THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (SATURDAY 12TH OCTOBER 2024)

“O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your possessions —

These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season. What you give them they gather in; you open your hand, they are filled with good.” Psalms 104:24, 27, 28 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 286TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

In our devotional today, we will be uncovering the power of divine seasons.

You see, if prophetic purpose is what governs your life style on earth, one of the major revelations you must be traveling in life with is the revelation of the mystery of divine season.

That is what will be required so that you can understand how to TIME your life on earth; especially according to God’s seasons for your life.

Timing is a necessity for the realization of prophetic destiny. It is what should determine when we do what. Many people are backward in life, and many more are on their way to being backward in life for not understanding the principle of divine timing.

However, as important as the principle is, you will never be able to walk in divine timing if you lack the revelation of divine seasons.
Our Church generation is yet to come to the full revelation of divine seasons, especially the seasons of the seven classes of eternal life. That is why we struggle and let life go in a circle.

One of the major mysteries we learned in our longest Television Teaching Outreach, the 50 days wings of the Spirit, is the “Mystery of Set Times.”

THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT GOD LIVES IN ETERNITY BUT MEETS US IN A SYSTEM CALLED TIMES AND SEASON.

He does things under Heaven in times and seasons. That is why it is really deadly, spiritually, to be spiritually deaf.

If you are deaf spiritually, you will not be able to sense God’s times and seasons for your life. That will make you miss great opportunities or amazing blessings from the LORD.

Let me show you what may be keeping your life in a circle. I said it before that the difference between the glorious you and the gory you exist in your ability to recognize and seize a supernaturally determined season of God for your life.

God’s determined season brings significant blessings our ways. If we do not know how to cease them, we will live very painful lives on earth. You see, this Life we live was created on earth to be lived in seasons! If we do not understand that, we may be making life decisions for certain things in un-favorable seasons for those things, and keeping our lives under unpleasant circumstances for a long time.

We will not be able to experience breakthroughs because breakthroughs in the kingdom are products of times and seasons.

The Bible made it clear that lasting blessings comes in their seasons. If we do not come to terms with it, we will keep struggling, fighting, competing with ourselves, and taking decisions that will result in more and more struggles.

Those who understand God’s will for their lives and His pre-determined success season for them do not compete with anyone. They live according to divine will, comparing and aligning themselves with no one but the will of God for their lives.

That is why they do not get upset or jealous when their friends get married, neither do they mock others feeling very important when they get married or achieve one thing or the other. They know the season of the other person will come just as their own came.

They know that times and seasons are the forces that determine success in life!

MOST OF OUR WORRIES AND TROUBLES IN LIFE ARE CONSEQUENCES OF NOT UNDERSTANDING THESE SIMPLE BUT PROFOUND TRUTHS.

Season is what determines success in life because times have been given the power to determine certain triumphs in life.

For instance, when the time comes for a wicked man to die, nothing can stop TIME from taking his life. When the season comes for faithfulness to be rewarded by Heaven, no force on earth, in Heaven, or beyond the earth, can stop TIME from making it happen.

Our devotional text said

“These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season. What you give them they gather in; you open your hand, they are filled with good.”

Whenever a faithful man or woman enters his or her season of reward in the spirit realm, things will start lining up in the natural for him or her. They will begin to gather whatever God may have given them that they could not access before.

That is why the Bible says we should not be weary in well doing, that we shall be rewarded if we faint not.

Yes, we will see our season forcing things to open treasures to us, releasing things that eyes have not seen, ears heard or hearts conceived. We will find the season pulling men and substance to us even from unexpected ends.

The season will make people tolerate our shortcomings and celebrate our strength. I saw that in the life of Solomon. Friend, divinely determined seasons are very powerful. They are more powerful than all our enemies put together.

For instance, it was the season for Goliath’s demise that gave David victory over him.

David sensed it and seized it – he sensed that it was time for the giant to go down, hence moving against him. The story teaches that when we attack our enemies in seasons that they are divinely determined to go down, they will fall like dead men even before you talk to God about them.

May God bring you to your set time and season!

The Bible says

“of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command;” (1 Chronicles 12:32 NKJV).

If you want things to be at your command, understand the divinely determined times and season for doing them, before you move to do them. God’s kingdom citizens fail in life for not knowing this secret.

DAVID COMES TO MIND AGAIN AT THIS POINT.

The Bible made it clear that he was one warrior who fought terrible wars without a scar. He operated so many secrets to achieve that, including the secret of moving against enemy forces in the times and seasons set for the defeat of those forces.

He fought humans who moved like demons. He killed a giant that was not human but one of the last Nephilim on earth.

He took over the stronghold of Zion from the Jebusites who were near impossible to be destroyed. History has it that no nation had been able to vanquish them, but David did. He was always found in the forefront of the hottest battles yet there was no one record of defeat. He knew when to move against the enemy and when not to move.

In a battle against the Philistines, God told him, “Wait until you hear movements on top of the mulberry trees.” He waited and moved when prompted and got the victory.

There is so much to learn from this story. But one of it stands out.

Any enemy you move against when God has not moved against him will destroy you. That is the lesson. You will be fighting the force outside its divinely determined season of defeat and get defeated yourself.

That is one rule of engagement in spiritual warfare.

Those who enjoy victories in spiritual warfare, will tell you spiritual warfare is going to pick the spoils of war, after God has finished the battle. It is people who do not understand this concept that go head long against the enemy and return with injuries.

Sadly, they sometimes foolishly boast about the injuries saying they had them because the enemy was defeated; using twisted scriptures to buy the dummy from the evil one.

Jesus said we shall tread upon serpents and scorpions and upon all the works of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us. If they are hurting us, it is not God’s will. Boasting about what you suffered for going on a spiritual warfare trip is therefore an act of foolishness.

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY;

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones;

A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to gain, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to tear and a time to sew;

A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 NKJV
