TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 17TH FEBRUARY 2023)
So the LORD God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.
And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” Genesis 3:14-15 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 48TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS!
The LORD has been good, we are grateful for all His marvelous love and amazing kindness towards us. He is indeed mindful of us. Our lives testify of how mindful He is of us.
The psalmist says;
“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? Psalm 8:3-4 NKJV
We do not deserve all that the LORD has been doing in our lives. We do not qualify. But the Bible says, “He has qualified us by His precious blood.” It is that qualification that brings all we need from His presence to us.
It brings the peace we need in a trouble world, the victory we need in warfare, the interventions we need when things are not okay with us, the presence we need when in fellowship, the cleansing we need, when we sin against Him and defile our souls, and the preparation we need for the next life.
That is why the ancient saints held on strongly unto the blood of Jesus Christ. The revelation of its power burned in their hearts for generations.
Today is the 17th day of our 28-day journey of faith with the Cry of the Spirit, on supernatural living. We have been filled with some revelation knowledge on the subject. The blood of Jesus Christ is even responsible for the delivery of revelation knowledge. Moses depicted this when he would sprinkle the blood on the people before reading the law to them. The Bible says;
“And Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, “This is the blood of the covenant which the LORD has made with you according to all these words.” Exodus 24:8 NKJV
Today, we see a lot of preachers sprinkling things on people because of this scripture. But it has been fulfilled in Christ. So, do not allow anyone to sprinkle anything on you today.
IT WAS SPRINKLED TO DEPICT THE POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS, THAT GRANTS US ACCESS TO THE REVELATION KNOWLEDGE OF GOD (AMONG OTHER THINGS).
By the way, there are a lot of things Moses did, which has been fulfilled in Christ, which many faulty deliverance ministers still do today. That is very dangerous my friend. But because many are ignorant, they do not know these things; and you find most of them attacking those who try to warn them.
It is important to understand that, when we repeat in our age, symbolic things that have been fulfilled in Christ in the age past, we create paths for the dark supernatural to manifest among us. We facilitate the manifestation of the lying wonders of Satan in Church. We bring back the spirit of Nehushtan, and help Satan to be like the Most High in the house of God.
There is something we can call today the Nehushtan movement. It is a supernatural movement that tries to bring back the symbolic things that Moses did, and use them to unleash the dark supernatural on people, making them believe they are dealing with God. It started long before the cross. Concerning this movement, the Bible says;
“Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea the son of Elah, king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz, king of Judah, began to reign.
He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abi the daughter of Zechariah.
And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father David had done.
He removed the high places and broke the sacred pillars, cut down the wooden image and broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made; for until those days the children of Israel burned incense to it, and called it Nehushtan. 2 Kings 18:1-4 NKJV
We can see the Nehushtan movement in this scripture; we can see how Satan used what Moses did in the past, to be like the Most High through the Nehustan Movement.
THAT WAS LONG BEFORE THE CROSS.
The Bible says, the bronze serpent Moses had made, that depicted Christ becoming sin for us on the Cross, to heal the bite of the serpents (bite of sin) that invaded the camp of Israel, due to their rebellion in the wilderness, later became an object of worship long after they had settled in the promised land.
People in need, remembered what God did with it, and went back to seek God there. But they did not know that God was no longer there. They did not know that the dark supernatural had taken it over. That is what people do today when they use oil, water, blood of sprinkling and etc. in faulty deliverance ministries, to summon the supernatural.
Sadly, it manifests in their lives and allows the devil to be like the Most High in their lives.
For those who first established the Nehushtan movement, it provoked God’s anger against them, and other bad things were happening in their lives, until Hezekiah arose and broke it down.
The message here is, if we do not break down all Moses did, and all that was done in the dispensation of the law, which has been fulfilled in Christ, and keep practicing them due to the miracles that happened through them in the past, like raising of altars, sprinkling of blood, using of candles, and etc., to summon the supernatural, we will be ushering in the dark supernatural to solve our problems, thereby allowing Satan to be like the Most High in our lives, and consequently sharing in the curse of God on him and other fallen angels.
The Nehushtan movement that was born from the Brazen Serpent Moses made, remains a message for every generation of believers, including ours.
SADLY, GREAT SERVANTS OF GOD WHO BIRTH THE CHARISMATIC MOVEMENT, DO NOT KNOW THIS.
Most of them laid the foundation for the dark supernatural we see in Church today.
In their eagerness to move in the supernatural, most of them did not question the so-called leadings of the LORD they followed, even as it led them to duplicate what Moses did in the past. Hence, creating the environment for the enemy to be like the Most High in the lives of those they ministered to.
The miracles they got, made them feel, it was God they walked with. But they did not know that there was a darkness mixed with the light of God they were demonstrating. And because they lacked the apostolic truths to separate the light from the darkness, like God did at creation, they called all they saw “GOD at work,” while it was indeed a mixture of light and darkness that was at work.
The fact that a true and successful preacher is perpetrating these Nehushtan moves of the devil does not make him right. We should not exalt personalities above the truth of God’s word, in the guise of respect for the anointing they carry. Once the anointing is mixed, and you remain careless about it, you will become part of the dark supernatural without even knowing it.
Do not forget, Satan will always use what God has used in the past, to manifest himself as the Most High to people, and sit enthroned in their worship. You must therefore be careful when you seek the supernatural by the hands of prophets, or any deliverance minister, to solve your problems.
Do not allow them to minister to you using the Moses methods or the Methods of any Old Testament Prophet. It will create a path for the dark supernatural to manifest itself in your life.
The consequences will be silent, subtle, but terrible. When they will be happening, the prophet will not be there. They will happen long after you have engaged yourself in such things; long after they have used you to tell the whole world how powerful they are as men or women of GOD, you will be suffering in silence with no one to help.
UNDER GOD, I HAVE MINISTERED TO QUIET A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUFFERED A LOT FOR TOUCHING THE DARK SUPERNATURAL IN CHURCH.
Men and woman who walked into Churches rich, healthy, and strong, became poor and sickly years after touching the dark supernatural with their wealth. The married, even lost their marriages.
The cost of allowing Satan to manifest in your life as the Most High is enormous. There is something called “the curse of the wicked.” It is a curse God placed on Satan at the fall of man. Our devotional text is the very scripture that contains what God said that day. The text says;
“So the LORD God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.
And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” Genesis 3:14-15 NKJV
What can we glean from this scripture? A lot! We need to allow the light of God in it to shine into our hearts.
The scripture made it clear that God placed a curse on Satan. He said to him, “cursed are you more than the cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly shall you go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.” That is the first curse you share, if you touch the dark supernatural.
It is the curse you share, if you allow the Devil to Manifest himself as the Most High in your life, by solving your problems. When you share in it, even animals will become of more value than you. The kind of death, diseases, and evil that will never happen to animals will be happening to you.
You will be going by your belly (controlled and tormented by your needs), and eating shame or dust. The works of the flesh will become your only way of survival. You will not see good when it comes, and your life will just be a hard one.
THIS IS A BIT OF WHAT PEOPLE SHARE WHEN THEY TOUCH THE DARK SUPERNATURAL.
Though I have seen some cases where this curse speaks immediately, but generally, the curse does not speak at the beginning. It only speaks at the end, when they have even forgotten that a dark man of God once visited them.
It generally does not speak at the beginning because it is God’s sentence against evil work, and the Bible says “sentence against an evil work is not speedily executed.” That is why those who touch the dark supernatural will seem to be prospering at first.
The second curse people who touch the dark supernatural share with the devil, is in the second verse of our devotional text. The text says
“And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”
The Seed of the woman here is Christ. Those who prosper by the dark supernatural are establishing themselves to be the enemy of Christ, ignorantly. They are joining the enemy to resist His work, because Satan resist God by duplicating what He does or did in the past. You will never have Christ formed in your character if you become an enemy of the cross by an intercourse with the dark supernatural.
All the people I have seen, either in Church or outside the church, who are touching the dark supernatural or getting its miracles (but ignorantly sharing in this curse too) do not lead genuine Christian lives. They live very immoral and sinful lives. You will never have Christ formed in your character touching the dark supernatural, because it established you to be an enemy of the Seed of the woman, Christ, in the spirit realm.
Friend, there is so much about the cost of touching the dark supernatural that we cannot exhaust in a devotional. But the basic thing to understand is this; the reason for the lying wonders you see in Church today is to give people miracles, but make them share in the curse of God on Satan.
The curse of God on Satan is the mother of all curses in people’s lives. In your quest for supernatural living, please stay away from the dark supernatural.

“When the people [instead of trusting God] say to you, “Consult the mediums [who try to talk to the dead] and the soothsayers who chirp and whisper and mutter,” should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?
[Direct those people] to the law and to the testimony! If their teachings are not in accord with this word, it is because they have no dawn.
They [who consult mediums and soothsayers] will pass through the land deeply distressed and hungry, and when they are hungry, they will become enraged and will curse their king and their God as they look upward.
Then they will look to the earth, they will see only distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and they will be driven away into darkness and overwhelming night.” Isaiah 8:19-22 AMPC
