TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 15TH DECEMBER 2023)
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Proverbs 29:18 KJV
WELCOME TO THE 349TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.
Glory be to God that the cost of staying alive is not on us but on Him. As we all get ready for the yuletide season, thanking God should be the standard.
We are to thank Him for coming in the likeness of man, Jesus Christ, to save us from our sins. This move is the reason why all of us can get back from a life of sin, to a life of purity. We are to thank Him for sending His Holy Spirit to be with us.
We are to thank Him for dealing with us according to His faithfulness. We are to thank Him for healing us of our diseases, delivering us from the powers of darkness, shielding us from harm, and not giving us to the will of our enemies.
We are to thank Him for the specific miracles He has been doing in our lives. If we make this, a season of thanksgiving, He will crown our year with His goodness.
It is a great day from the LORD and today we will be looking at matters of our divine destiny, as Christians.
To start with, many of us do not know that the word Christian, was a word that was originally used to describe a people who moved from the traditions of men to that of God.
It was used to describe a people, who caught something beyond this world, and began to unleash it on the face of the earth. They received God into their lives in the name of Christ, and allowed Him to live a life He has pre determine for mankind through them.
They literally released a divine destiny from eternity to time, and won their world back to Jesus Christ, the maker of Heaven and Earth.
Since destiny has to do with a pre-determined or pre-planned life, I want you to understand that, the release of divine destiny is the essence of Christianity, because Christianity has been pre planned by God in Heaven before it was born in time.
It is a Heavenly life that God prepared in advance in Christ Jesus, to be lived on earth by redeemed men. The Bible puts it this way;
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 NIV
THE KEY WORD HERE IS “GOD PREPARED IN ADVANCE”
That is why you do not come into Christ with your plans, ideologies, or etc. You come into Christ the way you are, and He gives you plans to pursue and ideologies to make your ideology. You come into a prepared life, leaving everything about you behind, and embracing everything about Him.
Christianity is all about unleashing on earth, a Heavenly life that was prepared in advance by God in Christ. When you become a Christian, you receive the Holy Spirit to enable you release that life on earth. That life is actually the reason you were born into the Kingdom.
In clear terms, we are born into God’s kingdom, to release on earth, the pre-planned life God prepared in advance, and hid for us in Christ.
That is the life we call our prophetic purpose, or our reason for being born on earth. That is why, wherever divine destiny is released, you find that Heavenly life in full manifestation, you find the purpose of Christianity is fulfilled; and where this purpose is fulfilled, prosperity is inevitable.
Talking about prosperity, I have always taught that poverty is most times the consequence of not sensing why you are here, and pursuing it with the whole of your heart.
Your divine destiny has to do with the Heaven’s pre-planned life we are sharing about this morning; it is full of God’s goals, visions and purposes for our life on earth. It is the store house of our economic prosperity. That is where our economic freedom is to come from.
That is why you only become economically free when you begin to unleash it on earth.
In other words, God buried our riches in His pre-planned life for us; our divine destiny. He made sure the storehouse of our provisions, is buried within His assignment for our lives. Except we key into the prosperity of the wicked, none of us will be economically free, if we do not come into God’s assignment for our lives.
THE PROSPERITY OF THE RIGHTEOUS ONLY COMES, WHEN HE OR SHE RELEASES, HIS OR HER DIVINE DESTINY.
That is why there would have been no poor one among us, if all Christians had focused their faith on releasing their divine destiny, in Christ Jesus. There would have been no poor one among us the way there was none among the Jews when they came out of Egypt.
In case you have not seen it in scriptures, I submit to you that when Israel (the Church in the Old Testament) came out of Egypt, there was no poor one among them.
Everyone was made a Billionaire in one night because they all stepped into divine destiny.
Previously, when they were in Egypt doing what was not God’s assignment for their lives, everyone was poor. They were economic slaves. That teaches us that, we will remain economic slaves in this world, if we keep doing what is not God’s assignment for our lives!
The same divine feat was repeated in the early years of the New Testament Church, that we all belong to. When they came out of the outer darkness and began the Church movement, they Bible say there was no poor one among them. Great grace was upon them all, and no one lacked anything.
That is still part of God’s economic vision for the end time Church. It is His economic vision for your life on earth. His vision remains, to erase lack from the saints so that we can have the sufficiency to do His will, but the vision will never be fulfilled until we become divine destiny driven.
Friend, life can be beautiful if we ask some questions about our divine destiny, and try to answer them. Let me ask you this; what is the worth of a man’s destiny? In my opinion, only eternity can tell.
I have seen the prosperity in one man’s divine destiny take care of his entire lineage. I have seen people with the courage to pursue God’s assignment for their lives not lacking any good thing.
Personally, I started releasing my destiny at 16. A lot has come out of it. It has taken care of so many people in my life. With over 31 years of experience in these matters (though small), I can boldly say, your money is in God’s assignment for your life.
YOUR LACK OF MONEY IS A PROOF THAT YOU ARE NOT IN GOD’S ASSIGNMENT FOR YOUR LIFE.
From personal experiences, I learnt that there is no poor one on the face of the earth. We only have people who are yet to eat from the wealth in their divine destiny. You could be one of them reading this.
Our devotional text said, “Where there is no vision people perish”. Vision is the unfolding or prophetic revelation of what God buried in your destiny. It involves the revelation or unfolding of His assignment for your life on earth, the very place your money is.
Vision is what activates the release of a divine destiny.
If you lack the vision of what God created you to do, you will never come into the prosperity of the righteous. If you lack the revelation of what God buried in your destiny and the power to unleash it, you will either remain poor or key into the prosperity of the wicked for economic freedom.
Poverty is so unnecessary! It is always as a result of lack of vision or lack of power to unleash a vision.
Friend, wherever God’s assignment for your life is, there your money lies. Sadly, people will prefer looking up to others for money instead of looking up to God to reveal where His assignment for their lives lies.
As we bring this to a close, I want to submit to us all, that, we all have all we need buried in God’s assignment for our lives.
We should stop insulting God, by begging, stealing, being lazy, or doing nothing meaningful but expecting to be financially free, and start unleashing our destiny, by pursuing His assignment for our lives.
We may not need to start big but small. However we start, the favour of the LORD will be upon us. His special blessings for people who do not despise days of small beginnings, will rest upon us.
It’s a new Day!!!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY
“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;” Genesis 26:12-13 NKJV
