TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 6TH AUGUST 2023)**
Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.
Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:2-3 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 218th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.
We thank God for life and for watching over us. If His mercies had not been on our side, I do not think we will be alive today. Blessed be the name of the LORD who has not given us as prey to the teeth of our enemies.
I believe, if all the enemy planned was fulfilled, we will not be alive today. But when your God has a history of not sleeping or slumbering, you survive even the worst attacks of the enemy on you. May His name be exalted, for ever and ever. Amen!
Today is the first day of another week, and as God would have it, we are beginning it in His presence. I can’t stop thinking how the resurrection of Christ changed everything, when it comes to days of corporate assembly.
Before then the people of Israel met for corporate fellowship on the last day of the week. But when Christ arose, all that changed to the glory of God, though few have not come to terms with that. Corporate meeting for the people of GOD moved from the last day of the week, to the first day of the week, making that a blessing for all who seek the LORD.
When we meet on the first day of the week, like today, we are actually meeting to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ; an event that changed so much in Human History.
That is why God cannot lead you not to come to Church, if you are worshiping where Christ is revealed. Sunday service, in its pure form, is a necessity for all of us and it is in its pure form if Christ is at the center of everything. We cannot therefore, sit at home and say, “I sense in the Spirit, not to attend church today.” We have to cross check such leadings.
There are devils today misleading people not to attend Sunday services that are grounds and pillars of truth but they do not mislead them when they worship in money making machines called Churches. The Spirit of God will not allow you to worship in places Jesus described as synagogues of Satan. Only a religious spirit will.
When we meet on Sunday like this, we are meeting to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It should be a place where the power of God manifests and Christ is revealed to us, cleansing people from all sins and granting us holiness, deliverance, and ability to possess our possessions in the kingdom.
THE REASONS WHY WE MUST NOT WORSHIP IN PLACES THAT THE LORD CALLS SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN ARE MANY.
One of them is this; we are in a unique prophetic seasons, when GOD is washing the elects with the water of the word, and opening portals of truth to diffuse the errors that we have built our faith on. For example, the errors of deliverance ministers, like the errors of spirit husbands, redemption of first born, raising of altars, silencing of altars, and the use of so many gadgets for prayers to summon the supernatural.
There is also the error of the false grace movement, like the error of presenting grace as a cover or an excuse to sin instead of a deliverance from the practice of sin, the error of once saved forever saved, the practice of seeking forgiveness without repenting from sins, having Christianity without the Holy Spirit, and all that.
Some of these portals of truth, are spiritual portals that open internally. When they open, we get clear cut understanding of scriptures. For those who may not be aware of spiritual portals, we have been teaching about them since we came to East Africa.
Maybe I need to refresh our memories on what portals are!
A “spiritual portal” is an entry point between the visible and the invisible world. It is a gate of either hell or Heaven. When you read Jesus saying, “The gates of hell shall not prevail” He was referring to portals of hell.
There are portals of hell and there are portals of Heaven. Portals of hell open downwards, but portals of Heaven open upwards.
Everyone who has ever died and gone to hell but granted mercy to return, has said his or her spirit descended downwards through a tunnel (or portal), and everyone who has ever died and gone to Heaven, but sent back to earth to complete one assignment or the other, has always said his or her spirit ascended into Heaven through a glorious tunnel (portal).
IN GENESIS CHAPTER 28:11-22, YOU FIND JACOB STUMBLING INTO A HEAVENLY PORTAL WHILE ALIVE.
We can step into either portal of hell or Heaven while alive. For instance, it was a Heavenly portal that both Enoch and Elijah used in going to Heaven alive. And it was a portal of hell that opened over Sodom and Gomorrah, hence the perversion and subsequent destruction.
The portal that Jacob stumbled into when he was running away from his brother Esau, was first discovered by his grandfather Abraham, in Genesis Chapter 12. The Bible says God used “dream language” to reveal the presence of the portal in that place to him. And he woke up and said;
.. “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!” Genesis 28:16-17 NKJV
This tells us that portals of Heaven should open in places where the people of God gather in fellowship. It should open so that we can feel the effect of being in the House of God, and touch the God of the house. A Sunday service, that did not leave you with an encounter with the God of the house, was not a fulfilling one for you.
Sadly, most Sunday services do not leave people with an encounter with the God of the house because many come to church to fulfill contrary reasons, and most churches are built around money making and fame seeking intentions and motives and not Christ. So, the portals of Heaven cannot open in such places, so that they can be transformed by the God of the house.
You see, if the portals of heaven do not open over people who assemble to worship the LORD, there is no way they will be able to fulfill their eternal and prophetic destiny.
Jesus said, there are portals or gates of hell and that He will make sure they do not prevail against us. These same portals can open over or within people unleashing a life of moral or religious darkness upon them. One-way Jesus helps in making sure they do not prevail against us is by leading us to fellowship in Churches where the agenda is Him and Him alone, nothing else.
Only He knows where such places are today!
Jacob’s encounter shows us that our lives must be consumed by Heavenly portals for portals of hell not to consume us. Yes, our hearts must be filled with truth from heavenly portals opened to uncover truths. When that happens, the presence of GOD will become tangible in our lives, like it was to Jacob.
WE WILL BEGIN TO EXPERIENCE THE VERY ESSENCE OF, “SO THE LORD IS IN THIS PLACE, AND I KNOW IT NOT.”
It is important therefore, that each and every one of us takes a responsibility of our spiritual lives, allow the LORD to lead us, and no longer blame people or things for anything that may be wrong with us. False preachers always make us play the blame game until we become stupid enough to be robbed through “GOD says” prophecies.
Friend, we live in a “blame game” generation, that is why the charlatans in the present church are having a field day!
For instance, a woman will get married to a good man but for lack of character and godly conduct, she will lose the man. Then when she goes to meet a prophet or prophetess for help, the so-called man or woman of God will blame it on her father’s house or some voices crying against her from the village or some gods or curses in her life. The same can be seen in the lives of men who cannot keep their marriages.
We blame people, our parents, or evil spirits for what our Godless, foolish, carnal, and wicked decisions brought upon us for not serving GOD in Spirit and in truth.
The matter becomes complicated if either of our parents suffered the same fate. We won’t see the lack of godly conduct or proper relationship with GOD and wickedness that has reigned in the hearts of the family under attack, from generation to generation. We will rather look at what the enemy had used it to do in that family, from generation to generation, calling it generational curses.
The real curse is not what the enemy may have done but the darkness in the hearts of family members that allowed Him to do it and that curse cannot be removed by anything other than a genuine encounter with the LORD for each member of the family and discipleship.
For instance, any husband or wife your carnal desires or anything outside the voice of the LORD gives you will eventually leave or become a worm in your life. Even if the LORD gives you the man or woman, you must allow the LORD to govern the marriage for it to be blissful.
IF THE LORD IS NOT THE SOURCE AND GOVERNOR OF THE DECISION TO HAVE THE MAN OR WOMAN IN OUR LIVES, THERE WILL BE TROUBLE.
Absence of divine will and not running our lives in God’s divine ways, is the only reason for unquenchable fires in the lives of people, nothing else. If we live our lives according to divine will, and allow the ways of GOD to govern them, there will be no curses or whatever in our lives.
It is not the presence of curses, evil foundations, or whatever that is destroying men’s lives, but the absence of the governing power of God’s will and ways in their lives. Like I said, if you are not schooled in the things of GOD you will be skewed by con men and women in God’s garment using the things of devils.
If you synchronize your life with divine will and ways, you will force the demonic out of your life. Even if an evil foundation is responsible for a case in your life as they say, once you do things in the will and ways of God, you will switch foundations in the spirit realm.
The foundation of the LORD will become your foundation; and if you become established on the foundation of the LORD, it will result in total and complete freedom. You will be free from all forms of darkness and wickedness or what is call “evil altars and foundations.” You will not need to break or silence anything, because you will begin to live in realms where that cannot reach you.
The foundation of the LORD is like a stone that crushes every other foundation. It is more powerful than any prophet or deliverance prayer. It is the missing “deliverance agent” in the lives of everyone under spiritual attack. The Bible says;
“And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” Matthew 21:44 NKJV
WHOEVER IS WHOEVER; IT COVERS PEOPLE AND THE SPIRITS BEHIND THEM.
It covers the gods of your house and all forms of household enemies. It covers ancestral curses and the voices they claim cry against people from their villages. It covers what they call evil foundation.
Jesus said “whoever.” It will be stupid to believe a preacher over Jesus Christ and what He has already said in His word. This stone that breaks every other foundation or kingdom, is the foundation to have in your life as a Christian or to make sure all your family members have, in order for them to be free from all things that make people take prophets, intercessors, and prophetesses to their villages to do the unthinkable.
What am I trying to say this morning? I know there are devils and curses. The Bible said so. But looking externally for what is caused by an internal thing has not helped anybody apart from the prophets, intercessors, prophetesses, and pastors, who make money out of it.
That is why many who joined their ministries full, are leaving empty. Those who went empty of troubles are leaving full of wars and crises. And they make matters worse by threatening others not to leave else they curse them.
Friend, you will increase your predicament looking externally if what is killing you is internal. You will be going from church to church looking for the acts of GOD without finding a solution to your problems. A generation that pursues the acts of God at the expense of scriptural revelation of His ways, stands the risk of losing so much to falsehood and deception!
As we bring this devotional to a close, I want you to understand that there are two Churches in the “one Church” that make up the body of Christ on the face of the earth today. It’s like the two Children in the womb of Rebecca; we have the “harlot Church” of the book of Isaiah 4:1, and the “true Church” as depicted in the doctrine of Christ.
The harlot Church seeks for the “manifestation” of the acts of God alone, but the true Church seeks for the “revelation” of His ways. Because you can never have His ways without seeing His acts! Preachers who swindle people, are part of the harlot church. That is why it is erroneous to call them men or women of God.
This end time, there will be a people who will be gathering every Sunday morning for the revelation of God’s way and there will be those who will be gathering for His acts. Those who will be gathering every Sunday for His acts will be conned by con men and women in God’s garment, but those who will be gathering for His ways will be seeing His glory each time they appear in Zion.
Our devotional text this morning speaks of the rise of a unique breed that will rise out of the true Church in the end time. This breed will be more interested in learning the ways and paths of the LORD than pursuing His acts. A major highlight says,
“Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” Isaiah 2:3 NKJV
It’s my prayer this morning that you spend today, and the rest of your life, joining the breed that will say “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths”* ***in Jesus’ precious name!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR TODAY;
“I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land.
Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase.
Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway.” Psalms 85:8-13 NKJV
