TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 13TH JUNE 2023)**
“Who are these who fly like a cloud, and like doves to their roosts?
“Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me; and the ships of Tarshish will come first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of the Lord your God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because He has glorified you.” Isaiah 60:8-9 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 164th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.
Here we are again with a gift of another day. What a great day to be alive and well. What a time to be born. Our generation is one of the most blessed of all generations that God created.
I remember a generation that was born when God wanted to show the world that we are trapped in spiritual slavery. That generation was the generation of the sons of Jacob who spent hundreds of years in Egyptian slavery.
Come to think of it, Children were born in slavery, raised in slavery, and died in slavery during those horrific days. They were born to see slavery as the way of life. If they had any chance to be Educated, courses on becoming a successful slave would have been the discipline to pursue. They would have graduated with degrees in slavery because that was what their world was shaped to be.
However, there destiny was not to be slaves but a holy nation, God’s won special people, called to bring salvation to the entire world. So, in the fullness of time, Heaven raised a man in the person of Moses, to stand before Him and enforce their freedom from Egypt and her gods.
Your destiny is usually bigger and stronger that your captivity, that is why if you are in any form of captivity, God would always send Heavenly forces to enforce your deliverance. He will never allow any form of slavery to stop you from unleashing your destiny. If need be, He will use the process of time to make sure you are out.
The voice of our divine destiny has a way of coming to the ears of the LORD whenever something is happening in our lives. And when it comes, God would have respect for us and send for our liberty. Concerning the nation of Israel, the Bible says;
“Years later the king of Egypt died, but the Israelites were still groaning under their slavery and cried out for help. Their cry went up to God,
who heard their groaning and remembered his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He saw the slavery of the Israelites and was concerned for them.” Exodus 2:23-25 GNT
THERE IS ANOTHER DIMENSION OF TRUTH HERE.
Sometimes when we pray, God would hear our prayers, but until there is a covenant in our lives there could be no immediate move for intervention in the Spirit realm. It is the covenant that hastens answers to prayer in critical warfare.
God was concerned for Israel because they carried His pregnancy. The pregnancy was insured in the covenant God swore with Abraham. It hastened the move of God that resulted in their freedom. Do not live your life without having covenant connections with God in a Christ centered church. If you do, your destiny would never be fulfilled.
Do not try entering into a covenant with God in a synagogue of Satan, or a money-making machine being run as Church. You will be entering into a covenant with the Throne of Satan. So many people are in covenant with the Throne of Satan in so many Churches. It’s very sad.
Your destiny will always be targeted by the devil, he would always use a covenant with his throne to tie you down. That is why you must be careful what you call Church, and not be moved by signs and wonders. In fact, look for a Church that disciple people to know the LORD.
A Christ centered Church will disciple you to become intimate with Christ, then get your life tailored to covenant walk with God, bringing insurance to your destiny.
Do not be deceived about it, your destiny will need a covenant with God to be fulfilled. Covenants with God are the greatest insurance of divine destinies. That is why we operate the covenant in our ministry, and teach everyone among us not to live a life without covenant connection with God.
There are four basic covenants in the Kingdom of God. You can find the revelation in our book “Riding on Covenant Wings.”
You must ride on covenant wings for devils not to ride over you, especially if you have a prophetic assignment to accomplish with God, or divine destiny to pursue. One of the four major covenants that every child of God must embrace is the covenant of grace, another is the covenant of worship.
The covenant of worship has so many miniature covenants in them, including the covenant of stewardship.
Your destiny will need a covenant to be fulfilled. If there is a covenant in your life, God would always be deeply concerned each time you are in problems. Most times, before you call, He will answer, and while you are still speaking, He would hear.
DO NOT FORGET, WHENEVER YOUR PRAYER CRY GOES TO GOD, HE WILL REMEMBER HIS COVENANT IN YOUR LIFE AND SEND HELP.
God is always concerned with those who carry His vision, purpose, assignments, etc. and are in covenant walk with Him. He will always come through when they run into problems. That is why there have been no people of destiny with covenant connection with God, anywhere in the word (the Bible) or the world, that have ever remained in satanic captivity, permanently.
Some more truths we can glean from their experience tells us, it was not just the cry of the mouth of the nation of Israel that was heard, but the cry of their divine pregnancy because it was also going through pain. That teaches us that though our prayer voices can be heard in Heaven, but the voice of our divine destinies can also be heard.
So, the voice of the prophetic baby they carried was heard, and the covenant of God in their lives was remembered, by the LORD. The result was amazing moves of God in Egypt by the hand of Moses.
The Bible says, by the time God was through with ancient Egypt, even a dog could not bark at the Jews; God’s pregnant covenant people. That is what happens in the camp of your enemies when God move base on His covenant in your life. Other times, they could surround you, but will not be able to do anything to you. Covenant insurance are the greatest level of insurance in God’s kingdom.
Your destiny will need a covenant connection with God to be fulfilled. You must not just be pregnant with a divine destiny, you must tie your life to a covenant walk with God. You must be God’s pregnant covenant person in His kingdom.
However, in a prophetic sense, the generation of Israel that went to Egypt, was God’s missionary team to Egypt, born to slave and die so that the world will be made to know, that we are all slaves to sin and Satan, and needs a savior in the person of Jesus Christ, to be liberated and set free forever.
Every generation of God’s people will have its own divine destiny to fulfil. It will have its own part to play in God’s big redemptive plans for mankind. A generation that cannot sense its part and submit to it will end up becoming a wasted generation in God’s view.
OUR CHURCH GENERATION MUST UNDERSTAND THAT, DESTINYMATTERS ARE BIGGER THAN MARRIAGE MATTERS.
They are bigger than money and Church matters. Destiny matters are Kingdom matters. They consist of God’s eternal plans for you and me.
Destiny matters are designed by God to function as the compass of our individual lives. They are to a Child of God what the Compass is to a ship. They are the control tower of Christian life. If you are leading your life without a constant touch with matters of your divine destiny, you will be doomed like any aircraft with no constant touch with a control tower.
God designed matters of divine destiny to form the core of human life because the release of destiny, was the primary purpose Adam was created for. In other words, God created Adam to fulfil a divine destiny, and that destiny was to extend Heaven’s rule to the earth through worship.
Divine destiny was therefore behind our existence, so when we make it of no importance in our lives, we pierce ourselves with many sorrows.
That is why I tell people; until you take destiny matters to heart, don’t take any other matter to heart, because if you do, you will end up breeding corruption and destruction in your life.
Wherever you find people, who did things with their lives, without taking destiny matters to heart, or who went into marriages or other forms of relationships, without taking destiny matters to heart, you will always find them bleeding in life.
Yes, people who went into marriages without taking destiny matters to heart, are bleeding today; some are bleeding while in those marriages, others are bleeding away from those marriages. The same is applicable to those who took up careers, jobs, pastoral assignments, and other forms of life pursuits without considering matters of their destiny.
SADLY, MANY ARE IN ADVERSITY TODAY JUST BECAUSE OF THAT.
A major highlight in our devotional text today, is unique and revealing at the same time. It sounded like a question anobserver asked in amazement. It says;
“Who are these who fly like a cloud, and like doves to their roosts?
To me, there seems to be an insinuation here that God, perhaps, has aircrafts in the Spirit. You know, everything good man created to make life easy,came by divine inspiration; from the discovery of electricity, to whatever good you can think of.
Maybe birds were created as part of the revelation that God rides on a powerful aircraft sometimes.
David seems to have seen it in one of his devotional times and wrote down something like that in Psalm 18. If that is true, then God’s aircraft will not be a non living thing. It will be a living thing – something that is powered by God’s supernatural life instead of man-made engines.
Any way; please, don’t mind me and my wild imagination about God! That is how I think sometimes!! Let’s go to the subject of our devotional word for the day.
You gain altitude in life whenever you come into the revelation of your divine destiny. You maintain altitude in life when you stay in constant touch with that revelation. But the moment you lose touch with matters of your destiny, and keep moving, you will one day crash land, sometimes without remedy.
The role of the covenant is to help you stay in altitude, especially after you discover matters of your destiny. It is also to help you put a touch of sacrifice to it, so that you will always attract a fire from God. In the Kingdom of God, it is the life of sacrifice that we live, that always attracts a fire from God to us.
