TODAY’S DEVOTION (Wednesday 7th May 2025)
“Therefore my people have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge; their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
Therefore Sheol has enlarged itself and opened its mouth beyond measure; their glory and their multitude and their pomp, and he who is jubilant, shall descend into it.” Isaiah 5:13-14 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 127th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
God be glorified for giving us another day. His faithfulness has been the facilitator of our survival, and His mercies our everlasting shelter. He is the everlasting Father to us all. To Him belong the glory.
God established the spiritual father system in His kingdom for continuity and propagation of eternal things, from one generation to another. Though the system has been abused and is now being used for many things God never ordained it for, it is still His way of taking His Grace and Truth from generation to generation.
One of the assignments of spiritual fathers is to repeat a truth they heard in their days in the ears of their spiritual sons so that hell will not enlarge itself and swallow their sons.
Sadly, we do not have fathers doing that today. Partly because some of those we called fathers, did not hear any present truth when they were growing up in faith, hence they have nothing but teachings on financial prosperity, evil altars, evil foundations, curses and all kinds of talk on demons to tell their Children.
You cannot hear righteous truths on who God is from most of those seen as fathers. God ordained that generational righteous truths or progressive revelation of who God is be transferred from one generation to another by fathers.
He ordained that what He revealed to one generation, the sound doctrines on His kingdom, power and glory, be repeated in the ears of the next generation.
The greatest attack of the enemy on our faith is to truncate the repetition of the doctrines that the early church was founded upon.
You see the attack in the rise of false prophets and heretic teachers bringing all kinds of false doctrine in Church today, to truncate the repetition of the sound doctrines our Bible fathers established in our age and time.
FALSEHOOD WILL ALWAYS MAKE ITS VICTIM HAVE A THAT-IS-ALL-THERE-IS-IN-GOD FEELING UNDER THEIR MINISTRIES.
The essence is to make people treat the sound doctrines they have never heard as teachings from cults groups when they are told of them. It is to make the people treat Elijah who brings the true prophetic warning finger, or the Paul who bring the doctrine of Christ as the troublers of Israel.
Child of God, there is need for God’s mighty men to rise in our generation and stop this nonsense. The Elijahs must be heard again on Mount Carmel and the voices of the Pauls must roar again on the streets of the church and nations.
Those appointed by the LORD in our age must rise to fight the battles of truth and error this end time, they must rise to repeat the present truths that our Bible Fathers taught, so that the faith that was once and for all delivered to the saints can be restored in our generation.
The Bible says we should contend for the faith that was once delivered to our fathers. The words of faith they heard must be repeated to the ears of men and women of our generation; by so doing we will wake up the mighty men of our generation.
The Bible says
Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near, Let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.'”
Assemble and come, all you nations, and gather together all around. Cause your mighty ones to go down there, O Lord. Joel 3:9-11 NKJV
If this scripture will become true in our generation, the truths that the mighty men of generation past heard, must be repeated in our generation.
The sound doctrines that created the faith that the early church had, the faith that made them to shift hell in their days and prevent it from enlarging itself over the souls of the men and women who lived in their times and season, must fill our hearts.
Friend, we are living in very critical times. If there is anything to keep watching for in your life now as a Christian, it is not the date you will get married or a job. It is the date of the rapture or catching away of the saints.
DO NOT LET ANYONE CONFUSE YOU! WE ARE IN THE SEASON OF THE RAPTURE. THE CHURCH IS BEING PREPARED FOR THE NEXT LIFE!!
If your Oil is not sufficient, go to those who sale (the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost) to buy. Be one of the wise and not one of the foolish virgins! This is not the time to go into and live in the captivity of sin, iniquity or trespass.
This is not the time to entertain sinful habits and let them become part of your life. Yes, these are the wrong times to live in sin and allow anything that is not from sound doctrine to live in your life. This is the time for the weak to say, “I am strong.”
People go into captivity because they do not have the intimate knowledge of God. There is the head knowledge of God and there is the intimate knowledge. God wants the present Church to go for the present truth so that everyone who calls upon the name of the LORD can have an intimate or experiential knowledge of God.
If we do not pursue the experiential or intimate knowledge of God, we will be in danger of the hell that is enlarging itself, leading us to the captivity of a life of the sin after salvation, raising pigs and dogs instead of end time righteous sons of God.
Our devotional text says,
“Therefore Sheol has enlarged itself and opened its mouth beyond measure; their glory and their multitude and their pomp, and he who is jubilant, shall descend into it.”
When hell enlarged itself towards a man’s soul and captures it, it may leave him in any form of religion that it found him but make sure he does not have a fruitful, living or Heaven bound relationship with Jesus Christ.
Sadly, many who claim to be saved do not have a Heaven bound relationship with the LORD. Most of us have a relationship with the LORD that has Him on their lips and not in our hearts. That is not a relationship that will take any of us to Heaven when we die.
THAT IS THE VISION OF HELL FOR BELIEVERS AT THIS END TIME.
Hell will prefer us having Christ on our lips than having Him in our hearts. It will prefer us having the Cross on our necks than in our hearts. It will take our attention away from spiritual content and shift it to religious titles. It is the spirit that makes men title crazy!
When hell enlarges itself towards a man’s soul, it will fill him with itself and make sure there is no room from the true God in his life. The ultimate vision of hell the spirit is to keep people out of true relationship with Jesus Christ and take them finally to hell the place when they die.
It is the father of all lying prophets and heretic teachers.
Instead of having the Holy Ghost in you, it will prefer you to have Oil in a bottle with you. And drink it all the time or have it poured on you. Hell, the spirit knows that with the Holy Ghost in you it will never have you but with the anointing Oil with you, it will always have you.
It will prefer men holding tight to the shadow than embracing the substance. This spirit is a counterfeit of the Holy Spirit.
It gives visions, prophecies, and tells some prophets what to do while ministering to people. It will tell them to ask the people to pray with water because it is afraid that if living water flows out of them it is in trouble. It will move prophetess and prophets to ask that people bring sand or take some prayer warriors to their village.
It is responsible for all errors and occult practices in the Church called God. Your deliverance from this spirit is not possible without experiencing the salvation of the spirit, soul and body. We can go on and on about this subtle and dangerous spirit, but this is just a devotional.
As we bring this to a close, understand that God wants you to start waging war personally against this spirit. And the only way you can do that is by submitting yourself to His Holy Spirit all the time so that Christ can be formed in you!
THERE ARE CHURCHES THAT THE SPIRIT OF HELL SITS AS KING OVER.
Wherever you see sexual perversion, especially among pastors and church workers, this spirit is in charge there. Wherever gays and lesbians lead in Choir this spirit is king there. Wherever sin is called “weakness,” rebuke is called “judgment,” and conviction called “condemnation” the spirit of hell has established its base there.
You will always grow from a child of God to a son of hell in any local Church that hell sits as king over. That is why I call such places crowds and not Church, because hell can never find a place to sit in a true Church that is connected to her head – Christ. Jesus said He will build His Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!
It’s my prayer that God use these words to improve your walk and talk with Him this month in Jesus precious name. AMEN!
