TODAY’S DEVOTION (Friday 23rd May 2025)
“Woe to him who builds a town with bloodshed, who establishes a city by iniquity! Behold, is it not of the Lord of hosts that the peoples labor to feed the fire, and nations weary themselves in vain?
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea! Habakkuk 2:12-14 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 143rd DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
We are still in the final hour of righteousness. I am feeling strongly that we are still at the Center of an invasion from Heaven that will silence God’s enemies and dispel the darkness in the Hearts of those Heaven has appointed for salvation at this time.
It will be a downpour of God’s glory set aside only for hearts that are exclusively hungry for more of God and nothing but Him. This glory is not for hearts that are looking for what looks like God, but hearts that are looking for the true God.
The reason for this is simple. If the glory comes on hearts that are not truly hungry for God, they will cave in, and disaster will break out in their lives like it happened to Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5. So, God in His mercy reserved the glory only for those who are truly hungry and thirsty for righteousness.
The Bible indeed said:
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:6-8 NKJV
This is part of what we call the beatitudes. The last in the verse tells us that those who are pure in Heart shall see God.
Truly, it takes purity of heart to see God in His glory. It is only for the pure in the heart because the encounter will be disastrous in the life of the impure in heart. For instance, when the Ark (a representative of the presence or glory of God) was taken to the land of the Philistines in the days of the Bible, it brought plagues on them. Here is a bit of what happened:
“Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. So it was, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, “They have brought the ark of the God of Israel to us, to kill us and our people!”
So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, “Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go back to its own place, so that it does not kill us and our people.” For there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.
And the men who did not die were stricken with the tumors, and the cry of the city went up to heaven.” 1 Samuel 5:10-12 NKJV
This story and other similar stories in the Bible, tells us why God will not let the impure in heart see Him in His glory! Seeing God in His glory will unlock destruction in the heart of the impure at heart. Hence God decided that only the pure at Heart will see Him.
FRIEND IT’S AN ACT OF MERCY FOR THE IMPURE AT HEART NOT TO SEE GOD; ESPECIALLY IN HIS GLORY.
The Philistines saw Him, and they died. There was an outcry in their lives. No impure heart will see Him and lead a peaceful life. And God is not willing that anyone should perish. So, He will release an anointing to the impure in heart to convict them of sin and purify their hearts.
Then make them pure enough to see Him, especially in His glory. We are in the days of the revelation or manifestation of the glory of the LORD like the water covers the seas. Major lines in our devotional text says
“…Behold, is it not of the Lord of hosts that the peoples labor to feed the fire, and nations weary themselves in vain? For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea”
If you look at this scripture carefully, you will clearly see that God want to reveal Himself in His glory in our days. There is a downpour in heaven set aside for our generation. That is why Heaven is purifying the hearts of those that are ready for the deeper places of the Spirit to be able to, not just see but experience Him in His glory!
Yes, God is separating them from wrong churches and Sorcerers called prophets and prophetess. He is delivering them from the deception of prophetic witchcraft called prophetic ministry and filling their hearts with truths to make them ready for His glory.
Obviously, it is not God will and has never been His will that mankind wearies themselves in the flames and fires of hell all around the world. Our lives will be filled with the knowledge, awareness and manifestation of His glory as the waters cover the sea. Get Ready!
Time to get our hearts ready to see God in dimensions our generation has never seen before.
THAT IS THE MESSAGE OF THE LAST LINE OF THE BEATITUDES WE ARE LOOKING INTO IN THIS DEVOTIONAL.
Now to the first line! I will leave the middle line that talks about mercy for another day. The line we want to talk about says: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” What do you think the people who are hungry and thirsty after righteousness will be filled with?
Righteousness? The answer is no! They already have righteousness, hence seeking God. Let me show you something that God showed me! He showed me that true righteousness (right standing with GOD) will make you seek God for more righteousness (more right standing with GOD), because the more we align with God the more we seek Him to maintain or grow in the alignment!
So, seeking God for righteousness (or more alignment with Him) will not fill you with righteousness. It will rather fill your life with God! Don’t forget. He is the Righteous One. In simple terms, those who are hungry and thirsty for righteousness will be filled with the glory of the Righteous one – they will be filled with God’s glory.
That is why GOD reserved the end time glory downpour for those who are thirsty and hungry for a right standing with Him this hour. He will not fill those who are not seeking it.
Here is what we can gather from today’s devotional; God want to fill our lives with His glory. It will happen in two ways. First, we will see Him in His glory and second, we will be filled with what we saw. The keys to these two blessings are “HAVING A PURE HEART” and “BEING HUNGRY AND THIRSTY FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS (or right standing with God)!
We can go on and on, but this is just devotional. It’s my prayer that GOD use what you have read to build you up and give you an inheritance among they that are sanctified! AMEN!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR TODAY
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.” Jeremiah 29:11-14 NKJV
