THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (THURSDAY 18TH APRIL 2024)

Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences. 2 Corinthians 5:9-11 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 109TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

Sadly, not everyone who started the year is alive today. Many are no more because the year marked the end of days for some. But for others, there are many more years to live. To the glory of God, we fall under that category!!

May we use each day we are given, to live right, and serve our generation according to the will of God, so that when our days will be over too, we will be welcomed by the LORD Himself with these words;

“..Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew 25:21 KJV

Time was indeed created to bring things to an end. It was created to bring both good and bad things to an end, because we are on a journey to the new Heaven and the new earth, where righteousness dwells.

When we get there, there will no longer be any reason to bring a thing to an end, because there will be no more evil. Time itself will be no more because it would have fulfilled its purpose. But until then, it will keep bringing lives to their appointed end.

Yes, as it stands now, many have been brought to their appointed ends. Some are now in Heaven while others are in hell.

Those in Heaven have gone to join people like Adam, Enoch, Abraham, and the rest of the saints who consist of the Church in Heaven. But those in hell have gone to join Cain, his entire lineage, Nimrod and the rest of those the Bible made clear that they are in hell – the abode of the dead.

God never created any human soul to spend eternity in hell.

Jesus made it clear that hell was made for Satan and his angels. It was not made for any human. Just as Heaven was not made for Satan and his fallen angels, but for human beings who will spend their days walking in the ways of God the Father and doing His will.

IT’S HUMAN DECISIONS FOR OR AGAINST CHRIST THAT DETERMINES IF SOMEONE WILL GO TO HELL OR HEAVEN.

People go to hell because of their decisions, their decisions to align with the ways and will of Satan and his fallen angels. When one aligns with the ways and will of the fallen angel, they begin to love or live in sinful and wicked lives.

God has no pleasure in the death of a sinner or one who will go to hell. The reason is simple. Peter put it this way;

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NKJV

He is not willing and has never been willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. He wants all of us to be saved from eternal damnation. It is the death of the righteous who has fulfilled His days and will for his life that God rejoices over.

The Bible says;

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15 NKJV

But the death of a sinner remains an abomination to God. An abomination is something that God cannot look at. When a sinner dies, God cannot look at the soul because of its eternal destination.

When He looks at it, He sees His investments lost forever.

That is why He has set a way of Salvation for all mankind. He made Jesus that way. If we accept Him as LORD and Savior, we will get His life. If we get His life, we will begin to live our days following His truth in the Bible.

If we live our days following His truth in the Bible, we will save our souls from hell. Our death will not be an abomination to the LORD, but precious in His sight, because we will be going right into His arms, to our eternal home, when we die.

Sadly, it has been erroneously presented that once one recites the sinner’s prayer, they are saved. But the Bible did not say so. It did not say all who recite the sinner’s prayer and join a Church will go to Heaven. It says that all who come to repentance will make Heaven.

We go to church to get saved and stay saved. There is getting saved from eternal damnation, and there is staying saved. We go to church just for that reason.

TO RECEIVE WHAT IT TAKES TO GET AND STAY SAVED.

The greatest tragedy in the human race is not really death, but dying without Christ. The reason is because of the eternal consequence it brings on a human soul.

If we will not die and have our souls dumped in hell the second we step out of our bodies, there are certain truths we must spend our earthly days with. If death will be a blessing to us, we must embrace them strongly.

You see, death is a curse to all hell BOUND people but a blessing to all Heaven BOUND souls. That was why people like Apostle Paul, and the rest of the early Church, could discuss with death. They were never scared of it.

They knew where they were going after their transition. In fact, Peter told death how to kill him. That was how his dominion over death was displayed.

Apostle Paul said;

“For me to live is Christ [His life in me], and to die is gain [the gain of the glory of eternity].

If, however, it is to be life in the flesh and I am to live on here, that means fruitful service for me; so I can say nothing as to my personal preference [I cannot choose],

But I am hard pressed between the two. My yearning desire is to depart (to be free of this world, to set forth) and be with Christ, for that is far, far better; Philippians 1:21-23 AMP

Did you see something in this scripture? Can you see the revelation in it?

The man of GOD said it was far, far better for him to die, than to live. That, for him to live is great but to die is better, not because he wanted to commit suicide but because he had settled the issue of where he will go when he dies.

You see, death is a blessing to the redeemed not a curse. It is premature death that is not welcomed in the kingdom, but once we have fulfilled our days, death becomes a blessing.

Premature death is not you dying at a tender age or at the flower of age. That is the world’s definition.

PREMATURE DEATH IS YOU DYING WITHOUT FULFILLING YOUR PROPHETIC PURPOSE.

In other words if you die at 100 years without fulfilling your purpose, you just died premature. If you die at 33 like Christ, finishing why you were here, it is not premature. That is the mystery.

Let us wrap up this devotional, by looking at one major truth to spend our earthly life with. That truth is simple. It says,“we did not create ourselves.” No one formed himself or herself in his or her mother’s womb. No one sat with God in Heaven and decided to be born on earth.

We were formed in our mother’s womb through the law of procreation, and God breathing His Spirit into us, through the same law.

In clear terms, two laws were responsible for our formation – the law of procreation and that of creation. That of creation reproduces the human spirit and soul, and that of procreation produces the human body.

The law of procreation is a natural law but that of creation is a spiritual law. The former is scientific but the latter is divine.

These laws are laws God set in motion to multiply the earth. They work regardless. That is why,even if a woman is not married to someone, she can have a Child for him. This is obvious because most people were not born in wedlocks.

The law of creation and that of procreation was just activated by sexual passion and a child was conceived. However in GOD’s plan He wanted the two laws to be activated after marriage, so that a family can be formed before Children are born.

God knows that human lives will be scattered in different directions if that did not happen. But sin, self, and Satan altered the plan and today we have this laws activated outside marital or family security.

WE CALL THIS, GOD’S PLAN FOR CONCEPTION.

Sadly, so many destinies have been destroyed because they were conceived outside God’s plan for conception. Can we count the number of Children that have been aborted simply because the laws of procreation and creation were activated outside marital boundaries?

Except for those who have repented, billions of unborn babies are crying for justice in the spirit realm every moment. So the first truth we must have in our heart is that, “WE DID NOT CREATE YOURSELF.” God created us.

The laws He put in motion created us. The Psalmist said;

“Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” Psalms 100:3 NKJV

Since we did not create ourselves, someone created us and we will give account to Him when we die. We will give account on how we live our lives, because the life is not our own.

Sadly, so many of us are living lives that will unlock a harsh judgment when we get to Heaven.

The message of the LORD for those of us who live that way is repentance. We should repent of all our wrong doings, and find churches that will help us in living lives that will be blessed in the day of judgment, instead of lives that will perish.

Repentance is only acceptable before we cross the river to the other side. We must embrace it now before it is too late.

The question this morning is, are we living lives that will be celebrated in Heaven or dumped in hell when we die? That is the question that everyone on the face of the earth must keep asking themselves.

Friend, this is not a devotional you read and just pass it away. This is a devotional to read, print out and keep or save in a gadget for future reference.

We must keep judging ourselves so that we will not be judge on the final day.

LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY!

“For if we searchingly examined ourselves [detecting our shortcomings and recognizing our own condition], we should not be judged and penalty decreed [by the divine judgment].” 1 Corinthians 11:31 AMP

“For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.” 1 Corinthians 11:31 KJV
