TODAY’S DEVOTION (Monday 4th May 2020)
“Say to God, “How awesome are your works! Through the greatness of your power your enemies shall submit themselves to you. All the earth shall worship you and sing praises to you; they shall sing praises to your name.” Psalms 66:3-4 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 124th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
It is the fourth day of our season of looking at matters of deep intimacy, and God has been faithful to us in refreshing our memories with things He shared with us in time past. With what we are experiencing in our Church in the house Services, other programs on morning cloud tv, and this platform, it is so clear that our God is under pressure to reveal Himself to us.
It seems to me that there is a portion of the revelation of Jesus Christ in the sea of human mysteries that is set to be emptied on us this season. May we position for it in Jesus precious name. Amen!
I have come to discover that the greatest curse on humans today, is not the devil or any of his works in our father’s houses as they say. The greatest curse on mankind is a life without the supernatural power of God.
There is financial power, political power, will power, success power, and all other kinds of secondary powers, but there is no RAW power of God in so many lives today.
One of the core products of deep intimacy is the release of God’s raw or ultimate power on us. This power is released at the point of our relationship with GOD where deep calls unto deep.
When God created man and placed him in the Garden of Eden, He did not give him political power to survive. He gave man HIS own Supernatural power to survive. That power is called “dominion.”
GOD’S SUPERNATURAL POWER WAS MAN’S INSTRUMENT OF SURVIVAL ON EARTH.
That was what Adam used to subdue every other created thing on the face of the earth as God had commanded. That was his instrument of not just survival but ruler ship as God’s regent on earth. All animals and created things obeyed him because he spoke in power from that source.
His voice was not just natural, commanding no power like ours today. His voice was supernatural; so powerful that no animal could disobey Him. Without that power he would not have been able to name the animals. But after the fall, he lost everything.
Life became chaotic and everything went out of control because mankind was unplugged from his God given power. He was unplugged from His power source. Satan could, after that, outsource things from hell into his life, but in the beginning, it was not so.
God’s Power is therefore the most essential blessing for living on the face of the earth. If we do not have that blessing, the enemy will be outsourcing things from hell into our lives. He will pick terrible spirits and throw them into our lives leading to an out break of terrible things in our lives.
Friend, the earth is too hot to live on without God’s raw power in your life. That is why we must go deep with God this season!
Without the power of God in your life, curses will rest, thrive, or fester in your life. Without the power of God in your life, sicknesses and diseases will hold sway in your life. Without the power of God in your life devils will turn your kids, business, ministry or whatever carries your name into a playground of afflictions.
The greatest hindrance to the success of many on the face of the earth is not demons or curses as many believe, but an absence of God’s supernatural power in their lives!
A MAJOR HIGHLIGHT IN OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT TODAY SAID,
“How awesome are your works! Through the greatness of your power your enemies shall submit themselves to you.”
Enemies do not submit through the greatness of our boasting, anger, hatred, or ill feelings against them. That is why Jesus said, “love your enemies.”
No matter how much you hate your enemies it will never neutralize their power and put them under your feet. That is why Jesus said love them, and even Pray for them as they hate and spitefully use you.
Our enemies will never submit to us through the greatness of our hate for them. Our enemies will submit to us through the greatness of the power of God in our lives.
I submit to you that if you catch the revelation of what God is saying this morning, you will chose to die than to live a Christian life without the greatness of God’s power flowing through you.
The most frustrating life to life is a Christian life without power from on high. You will just be watching the devil doing terrible things in or around your life.
Like I shared before, I have seen and heard Christians sing “I’m walking in power, I’m walking in miracle, I live a life of favor, I know who I am.” But if you look at their lives with the eyes of the Holy Spirit, you will begin to question which power they are really walking in.
Is it sexual power, political power, sin power, or the power of the flesh? Is it financial power they are singing about because I can’t see the greatness of God’s supernatural power in their lives? You cannot see their lives flaming with the Power of God’s consuming glory and their enemies submitting to them.
You cannot see the enemy submitting to them, rather you find the enemy ruling over them. They cannot cast out one demon, heal one sick person, or get people filled with the Holy Ghost. Yet they sing, we are walking in power.
THEY MAY BE WALKING IN POWER AS THEY SING BUT OBVIOUSLY IT IS NOT GOD’S POWER, THEY ARE WALKING IN. IT IS OTHER POWERS!
Most Christians who sing that song are really walking in sexual power. They live in all kinds of sexual sins and use it to get economic freedom then comes out to sing, “I’m walking in power…” God does not want this trend to continue that is why He is calling us to DEEP INTIMACY.
The source of the power that your enemies will submit to is the glory of God. The Bible described that glory as “the womb of His Holiness.” In other words, the very place where God’s Holiness flow from! That is the same place this dimension of God’s power flow from!!
That is why people who truly walk in God’s power also walk in God’s Holiness. People like Elisha in the Old Testament were immensely powerful prophets and very Holy men of God; all at the same time. The early apostles where men of power who did marvelous things in the name of Jesus; they were also Holy apostles of Jesus Christ – not like the sinful ones we have today.
The source of God’s power is where His Holiness also flows from. You cannot therefore be powerful and sinful. It is not possible. If you see a man or woman of God that is both sinful and powerful, that power did not come from God. It came from the evil one. That is why Jesus told the disciples;
“Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 19:20 NKJV
Devils can be subjected to you without your name being written in the book of life. And that happens when the power you are walking in is not from the womb of God’s Holiness – the place where God’s true power flows from. To get to the place where God’s power flows from, you must be deep with the true God; not devils that supply supernatural power.
YOU MUST EMBRACE THE REVELATION OF DEEP INTIMACY WITH GOD.
Deep intimacy with GOD is the only key that turns His power on in our lives. When the apostles gave themselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word, they walked in the greatness of God’s power. They turned their world upside down and devils screamed wherever they went.
But today, the reverse is the case. We drink Oil, use salt, light up candles, use mats and prayer cloths to pray, and do all the sorcery things ignorant and perverted ministers of the gospel invented, yet do not walk in the power they walked in. At best, some demonic manifestation will show up and we will call it God!
There is a call from the Throne Room of God to us here on earth, a call to DEEP INTIMACY. Only those who are deep with Jesus Christ will be strengthened with the power that comes from God’s glory and do exploits.
If you will therefore, give yourself entirely to prayers and to the ministry of the word as the early church did, you will truly walk in the greatness of God’s power and see your enemies submit themselves to you. That is the message of today’s devotional!!!
