THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Thursday 17thApril 2025)

Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding lift up her voice? She takes her stand on the top of the high hill, beside the way, where the paths meet.

She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entrance of the doors: “To you, O men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of men. Proverbs 8:1-4 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 107thDAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY

Blessed be the name of the LORD for making it possible for us to see today. This month has been for us a month of divine encounters for us at the Cry of the Spirit Ministries, especially on matters of our economic life.

You will never understand the depth of what we have found in the Holy Scriptures about money except you were part of the sessions. There are things that human words are too weak to convey. We are right in a place where our words cannot say what we are receiving from the LORD!!!

One of the mind blowing revelations that came is the revelation of the Holy Ghost Model of wealth creation that is ongoing. We have seen truths like principles of lack and poverty that must be broken and the rest. GOD has been very faithful speaking and spewing Himself upon us. It’s just been glorious!

Indeed, what the Bible said about knowledge being the only way out is so real. There is no problem anywhere, every man’s ignorance is his problem. People are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

The knowledge that God set aside for our glory is not what you get from any ivory tower or school. It is what comes from above. It gives one wisdom that is out of this world, that wisdom is called divine wisdom.

It is from above, that is why you will never find it at Harvard University or London School of Economics. You can only find it in the deeper places of the Spirit of God.

The vision of such knowledge is to help men because divine wisdom is God’s instrument for helping us manage our lives, the earth and the authority given to us by the LORD.

Again, it is not something you find on the surface of life. It is something you find in the Deeper places of the Spirit.

DEEP MUST CALL UNTO DEEP FOR THIS WISDOM TO BE FOUND.

Yes, deep must call unto deep because divine wisdom is a person. His name is Jesus Christ. He is revealed by the preaching of the gospel. The Bible made this clear when God stirred Apostle Paul to write these blessed words:

“For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:22-24 NKJV

He was the one who inspired Solomon to become the wisest person to have ever lived. He was indeed the power behind the exploits of his wisdom. He powered him to have wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.

No one will have those two and live an average life. He or she will be a person of significant exploits in God’s kingdom. Look at those words again; wisdom and exceeding great understanding and largeness of heart. May that be our portion!!

The Bible says:

Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men — than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations.

He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five. Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish.

And men of all nations, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom, came to hear the wisdom of Solomon. 1 Kings 4:30-34 NKJV

No mortal man would have ascended this level of wisdom if the immortal God had not manifested in His life as the wisdom and power of God. Jesus is the wisdom and the power of God.

Before He entered the womb of Mary as word, to be flesh and dwell physically among men, He was spiritually on the earth among men doing all the wonders that were written in the Old Testament, including powering Solomon to become the wisest man.

He said in Matthew Chapter 12 verse 42 that “…a greater than Solomon is here.”

Jesus is “greater than Solomon” not because of the proverbs He spoke, or books He wrote but because He was the one behind Solomon’s wisdom. If the wisdom of God Himself manifests in your life, you will become as wise as Solomon. So, if you are looking for divine wisdom, Jesus Christ is divine wisdom.

Now, there are steps we want to state at this point; steps to take in accessing and operating in the wisdom of God.

These steps are the steps to take in meeting the Wisdom of GOD Himself and allowing Him to manifest what He is, in and through you. The first is being born again! It is a step to take in accessing the wisdom of God because it brings you to Christ the wisdom of God and makes Him LORD of your life.

This step is followed by the next, which is Living a sinless life after salvation. We call that sanctification.

This is the step that separates one to Jesus, who is the wisdom and power of God. Receiving the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, making your Bible your friend, and exposing yourself to sound doctrine, are the next steps that will take you further.

The truth remains, if you need skills, go to school. If you need Education, go to school. But if you need divine wisdom, Come to Jesus Christ the wisdom and power of God. The wisdom of God is higher than Education. Education brings information, but the wisdom of God brings revelation.

When the Bible say “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” it is not a reference to the knowledge we get from secular educational but the knowledge of the Holy One. In simple terms, the revelation knowledge of God and the wisdom it brings!

THAT REVELATION KNOWLEDGE IS ALSO WHAT THE BIBLE CALLS “PROPHETIC REVELATION” OR “VISION.”

In proverbs 29:18, the Bible says, “Where there is no vision or prophetic revelation people perish.” That is why wherever Jesus reigns as the wisdom of God in people’s lives, things that make them perish in any aspect of life, will be eliminated. Our devotional text today says,

“Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding lift up her voice? She takes her stand on the top of the high hill, beside the way, where the paths meet.

She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entrance of the doors: “To you, O men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of men.”

Jesus the wisdom of God has been crying through the pages of the scriptures, the preaching of the gospel, and through His Holy Spirit living in the Hearts of saved and sanctified men for generations, saying “To you, O men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of men.”

Friend, even though our devotionals he has been crying. Through our billboards on the streets, He has been crying. Will you heed His cry? Will you put what He has been saying to work in your life?

Will you make the truths buried in His word your choices principles to live by? He said in His words:

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

“But everyone who hears these sayings of mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” Matthew 7:24-27 NKJV

As we bring the devotionals to a close, and as we prepare to embrace a new day, my prayer for you is that you be the wise man who built his house (life) on the rock!

The rain of life problems comes every day, the floods and the winds of life challenges come even when we do not expect, but if our lives are on the rock of submission and obedience to God’s word, none of us will not fall. May this day bring the best of God your way! AMEN and amen!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!!

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who Walk in the law of the Lord!

Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways.

You have commanded us to keep Your precepts diligently. Psalm 119:1-4 NKJV
