TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 29TH DECEMBER 2023)
“What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.” Psalm 8:4-5 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 363RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS.
God is faithful and kind. If He was not that, we will not be here. I will repeat this over and over again, and will keep repeating them until my last breath.
It is His kindness that has kept us through and through. His mercies have taken us from second to second, minute to minute, day to day, week to week, month to month, and year to year.
This morning our devotional thoughts will be towards a special ministry in God’s kingdom that many of us in the faith, maybe, know about; the ministry of angels.
God has classes of angels that do His work. We are His greatest attention on earth, so they work for us.
It is important that a believer get his or her faith established on the ministry of angels. Revelation of the same, will do so much to help any believer in enjoying the most of their activities.
Let’s take our eyes off the fall of man for a minute, and see things from a “no fall” point of view.
From a “no fall point of view,” man was created in God’s image and likeness. He was a small “G” on earth. Whatever the big “G” was, man was the small version of it before his fall.
For instance, the big “G” lives in glory and is full of glory. In the same way, the small “G” lived in a portal of glory that had multiple portals all over the Garden of Eden and was full of God’s glory.
He was so full of God’s glory that even after He left the garden, he did not immediately lose it.
History has it that the glory within Adam was so much. He lost the Garden, but did not immediately lose it. It took 930 years of living outside the garden, for it to be completely lost.
THE DAY HE LOST THE LAST OUNCE OF THE GLORY, WAS THE DAY HE DIED.
To understand this better, an analogy of aquatics will be necessary. Let us look at a common aquatic animal called fish.
Fishes live in the water. They swim, feed, procreate, grow, and die in the water. The way they were created to live in the water, so was man created and built to live in the glory of GOD. But while fishes could die in the water, man could not die in the glory.
In the glory there is no death. There is just transformation from glory to glory. When man was sent out of the garden, the realm of God’s glory for him, it was like a fish sent out of the water, where it was created to live in.
A fish will survive life outside the water only as long as the water inside it remains. In the same way, man survived life outside the garden as long as the glory of God in Him remained. When the last ounce of it was lost, he died.
I hope you understand. There is so much about these truths contained in many of our messages.
We are talking about angels, so let’s see the next characteristic of God that was in Adam before the fall. The big “G” is immortal, omnipotent, omnipresence, and omniscience. He has millions of angels ministering to Him!
Now, before the fall, Adam was the small version of all these qualities.
As Immortal he could not die. He fed on the tree of life. I knew this because the big “G” God said to him, “the day you eat of this you will surely die”.
Man became hundred percent mortal after the fall. Paul made it clear that both spiritual and natural death came into the human race through sin. Sin killed the ability of the flesh to be immortal.
Sin will kill any spiritual abilities we have over time; I mean glory abilities. That is why, to remain potent in the realm of glory, you must use the grace of God upon your life to put your flesh under subjection, and not live a life of sin.
As omnipotent, man was always powerful both spiritually and naturally. The word omnipotent simply means “all powerful” or “always powerful.” God is all and always powerful.
MAN HAD A SMALL VERSION OF THIS BEFORE THE FALL.
He had dominion over everything God created – an ever potent and always powerful dominion. He never lost his power for a moment until sin came in.
When sin came into the picture, what could not stand before him started chasing him. Sin has been man’s age long destruction. This is still being repeated today; things that were not design to stand our presence have not ceased from chasing mankind about.
Even Christians who do not live pure and holy lives, have demons that should not stand their presence chasing them.
We have diseases that should not come near us, living in us. We have so many dark and sorrowful things that should be far from us very close to us. A life of sin can bring in untold destruction to a believer; things that false or misled preachers will blame on some altars.
As omnipresence, man could swiftly be in different places, not at the same time but within a timeless speed.
The word omnipresence means “to be in all places at the same time”. That is the big version of it. Man had the small version. He could swiftly be in different places not at the same time but within a timeless speed.
As omniscience, man was all knowing in a small sense of it. The word omniscience means “all knowing”. Man had a small version of this. This supernatural intelligence was displayed when he named the animals.
The Bible says the naming ceremony was so profound and the names so accurate that God allowed every name he gave to be so. No name was repeated. Each animal, insect, micro organism, sea creature, bird, and etc. got a name.
Man had a small version of God’s omniscience nature. But the fall changed everything. Today, to have a fore taste of the ability, you must be in fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Lastly, as earlier stated, God has millions, billions, and trillions of angels ministering to Him. Man also had angels ministering to him.
This is still possible today; the small version that was available to man before the fall. I believe then, he could interact with these supernatural beings and commune with them the way we talk to a friend in the natural. They could also talk back to him and just have a chat with him about heavenly things.
MAN ENJOYED GREAT ANGELIC MINISTRY. TODAY WE CALL IT “THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS.”
The good news about all these things is this; the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, and subsequent outpouring of the Holy Ghost, made it possible again to be the small version of what man was before the fall.
I have met people who have tasted these things even in our generation. Space and time, will not allow me to be detailed, but the full truth will be taught in future.
As you prepare for 2024, make up your mind to get yourself fully back to the things that man lost to the fall; because they have been restored in the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Spirit is the One that helps us to come into the small versions of these divine attributes of God that Adam had before the fall. His is here to help us enjoy a small version of angelic ministry, in this life.
God assigned angels to minister to us, the redeemed men. The Holy Ghost is here to help us enjoy that to the full.
Amazingly, though we the redeemed of the LORD, are blessed with a special heritage that helps us to enjoy unlimited ministry from these beings, even the unredeemed are not left out. God in His mercies has a way of making sure every human enjoys a limited ministry of angels.
There is limited and unlimited ministry of angels. It takes a relationship with Jesus, being in God’s will, and walking in obedience to enjoy an unlimited ministry of these supernatural creatures, and that is what God sent this word to activate in your life this day!
I pray for us today, that all through 2024, angels will minister to us. We will enjoy unlimited ministry of angels. They will bear our Children up. They will shield us and ours from danger.
They will open ancient doors to the supernatural to us and bring us into miracles. They will be descending upon us with blessing, and ascending with our burdens to the LORD, in Jesus’ precious name. AMEN!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
“Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” Hebrew 1:14 NKJV
