TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 7TH MAY 2024)
“The Lord gave the word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it:” Psalm 68:11 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 128TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.
May the LORD God be glorified for giving us another day to be alive and well. The LORD spoke to us yesterday on finding Heavenly patterns for our lives on earth.
His word made it clear to us that His glory cannot rest upon our lives, until we discover Heavenly patterns for our earthly lives and live our days according to them.
We discovered that living in sin is not a Heavenly pattern. Living in lawlessness is not a Heavenly pattern. Being a preacher while God has not called you into ministry, is not a Heavenly pattern.
Preaching heresies or any money-making doctrine as the gospel, is not a Heavenly pattern.
Asking suffering people to sow a seed to be free from their sufferings, or raise an altar or silence one to change their lives, is not a Heavenly pattern for any deliverance ministry. Becoming rich by following the systems of this world is not a heavenly pattern.
Having the prosperity of the wicked is not a Heavenly pattern for anyone.
Taking another person’s husband is not a Heavenly pattern for any woman. Neither is taking another person’s wife a Heavenly pattern for any man. Using sex to gain fame, show gratitude or earn a living, is not a Heavenly pattern for any man or woman. Begging and borrowing is not a Heavenly pattern for any one.
Doing nothing to earn a living and not bothering yourself about it is not a Heavenly pattern for anyone’s economy life. Telling a lie is not a Heavenly pattern. Getting and Staying married in the ways of this world is not a Heavenly pattern.
Sleeping with someone you are not married to and hoping he or she will marry you, is not a Heavenly pattern for any single man or woman.
The LORD showed us things we do that are not His pattern for our lives, and how they ruin us. He even frowned against us comparing ourselves with others. He made it clear that when we do so, we copy what they do; we begin to imitate them.
When we imitate them, we begin to live their pattern of life, shutting down His own pattern of life for us. That is how we lose our originality and step into another person’s originality.
SADLY, MANY ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THAT, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS MEETING THEIR EARTHLY NEEDS.
Yes, there is the principle of sonship in the kingdom of God, where you can be like the person, who birth you into Heavenly things. But even at that, you are birth into God’s Heavenly pattern for your life by the person.
You could have some traits or resemblances of that person, but it will be original, not a counterfeit or a photocopy. You did not earn that by comparing yourself with the person, but by carrying the person’s spiritual DNA.
It is when you compare yourself with others and imitate what they do that you become either a counterfeit or a photocopy of them.
Friend, it is not God’s will that we be photocopies or counterfeits.
We can learn some values from people in order to overcome our vices and lead better lives, but comparing ourselves with them and becoming a copy of them, is not the will of God.
His will is that we sync our lives with His pattern for us. It is when we do that, that we will see His original glory for our lives, resting upon us. That original glory will not be found anywhere else except on your life.
The BIBLE made it clear that there is so much we will enjoy from Heaven when God’s glory begins to radiate or rest upon us. One of it is the release of choice people into our lives; choice people that our lives need to glow and be fulfilled.
In one place, it says, “kings will come to the brightness of our rising.” In another, it says, “kings and queens shall be our nursing fathers and mothers.” When that happens, our shame or dust will be taken away. It says they will take away our shame or dust.
Come to think of it, who will not want that to happen in their lives?
Maybe, let me share a bit about the importance of choice people in our lives, and why the glory of God attracts them.
God has a History of using men to reach men with His goodness, greatness, kindness, love, power, purity, blessings, Heavenly treasure, favor, revelation, grace, mercy, compassion, prosperity for their lives, and etc.
That is why you cannot afford to be alone in life. The rule still remains it is not good for a man, who has a destiny to fulfill or a will of God to accomplish on earth, to be alone.
THAT IS WHY GOD HAS A HISTORY OF GIVING SUCH PEOPLE BLESSED PEOPLE TO BE IN THEIR LIVES.
The persons are not the ones to be scheming and looking for people.
If you truly have a destiny to fulfill, or a will of God to accomplish on earth, anyone you scheme to get will eventually ruin you at the long run, or will never be beneficial to you, so long as matters of destiny are concerned.
There is a division of labor in these matters.
Our job is not to be living our days looking for choice people to be in our lives, but to live them according to God’s pattern for them. It is God’s responsibility to assemble choice people around our lives as we live our days according to His will or pattern for our lives.
I believe God has spoken to someone already. As we bring this to a close, understand that the gift of men to men is one of the greatest gifts in the Kingdom. But it is a gift.
A gift is a thing given willingly to someone without payment. It is not what you become desperate, worrying, or scheming for. You just maintain a great relationship with the giver, and all he or she has will be yours. That is the principle to embrace if you want to receive choice or blessed people from God.
Understand that God created every man to “depend” on Him for success, but depending on Him does not mean we will not need men. When you depend on God, He will send the men you need to become what he has created you to be to you.
The self- made claims of some is delusional or maybe deceptive.
There is no self-made man anywhere in the world. Every successful person is a product of pieces of imputes from the different people God made the person to meet in life, or those hired by him or her to serve in different capacities.
So, no matter the weight of your anointing or gifting, at one point or the other, another man will be involved in your life to take you to the next place God wants you to be in life.
Our devotional text said,
“The Lord gave the word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it:”
WHATEVER THE LORD GIVES WILL REQUIRE APPOINTED PEOPLE FOR IT TO BE TAKEN FROM THE DECLARATION TO THE MANIFESTATION.
I have come to discover that a divine plan may be revealed to one heart. But for it to be executed, it must be transmitted to many hearts.
Most of what the LORD will put in your heart to do as His child will need a company of people to be performed or brought to fulfilment. The work of the LORD is usually too huge for one man to take from start to finish.
A man may provide leadership but without a corresponding followership, things will be difficult. At conception, a vision may need just a man but for its manifestation to take place, it will need people.
Let me say this in conclusion; understand that there are times God seeks for just one man to do a job. But I have come to realize that, whenever God seek for a man, it is to impregnate his spirit with His plans and purposes.
But whenever He wants to move those plans and purposes from the declaration to the manifestation, He will seek for men.
It takes a man who is walking with the LORD to spark something in God’s kingdom, but it takes men who will walk with the LORD, to take that thing forward and make it cover the earth like the waters cover the sea.
So, if your life is without needed men, you could be gifted, uncommonly graced or blessed, but your efforts will not be crowned with success.
Do not isolate yourself when the LORD has given you things to do in His kingdom. Pursue peace with all men of GOOD WILL, not just all men. Then follow God’s pattern of life for you, and watch out for the men and women He will touch to come join and help you succeed in what He has graced you to do or be.
May the Holy Spirit take these truths further and cause a brighter light to shine upon you in Jesus’ precious name! Amen
