TODAY’S DEVOTION (Monday 16th June 2025)
“And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
“Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.”
“Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:35-38 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 167TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
We bless the LORD of Heaven and earth, creator of our lives, and keeper of our souls for waking us up this morning. It is out of His mercies that we are not consumed, for His compassion fails not.
Since we stepped into this year, He has been seeing us through and keeping His word for our lives. His grace has been running our lives and prophetic words lighting up our paths. His word has been a lamp to our feet, that is why we do not wonder in darkness.
Indeed, it has been a year of victory for us!!
Calling us out of darkness into His marvelous light is one reason we are grateful and should remain so forever. It made us part of the most important people on earth, part of the body of Christ. It made us a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, and chosen generation.
One responsibility we all have is the responsibility of declaring His works and making Him known among the nations. It is the responsibility of all who belong to His church on earth; the responsibility of this eternal people carved out of the side of Jesus when He died on the cross, the way Eve was carved out of Adam.
As God’s own special people, we are not empty people. As God’s own special people, we are a people who know that we are called out of darkness into God’s marvelous light, to show forth His praise or the declaration of His works in our lives within the territory of our influence.
That is part of what the Bible teaches as the eternal purpose of the Church. It calls on us to live our days according to divine will; to sense our own part in the eternal purpose of the Church and fulfill it. If we do not do that, we will just be another bunch of religious people on the face of the earth.
IN GOD’S PLAN EACH CHURCH GENERATION HAS SOMETHING TO DO.
That is why each past church generation fulfilled their aspect of the eternal purpose of the church before leaving the earth. Today, they are no more because they have joined the cloud of many witnesses in heaven. One day we will also be no more. We will fulfill our days and join the cloud of many witnesses.
We must therefore understand that our Church generation has its own part of the eternal purpose of the Church to fulfill before joining the cloud of many witnesses, and because we live in a terminal generation, our part will be to contend for the faith that was once and for all delivered to the saints.
The next will be to be presented to the LORD, a glorious church, without spots or wrinkles, holy and without blemish. You will find all that in the book of Jude 1:1-4, and Ephesians 5:27. As an end time believer, your eyes must be on those two scriptures.
If your eyes are not on them, you are not on the same page with God, so long as His present moves are concern. Those are the scriptures that helps the end time believer in Christ to come to the realm of an apostolic faith that will make one uncomfortable with Church as we have it today.
When you come to that realm of faith, the prayer spirit will sit upon you and take you to the place of destiny as God’s Holy nation on the face of the earth, where you become part of the men and women of apostolicity who travail in prayers for the glorious Church to emerge, not church as we have it today.
You will become part of those with the apostolicity to convert the kingdoms of this world into that of God and of His Christ within the place of your territorial influence. You will never be comfortable with the need-based gospel that makes people selfish and self-centered instead of selfless and Christ centered.
Every prophetic person knows that time has come for the body of Christ to move from other matters to matters of our eternal purpose or divine destiny. So, let us go further with the Holy Spirit even this morning to see what more that GOD has for us.
DIVINE DESTINY IS LIKE A SEED. WHERE YOU PLANT YOURSELF IS WHAT DETERMINES IF YOU WILL FULFILL IT OR NOT.
I want us to begin by looking closely at the word FULFILL. It is a word that should be the driving force of the believer. The word fulfill denotes making things that have been pre-determined to manifest. In other words, bringing into complete execution, the things that GOD finished in the spirit realm before you were formed in your mother’s womb.
The word fulfill is a word that propels us to release or actualized our destiny.
It is important to note that our divine destinies contain things that have been pre-determined by God to take place in our lives on the face of the earth. Our job is to walk with God and get them fulfilled within the years or days the LORD has allocated for us to live on earth.
However, sometimes you find people not fulfilling their divine destinies because of where they plant themselves spiritually, other times naturally. Many do not realize that sometimes it is the place that hinders our prophecies, and that places determine what happens in a person’s life.
Every child of God must understand that when it comes to our divine destinies, the fulfilment does not depend on the seed only, it also depends on the places we plant ourselves spiritually or choose to live naturally. It depends on the capability of the places to either favor or kill the gestation or birth of our dream seeds.
For instance, it was pre-determined that a virgin will conceive without meeting a man to give birth to the messiah. It was a popular prophecy among the Jews. Mary became that virgin because of where she was physically and spiritually. If Mary had been an African or any other non-Jewish nation, she would not have qualified.
THAT IS WHAT I MEAN BY THE POWER OF THE RIGHT PLACE.
She was at the right place, in the right lineage and under the right spiritual standard and atmosphere. The righteousness she achieved by the covenant of God with Abraham buttress by the law of Moses, qualified her. No other nation then had the law of Moses hence no other virgin would have qualified.
When it comes to the release or FULFILMENT of our destinies, there is the factor of the power of the place.
The word FULFILL just happened in her life because the power of the place made it happen. She never needed to pray and fast to be that virgin. She was just in the right nation, the right spiritual place, doing the right things, and at the right time, the word came to pass in her life.
That is how the power of the right place helps us to fulfill our destinies.
You must understand that prophetic destiny is designed by God to be fulfilled on its own. It is designed to be made manifest or executed by God alone. It was not designed to be executed by the power of man. The only thing that hinders it most times is the power of the wrong place.
If we are where GOD’s rules cannot guide us, His Spirit cannot rest and live in us, and His true prophetic midwives are not there to help us, we will just be struggling. We will never be able to unleash our destinies. And as we try to force things, maybe to make our lives better, we will begin to do things that will end up harming us the most.
Friend, God did not design destiny to be fulfilled by the power of human force. He designed destiny to be fulfilled by the power of the appointed place. Divine destiny is not something you force out or train yourself to execute. It was not designed to be fulfilled that way.
If you are in the right place, with the right people, at the right time, doing the right things, you will find yourself fulfilling your destiny. It will just flow out of you.
Let me share my own little story. I was called into the ministry in my teenage years. I preached my first messages in life between my 15th and 17th years on earth. I would later be involved in a few but very aggressive rural crusade evangelistic trips for seven years as I pursued my academics side by side.
When it became clear to me that I will be in ministry full time, and that whatever I may be pursuing to read will not be needed, I stopped academic pursuit for a while and buried myself into ministry.
ALL THOSE YEARS I HAVE NEVER KNOWN OF MY APOSTOLIC CALLING; I WAS JUST EVANGELISTIC AND PASTORAL.
Then in 1998 I had a vision about Kenya. This was not a night Vision or dream of the night; this was a face-to-face encounter with the Spirit of the LORD in the presence of my prayer and evangelism team members.
The LORD had asked us to pray for world Evangelism, and we brought all nations before us and started blanketing them with prayers standing on Psalm 2. I began to understand prophetically as we prayed that a time would come that we will spread the true gospel to those nations.
At that time, we were poor wretched people that did not look like we were going to survive the next day.
None of us even then knew where to get a national passport from. Come to talk of where the embassies of those nations were in Abuja and Lagos. But that never deterred us, we believed the LORD that we were going to take the true gospel to those nations and kept on praying.
Then I asked the LORD which of these nations we will invade first with the gospel, and the LORD said to me KENYA. I never knew anything about Kenya, so I went to the net to check. What I found out killed that vision and fire to take the gospel around the world.
For 12 good years I forgot everything about the world mission. My team members would later scatter in different directions, with some of us backsliding from a life of holiness and consecration. It was a sad moment for the rest of us.
I alone would remain in the ministry, doing my best all around the nation and having a lot of success and failure all at the same time. During that time, I was kept on track by the GLORIOUS VISIONS I received from the LORD, of how my ministry will be in future.
HOWEVER, I THOUGHT ALL THAT WILL BE IN NIGERIA, WITHOUT REMEMBERING THE GLOBAL VISION OF 1998, AND THE KENYA WORD.
At this point, let me give you a definition that will help. Glorious VISIONS of what a man’s ministry will be LIKE in future are simply prophetic revelations of the manifestation of the holy seed he carries, which is bound to happen in his future. It is also a prophetic picture of a portion of his destiny that is set to be fulfilled at an appointed time in its appointed place.
Some of them can be true or untrue depending on the Spirit or spirit speaking to the person. Sadly, there are people with glorious visions that were true but never came to pass until they died. Some forced them to come to pass but they still did not come to pass.
I made a lot of efforts to get that visions I saw fulfilled in Nigeria, thinking that was the appointed place. We got a lot done but no part of what I saw came to pass. Many years later, the Kenya word resurfaced and today we are here fulfilling the glorious vision.
From the day we stepped on our feet in this nation, the fulfillment of visions of what we saw in 1998 began. I remember coming out of the airport and saying to myself, I have seen this place before in a vision. The suit I wore and everything that happened that night had been revealed to me before.
Other glorious visions that came during four of the 12 years period, concerning my ministry that I thought were for Nigeria are being fulfilled also. Friend matters of destiny are not designed to be forced to happened. They are designed to be allowed to happen.
You must find the appointed place of preparation and the appointed place of demonstration and plant yourself in them in your appointed times and seasons.
Until you locate them, and plant yourself there, nothing will be fulfilled. Depending on what the LORD wants to accomplish with your life, yours could be the nation of your birth, or even your village. Just know where you must be to let your destiny out.
AN APOSTLE TO THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH IS ALWAYS PREPARED IN ONE NATION, AND THEN TAKEN TO ANOTHER TO FULFILL HIS DESTINY.
That is what you see with the early apostles. That is what you will see in your life if God has called you to be an apostle to the nations of the earth. When you get to your appointed place, a major aspect of our devotional text will be fulfilled in your life and ministry. The portion says:
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
Yes, when you get to your appointed place of manifestation, there will be a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon his life and ministry to bring the word of the LORD to pass.
There are two things I want us to get as we close this lengthy devotional. The first is the mystery of the appointed place for preparation, and second the appointed place for manifestation. The appointed place for preparation is always a local Church headed by a spiritual father – a man who has already arrived at the place God is taking you too.
When you get there, you will begin to experience an outpouring of the Holy Spirit that you have never experienced before. You will begin to see moves of GOD that you have never seen before. That is the place of your incubation.
Faithfulness will be required for you to be incubated thoroughly and released timely. When you are thoroughly incubated, you will get to the place that Zerubbabel got to – the place of GRACE, GRACE. That is the place of swimming in the Holy Ghost – not walking but swimming. In the place of preparation, you walk, but in the place of manifestation you swim.
There is so much to write, but it would become a book and no longer a devotional. Let me stop here. I pray the Holy Ghost takes you further. Amen!!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION.
So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.
‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”‘” Zechariah 4:6-7 NKJV
