TODAY’S DEVOTION (Monday 28th April 2025)
Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.
Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:2-3 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 118TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
Today we will be refreshing our minds on what the Bible teaches about spiritual portals.
A “spiritual portal” is an entry point between the visible and the invisible world. It is a gate of either hell or Heaven. When you read Jesus saying, “The gates of hell shall not prevail” He was referring to portals of hell.
There are portals of hell and there are portals of Heaven. Portals of hell open downwards, but portals of Heaven open upwards.
Everyone who has ever died and gone to hell but granted mercy to return has said his or her spirit descended downwards through a tunnel (or portal).
And everyone who has ever died and gone to Heaven but sent back to earth to complete one assignment or the other has always said his or her spirit ascended into Heaven through a glorious portal.
In Genesis Chapter 28:11-22 you find Jacob stumbling into a Heavenly portal while alive. We can step into either portal of hell or Heaven while alive.
For instance, it was a Heavenly portal that both Enoch and Elijah used in going to Heaven alive. And it was a portal of hell that opened over Sodom and Gomorrah, hence the perversion and subsequent destruction.
The portal that Jacob stumbled into when he was running away from his brother Esau was first discovered by his grandfather Abraham, in Genesis Chapter 12.
THE BIBLE SAYS GOD USED “DREAM LANGUAGE” TO REVEAL THE PRESENCE OF THE PORTAL IN THAT PLACE TO HIM.
And he woke up and said:
.. “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!” Genesis 28:16-17 NKJV
If portals of heaven do not open over destiny people, there is no way they will be able to fulfill their destiny. Jacob’s encounter shows us that our lives must be consumed by Heavenly portals for portals of hell not to consume us.
It’s my prayer that we seek the LORD until we stumble into portals of Heaven in the Spirit and have them open in your bedrooms.
Like Jacob, you will wake up one morning to cry out, “so the LORD is in my bedroom, and I know not.” That will be your testimony in Jesus precious name.
Today the LORD has given us another day to begin a journey of grace and truth. It is a journey of schooling in the things of God. I have said this over and over again that if we are not “schooled” in the things of God, we will be “skewed” by the things of men and devils.
It is important that we take responsibility for our spiritual lives and no longer blame people or things for anything that may be wrong with us. Yes, it is important that we forget those things that are behind and sit at the feet of Jesus to learn His ways and walk in His paths.
Only then can we find REST for our souls. We live in a “blame game” generation! That must be stopped.
I have seen so much in my years of ministry. A woman will get married to a good man but for lack of character and godly conduct she will lose the man.
Then when she goes to meet a prophet or prophetess for help, the so-called man or woman of God will blame it on her father’s house, some voices crying against her from the village or some gods or men out there.
THE SAME CAN BE SEEN IN THE LIVES OF MEN WHO CANNOT KEEP THEIR MARRIAGES.
We blame men, our parents or evil spirits for what our Godless, carnal and wicked decisions bring upon us. It becomes complicated if either of our parents suffered the same fate.
We won’t see the lack of godly conduct or proper relationship with GOD and wickedness in the hearts of the family under attack as the reason. We will blame it on other things.
For instance, any husband or wife your carnal desires or anything outside the voice of the LORD gives you will eventually leave. Where he or she did not leave there will be unquenchable Crisis in the marriage. You can take that to the bank, like one of my friends will put it.
Absence of divine will and ways in the lives of men is the only reason for unquenchable fires in the lives of men. It is not the presence of curses, evil foundations or whatever.
Like I said, if you are not schooled in the things of God, you will be skewed by con men and women in God’s garment using the things of devils. Even if an evil foundation is responsible for a case, once you do things in the will and ways of God, you switch foundations in the spirit realm.
You become established in the foundation of the LORD, resulting in total and complete freedom.
I was freed from all forms of household wickedness and what we call “evil altars and foundations” not by breaking the altars or curses, praying against or sowing seed to destroy them, but by having the foundation of the LORD laid in my life. The foundation of the LORD is like a stone that crushes every other foundation.
It is more powerful than any prophet or deliverance prayer. It is the missing “deliverance agent” in the lives of everyone under spiritual attack. The Bible says;
“And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” Matthew 21:44 NKJV
WHOEVER IS WHOEVER; IT COVERS PEOPLE AND THE SPIRITS BEHIND THEM.
It covers the gods of your house and all forms of household enemies. It covers ancestral curses and the voices they claim cry against people from their villages. It covers what they call evil foundation.
Jesus said “whoever.” It will be stupid to believe a preacher over Jesus Christ and what He has already said in His word.
This stone that breaks every other foundation or kingdom is the foundations to have in your life as a Christian to be free from all things that make people take prophets, intercessors or prophetesses to their villages to do the unthinkable.
What am I trying to say this morning? I know there are devils and curses. The Bible said so.
But looking externally for what is caused by an internal filth has not helped anybody apart from the prophets, intercessors, prophetesses and pastors who make money out of it. That is why many who joined their ministries full are leaving empty.
Those who went empty of trouble are leaving full of wars and crisis. And they make matters worse by threatening others not to let them curse them.
Friend, you will increase your predicament looking externally while what is killing you is internal. You will be going from church to church looking for the acts of GOD without finding a solution to your problems.
A generation that pursues the acts of God at the expense of the Scriptural revelation of His ways stands the risk of losing so much to falsehood and deception!
As we bring this devotional to a close, I want you to understand that there are two Churches in the “one Church” that make up the body of Christ on the face of the earth today.
IT’S LIKE THE TWO CHILDREN IN THE WOMB OF REBECCA.
We have the “harlot Church” of the book of Isaiah 4:1 and the “true Church.” The harlot Church seeks for the “manifestation” of the acts of God alone, but the true Church seeks for the “revelation” of His ways, because you can never have His way without seeing His acts!
As a result, there will be a people who will be gathering for the revelation of God’s way and those who will be gathering for His acts these end time.
Those who will always be assembling for His acts will always be conned by con men and women in God’s garment but those who will always be assembling for His ways will be seeing His glory each time they appear in Zion.
Our devotional text this morning speaks of the rise of a unique breed that will rise out of the true Church in the end time. This breed will be more interested in learning the ways and paths of the LORD than pursuing His acts.
A major highlight says,
“Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”
It’s my prayer this morning that you spend the rest of your days saying: “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths” in Jesus precious name!
Don’t forget the only place we can find peace in trouble world is on His paths. His paths are the only paths on earth that has His footsteps in the Spirit, and that is where true restoration takes place!

“I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land.
Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase.
Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway.” Psalms 85:8-13 NKJV
