TODAY’S DEVOTION (Tuesday 25th March 2025)
Then some of the sons of Benjamin and Judah came to David at the stronghold.
And David went out to meet them, and answered and said to them,
“If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if to betray me to my enemies, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers look and bring judgment.”
Then the Spirit came upon Amasai, chief of the captains, and he said: “We are yours, O David; we are on your side, O son of Jesse! Peace, peace to you, and peace to your helpers! For your God helps you.” So David received them, and made them captains of the troop. 1 Chronicles 12:16-18 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 84TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
We sleep and wake up because the LORD watches over us. The Bible says, “the Keeper of Israel, does not sleep or slumber.”
Can you imagine if God sleeps like we do, there would have been no us. The devil would have killed all of us before He wakes up from sleep. In the same way, if our guardian angels sleep like we do, there would been no us. Before the angels wake up, the enemy would have killed all of us.
But our guardian angels or our God does not sleep nor slumber because they do not have a body that would have made them sleep like we do. We sleep because our bodies need sleep to function well. If we step back into eternity, where we would be putting up a spiritual body, the days of sleeping would be over.
I hope you have been enlightened. Our faith needs spiritual truths like these to grow and function well. Sadly, many in our Church generation hate spiritual truths; truths that fill our hearts with the Holy Spirit, and liberate the soul from deception, sin, iniquity and trespasses, the satanic or demonic.
Spiritual truths are the building blocks of our faith, they are what gives us understanding in our walk and talk with the LORD.
They make us see that God is not a good will charm that we put all over our bodies using pieces of clothes called mantles, bottles of oil or water, and other religious gadgets. They show us dangerous practices we should not engage in while seeking deliverance.
Spiritual truths help us see that God is our dwelling place in the Spirit, and we are the temple of His Holy Spirit and do not need those things. We just need His active presence in our lives.
For me, spiritual truths are priceless.
THEY PROMOTE APOSTOLIC LETHALITY AND TAKES DOWN THE WORKS OF SIN, SATAN AND THE CORRUPT WORLD IN SECONDS.
They impart the grace to overcome sin and live right before God. They give you a discerning heart and the power to deliver yourself from evil, not just by prayer but by just maintaining a clean walk with the LORD. They shape your Christian life and make you Christlike.
Sadly, carnal Christians hate spiritual truths and vilify those who preach them. They accept the devil’s ways of freedom as divine and never touch the true presence of God. They are the ones listening to messages of carnal apostles and prophets who preach heresies, a mixture of truth and lies.
Their hate for spiritual truths is the reason they call us so many hurtful names, misquote what we say, antagonize us before people and make them hate us for nothing; you find people you have never met hating you so passionately. It’s sad how they make people hell worthy, by filling their hearts with hate, through the things they say to them about us.
But the spiritually minded find life in the spiritual truths we teach, preach and demonstrate, and use them to improve their walk and talk with the LORD.
Spiritual truths are stronger in bringing the devil down than prayer caravans. Satan will even bankroll prayer caravans but vilify bearers of spiritual truths. That is why you find politicians and big money men and women sponsoring such prayer movements but distasting word movements.
Word movements that promote spiritual truths, especially truths that expose deception and heresies, are scarcely supported by Christian millionaires.
Even in the early Church, you find people selling their lands and bringing the money to the apostles’ feet in the Jerusalem church that was not as word-based as the Church in Antioch. But none did that in the Antioch Church, a church that was full of spiritual truths that made people call those who walk in them Christians.
Sometimes, I wonder, if people who were in the Antioch church were called Christians, what name do we call those that were in the Jerusalem Church. They were just known as the people of the Way.
YOU WILL NEVER TAKE ON THE FULL IMAGE OF CHRIST IF YOU ARE NOT EXPOSED TO SPIRITUAL TRUTHS.
The Church in Jerusalem had the resemblance of Christ in power, but the one in Antioch raised men who had the full image of Christ, the very essence of redemption, and that happened because they were exposed to spiritual truths.
Spiritual truths are shakers of the gates of hell.
Satan would rather have preachers who teach things for carnal minds to appreciate than for spiritual minds to build their faith on. He will raise preachers who will tell you, “By this time tomorrow you will have your car, your wife, your job etc.,” things that the carnal go for.
There are so many preachings, preachers and church meeting for carnal Christians than for the spiritually minded.
One major spiritual truth I want to share with you briefly is the spiritual truth on “Divine Moments.” God does not take time to do miracles or unleash breakthroughs upon us, God take moments to do miracles and unleash breakthrough upon us. If you do not discern the moments, you will never get a breakthrough from the LORD.
We must be sensitive to the DIVINE MOMENTS of God that moves within us and respond to them adequately over time to see our lives moving progressively in the right direction.
For instance, stagnancy and backwardness are not the will of God for any man.
But I have come to realize that stagnancy in life and all forms of backwardness has always been because people fail to discern and respond to the men and created circumstances that God send their ways to facilitate their transition and the internal spiritual signals of their transition to the next level.
IF YOU DO NOT SENSE SUCH MEN, SPIRITUAL SIGNALS OR CIRCUMSTANCES AND EMBRACE THEM, YOU WILL REMAIN BACKWARD AND STAGNANT IN LIFE.
Moses had to sense the strategic circumstances God created for his transition and respond to it properly and right on time. He had to sense that it was time to run for his life when he found out that what he did to the Egyptian was not really hidden despite hiding it in the sand.
The circumstances demanded that he ran, and that was what he did. The result was divine alignment with God’s plans and purposes for his life. His life teaches that sometimes you need to run out of one place to another in order to step into God’s plan for your life.
For David he had to sense the strategic men God brought his way when it was time to move from being the head of a band of men in the wilderness to becoming king over Israel. He had to sense these strategic men, instead of suspecting that being the brothers of Saul they had come to betray him to his enemy.
Sometimes suspicion is destructive because it is the flesh’s way of walking in discernment. David had to walk in the Spirit not in the flesh to step into the moment of God for his life. Our devotional text said.

You will need strategic circumstances and strategic men to move or transit to God’s next level for your life. If you are tired of an existing level, ask the LORD for the internal signs to move on. Seek His face for strategic men to be sent your way and the sensitivity to know them when they come. That is the only price to pay for a start.
