TODAY’S DEVOTION (Thursday 20TH August 2020)
“The Lord gave the word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it:” Psalm 68:11 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 231st DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
Today we will continue with the flow that started yesterday on not being alone in life. There is another dimension that will be gleaned from the word of truth today, a perfect build up to what we gleaned from the word yesterday.
I guess by now, you may have understood that God use men to reach men; He use men to visit men. The gift of men to men is one of the major aspects of divine wisdom on display.
Here is a secret you should not forget. God created us to “depend” on Him totally for success but to “need” men to succeed. That is why the self-made syndrome is a deceit. No one can be self-made. At one point or the other, another man will be involved in your quest for success in any area of life.
Divine visions cannot be fulfilled until they are surrounded by great men and women who love the LORD. That is part of the wisdom of God. Until divine purposes are surrounded by men brought by the divine hand of God, they will either remain unfulfilled or be terminated all together.
I have come to discover that without Heavenly visions people perish, and without Heavenly people around,Heavenly visions, they will perish.
Heavenly Visions and all divine purposes need Heavenly men for them to be executed and completed. Our devotional text said “The Lord gave the word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it:”
Most of what the LORD will put in your heart to do, as His child will need a company of people from Him to performed. The work of the LORD is too huge for one man to take from start to finish. He may provide leadership but without a corresponding followership, things will be difficult.
Not everyone of us are called to be men with the vision or leadership for others to follow. Some are called to provide vision and leadership, while others are called to receive from them and execute. You must identify your place and stand at your post to be a significant person in God’s plans.
THAT IS ONE SECRET OF THE JOURNEY!
At conception, a vision may need just a man, but for its manifestation to take place, it will need people.
Whenever God seek for a man, it is to impregnate his spirit with His plans and purposes. But whenever He wants to move those plans and purposes from the declaration to the manifestation, He will seek and speak to men to join the man He may have impregnated with a vision with a commitment to bring it to pass.
Know your place in God’s end time plan. Majority are called to provide followership, but they are trying to provide leadership, that’s why their lives lack the favour of the LORD.
It takes one Heavenly minded man to bring a vision from Heaven to the earth, and GOD given men to move it forward and make it prosper on earth. So, if your life is without needed men, your efforts will not be crowned with success.
Again, our devotional said,
“the LORD gave the word, and great was the company of those who proclaim it”.
He who gave the word also gave those He gave the word the people they needed to proclaim it. That is how our GOD works. You must understand this Heavenly way of doing things and tailor your life to it.
It is not good for you to be alone after receiving a Heavenly vision from GOD to be birth on earth. This is applicable to all aspects of life.
For example, if the LORD gives you a marriage, He will surround you with people who care for you and yours to help in making it a blessing on earth. If the LORD gives you a business Idea, He will also give you the people you need to actualize the Idea, moving things from your mind to the ground.
If the LORD gives you a Child, you will not raise him or her alone. He will also give you people who will make the provisions and love available to raise him or her up and make him or her what the LORD wants him or her to be.
If the LORD gives you salvation, He will also give you a pastor to help disciple and raise you up in His fear. If the LORD gives you a calling or ministry, He will also give you an apostolic father or spiritual family to help you bring it forth successfully.
IF THE LORD GIVES YOU A PROJECT TO EXECUTE, HE WILL ALSO GIVE YOU THE MEN THAT YOU NEED TO EXECUTE IT.
If the LORD gives you a life to live, He will also give you people to help you enjoy it. Sometimes it is not those you expect that will be given to you, but those you do not expect. People you may have never seen before in your life. They may come from nations, traditions, or tribes outside yours.
Sadly, we sometimes allow foolishness to hinder us from enjoying this kind of divine favor by putting up a bad attitude towards them.
The Bible says in Proverbs 17:16
“Why is there in the hand of a fool the purchase price of wisdom, since he has no heart for it?” (NKJV).
Have a heart for this wisdom being shared today and begin to work on your attitudes towards people you may have never met, men and women from other nations or tribes other than yours. You may never know what GOD will use that to do in your life.
Yes, have a heart for this devotional, spend time to meditate on the wisdom content in it. There are people you need to unleash your destiny. You must open the doors of your attitude to them so they can come in to fulfill their ministry in your life.
On the flip side of the coin, there are people you do not need, and will never need at all. Yes, there exist. Sadly, they come with an appearance of needed men. Yes, I have found some full of that aura that tells you, “this is GOD sent.” He or she came to help you carry the burdens of the LORD! Only for you to open the package, by the power of time to discover you had been with a viper.
Sadly, sometimes we stick to those we do not need and give no friendship to those we need. That was what Samson did. He never knew Delilah was not part of his destiny. There was no pastor or prophet to uncover her mission and save him from what she was about bringing into his life.
SHE WOULD LATER SUCCEED IN HER PLANS AGAINST THE WARRIOR OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
I want to remind us again that relationships are doors to something good or evil. It does not depend on the gifts they may be giving you, neither does it depend on what the person says he or she is, nor does it depends on their sweet tongues, it all depends on what the person worships or is in covenant with. But most times we are carried.
Our lives would have been better if we had received men our destinies needed and pushed away those it never needed. Most crises in our lives are products of living with men or women our divine destinies never needed.
I remember sharing these thoughts sometimes back, that there are people living with men they call husbands that their divine destiny does not need. There are those living with women they call wives that their divine destiny does not need.
You see, if human error or Satan binds you together with a man or woman you do not need, especially in marriage, your prophetic destiny will begin to scream at you. When prophetic destiny screams at a Child of God, confusion will set into his life. Darkness will become closer than light.
God will withdraw His favor and stamps of approval from whatever he may be doing. Things will just be bleak! There will be no light at the end of any tunnel because the spiritual tunnel you will find your self will have no end.
God’s stamps of approval are the manifestations of the miracles, signs and wonders we need to unleash His plans and purposes for our lives. But when we bind ourselves together with the wrong people, these manifestations will cease gradually, leading to a life of sadness, darkness, and gloom.
GORY THINGS WILL JUST BE HAPPENING REPLACING ANY GLORIOUS THINGS GOD MAY HAVE DONE OR SHOWN THAT HE WILL DO IN OUR LIVES.
Child of God, time to take a stop and check through your relationships. Take time to ask the LORD to push away who you do not need out of your life and bring in those you truly need.
The Bible says in Proverbs 17:17
“a friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity” (NKJV).
The elimination of adversity and the release of peace is what God uses to show us that whoever we may have in our lives is from Him. In other words, as soon as the person comes into our lives, adversity will start dying. Our lives will be filled with peace over time; both internally and externally.
The release of peace is what God uses to announce to us that we are on course with HIM. In other words, we are in His will for our lives.
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURAL PASSAGE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY;
“A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.”
“A fool has no delight in understanding, but in expressing his own heart.”
“When the wicked comes, contempt comes also; and with dishonor comes reproach.” Proverbs 18:1-3 NKJV
“A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, and contentions are like the bars of a castle.” Proverbs 18:19 NKJV
“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:” Hebrews 12:14 NKJV
