TODAY’S DEVOTION (Monday 31st March 2025)
“Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son. For they will turn your sons away from following Me, to serve other gods; so the anger of the Lord will be aroused against you and destroy you suddenly.”
“But thus you shall deal with them: you shall destroy their altars, and break down their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images, and burn their carved images with fire.”
“For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. Deuteronomy 7:3-6 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 91ST DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
The first time I read the scripture of our devotional text for today I thought, “wait a minute?” Is God segregating? I thought He was too tough on a heathen nation. It seems to be anti-grace following what the grace of God has been presented to be.
Indeed, many consider it anti-grace to separate oneself from people who defile themselves with unclean spirits. They consider it as anti-grace if you decide not to yoke together with unbelievers like Paul said. That is why there are more believers who need deliverance today than there were in those days.
I would later grow up to find out that our God who is full of Love do not love everything we do with our lives, hence He separates those who have defiled themselves with sin and the satanic, from those who have not.
When He make up His mind to set any people apart for Himself and conceived a redemptive plan to use them to execute, He will not want the people messing around with anyone who is having any kind of affinity with the satanic or the sinful.
He will not want them to get hooked up to wrong Relationships.
Consecrated people do not hook themselves up with desecrated people else they lose their consecration. That is why salvation is all about being set apart from others for GOD. It is all about being consecrated unto the LORD and staying away from the desecrated so that you will not lose your consecration.
The grace preachers of today will call that “Holier than thou syndrome.” No, it is not holier than thou but a separation unto the LORD.
Most people in our generation no longer understand the ways of the GOD they claim they belong to. They no longer understand that God still set people apart for Himself, and that if He has set you apart, there are people you will need to separate from.
OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT THIS MORNING PAINTS A VIVID PICTURE OF THAT SO LONG AS MARRIAGES ARE CONCERNED.
It can also be applied to every other aspect of life. First, the scripture speaks of this aspect of Holiness that our generation of believers seem not be aware of – the aspect of separation.
It tells us how God set a standard for His people Israel as a template of what He will do with anyone who decide to become His holy seed on the face of the earth. Before the cross, He always made sure the Holy Seed do not mix with the people of the land.
After the cross He is still doing that. This is not Judaism or any form of religion. It’s a fruit of true worship and relationship with God. Sometimes we misunderstand what born again is. We forget that it is not a child of a sinner’s prayer, but a child of a sinner’s repentance.
I believe Heaven is sick and tired of sinner’s prayers. Now, God is looking for sinner’s repentance. Born again is a child of genuine repentance – a product of an encounter that makes one God’s Holy Seed on the face of the earth. The standard for the Holy Seed is to be separate from any seed that is not holy.
To be separate in all things, maintaining contact where necessary but without contamination.
It may interest you to know that this standard for the Holy Seed was passed on from generation to generation until it got to the early Church. That is why you see our version of Christianity and grace very different from theirs. Their version of grace warned them not to be joined with people who have become temples of idols. Our version does not.
It is clear to me that the greatest preacher of grace today is the devil Himself.
That is why the grace message of our days is not freeing most people from sin. It is rather freeing them to sin. If you read the books of the New Testament, you will realize that the early Church maintained this separation aspect of God’s holiness strictly.
EVEN MARRYING ONLY AMONG THEMSELVES.
You will not see the seed of God joining himself or herself to a seed of Satan in any way like it has become today, especially through marriage.
In their days, there were no mixed marriages where a born-again Christian would leave the Community of God’s sanctified ones, to marry one who have been contaminated by the unclean. The only mixed marriage was marriages between the people who joined the Church after they got married in the world, leaving their partners behind in the world.
The gospel they heard was true and balanced, that is why you will never find believers of their day waking up to join themselves with unbelievers, calling it marriage like we do today. It never happened. There was no one case to my knowledge. That was why there was no marital crisis or divorce case among them.
Like I stated earlier, the perverted gospel of grace has sadly deleted this standard and aspect of holiness in our Church generation, giving birth to terrible things in the lives of God’s people.
Anyone who now joins the Church after reciting the sinner’s prayer with or without encounter with God is considered saved. Making it possible for seeds of Satan to camouflage among us and do the bidding of the devil among us unhindered through alliances and unions we consider valid.
Many no longer know that when we become genuinely born again by encounter with God, we are automatically transformed into a Holy People. The transformation implies that we live our lives separate from anyone, people, alliance or unions that are not truly united with God.
AGAIN, IT CALLS FOR CONTACT (WITH THEM) WITHOUT CONTAMINATION. YES, IT CALLS FOR INTERFACE WITHOUT INTERCOURSE.
Sadly, the reverse is the case today. Everyone is considered born again. With so many ignorant and arrogant people calling the wicked “weak” and opening their lives up to them. Thereby, unleashing hell upon themselves and blaming it on some other things.
There will always be spiritual casualties where the principle of separation is not respected.
Their ignorance did not let them see that there is a difference between a seed of the righteous and that of the wicked. We always fail to remember that it is not about spiritual maturity but about spiritual nature. You could be young in faith or even old, if you are a seed of Satan, you will need to be kept away from the seed of God.
The seeds of the wicked are sometimes considered as weeds planted among us. Don’t forget we are God’s vineyards. No good farmer nurture weeds. All good farmers nurture seeds and separate them from weeds.
In the days of the Bible, good stewards of the manifold grace of God like Paul put such members away from the Church and asked that they be treated like the unbelievers that they are. There were times when he even wrote that they hand them over to Satan so that they can learn how not to blaspheme.
That was an apostle of Grace speaking Sir.
Friend, no good steward of God’s grace nurture weeds. They treat the wicked who camouflage as “weak” brethren to plant themselves for the destruction of the move of God as such and never allowed any to take root. These are standards of separation that have been forgotten in our Church generation, hence bringing untold Satanic activities to church.
SADLY, COVENS OF WITCHES AND WIZARDS NOW EXIST IN THE CHURCH.
Thrones of Satan now sit enthroned in the worship of many assemblies of god’s as the throne of God. All these things are happening because we forgot and buried the standard of separation that sustained God’s power and glory in the early Church.
Jesus has never allowed the wheat and tares to permanently grow together. He always comes in with a sickle after a season to weed the tears away. I guess the Church has entered that season now. That is why you see carnal and demonic Christians not able to stay among those who are truly spiritual and divine.
You find them separating themselves into Churches that minister to their carnality and running after prophets. That is not natural but prophetic. God will never allow the devil’s seed to stay for too long with His own.
It’s a new day for you.
May God use these words to give you an inheritance among they that are sanctified! AMEN!
