TODAY’S DEVOTION (Tuesday 24th June 2025)
“The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”
“Who knows the power of your anger? For as the fear of you, so is your wrath. So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalms 90:10-12 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 175TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
This is the day the LORD has made. We shall rejoice and be glad in it. Today is my 49th birthday. I give God the glory!! For me, it is not a day like any other. No!! Today is a special one; prepared before the foundation of the world.
I want all and sundry to rejoice with me because it’s been a journey. Friends, I have seen the Sun for 49 years and am grateful to the LORD for making it happen.
Those who may be worried about a preacher celebrating his birthday and calling on those within his space to join him in celebration, must understand celebrating a birthday is not a sin, what you do during the celebration is what makes it a sin or not.
My life on earth has been that of serving people spiritually. It started before I was even 15. I have been in the ministry all my adult life. It all began with believer’s ministry, then grew over the years into the apostolic teaching ministry the LORD is using to build lives today!!
I am what I am by the grace and mercy of the LORD. If you ask me to describe myself, I will say I am an unworthy servant that God has used over the years to do worthy things. I am an unholy vessel that God made holy and is using to make people holy.
Yes, I am a weak thing of this world that God is using to confront the mighty. I am one of the based, foolish and despised things of this world that God is using to fulfill prophecies. If His mercies were not eternal, I would have been dead long ago.
There are no words to describe the depth of His love, compassion, mercies, and kindness. Indeed, He has not dealt with me according to my sin, but according to His mercies. Apologies for talking about myself in today’s devotional.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT TRUE PREACHING FLOWS FROM THE FOUNTAIN OF A PREACHER’S WALK AND TALK WITH GOD.
The ministry of a true preacher is the manifestation of Jesus Christ in His life. Whatever happens in his life, is important to those GOD may have sent him to. So, rejoicing with me and sharing this devotional on same flow is within the boundaries of the divine will of God.
There are prophetic and eternal truths you can find in the stories of those God may have raised to build you for eternal life. I pray that you find relevant ones in my life and lead a faith life that will propel you towards the release of your divine destiny. Amen!!
A major highlight in our devotional text today says; “So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” This scripture is incredibly significant to me, especially today.
Our days are full of stories that if shared with a younger generation, could be of help in their quest to fulfill God’s will for their lives. So, if we number them accurately, we can come out with records and details of events that characterize the days we have seen on earth for the benefit of others.
To bring you into my birthday feel, permit me to share this story that I have shared repeatedly. You will find a fresh light in it.
49 years ago, a young mother just came back from the farm. She had gone to live with her auntie when she saw that her DD was approaching. By DD I mean Delivery Date. It was a Thursday morning in 1976. As eternity would have it, that young mother would become my mother that very day!!!
She had woken up with uncommon strength and went to the farm to fetch some firewood as early as 6am. By 9am she was back. She dropped the firewood where firewood was usually kept and within a short while she wanted to go to the local toilet.
For hygiene purposes, our local toilets are built far away from home, so it was like a journey. When you get there, you must climb over some wood constructed for use to relieve yourself. It was not the water system toilets we have today.
BUT AS SHE GOT THERE AND ATTEMPTED TO CLIMB OVER THE WOOD, HER LABOR PAINS STARTED.
She shared with me that she had to retreat away from the toilet and before she knew it, she was on the ground surrounded by bushes and a thick forest. Though where she sat was a busy path that leads to the village farms and hunting places, there was no one to help her.
However, she started pushing and I came out. And because she was at a place that was not ideal for childbirth, I fell on the bushes cutting a place close to my right eye. I began to bleed, and she panicked. Today I put on glasses, not because of that cut close to my right eye, but because of the rays of light that hurt the same right eye while in mission field of east Africa.
Did God allow that to happen that day to tell her that, “this little boy will be on the mission field in future, and his right eye will be hurt by a ray of light leading to him putting on glasses?” Maybe!!
But understand that there are always prophecies that point to what a child will become or what will happen in his or her life in the details of events that happen on the day of a child’s birth. If those prophecies can be unlocked, the child will be raised in the light of them.
Like in the life of any other child, there are significant details of things that happen on the day of my birth that hold some prophecies.
My mum said minutes after I was born, while she was still in that bush path, a hunter who was returning from hunting came to the scene and offered help. Finally, my auntie came running and mother and child were taken to where they received proper care.
God so did it that I was born in a village that had one of the best water falls in Nigeria; the Agbokim Waterfalls in Cross River State. You can google it. That is not my village, my mum only went there for a visit, and she did that when my delivery date was near.
THERE IS A PROPHETIC WORD IN THAT AS WELL.
Like I said, there are prophecies in some of these details, and their significance do throw me into deep thoughts in days like today. My mum also said I had so many childhood illnesses that would have taken my life away. That the situation was so dire that she lost hope in my survival.
Recently she shared with me that she had to carry me up and say to God, “I hand him over to you. Keep him alive and use him to do your work.” From these stories we can see that I have been fought by the enemy from day one, from the day of my birth.
First, he never wanted me to live, hence the cut around my eye. God allowed whatever he planned to do to result only in a little cut at my eye. Then the childhood diseases that almost claimed my life.
The enemy was waiting to devour the child as soon as it was born. The coming of the hunter was incredibly significant and timely. God sent him there to raise the alarm that brought my auntie to the scene.
Now, the place of my birth and how I was born, what happened to my right eye and the hunter that came, all speak prophetic volumes to me today. They hold prophetic messages that I decode to myself in days of reflection. Indeed, you can see a reflection of even my kingdom assignment in the details, especially my assignment as an apostolic and prophetic midwife!!!
To start with, my mum delivered me without a midwife and that was dangerous, but it spoke of my apostolic assignment. God has sent me to be a spiritual midwife to those who are trying to bring forth their prophetic destinies without one.
LIKE THE HUNTER DID IN THE NATURAL, HE HAS RAISED ME TO RAISE AN ALARM IN THE SPIRIT ON THEIR BEHALF.
He has not just raised me to raise an alarm but to be the prophetic and apostolic midwife they have lacked for years. Indeed, there are also people who are bringing forth their spiritual visions and prophetic purposes in wrong places like I was born in the wrong place.
Some of these people are in wrong Churches, others under wrong prophets and prophetesses, while some others are caught up in the net of doing the right things in the wrong places. Consequently, their spiritual destinies are bleeding profusely from the bite of the dragon like my eye bled that day.
If help did not get to them quickly, they will keep bleeding and die. Part of my assignment on earth is to locate this breed and bring them under God’s apostolic grace so they can be spiritually nursed properly and healed from the bite of the dragon.
If you are pregnant with a prophecy, a vision, a plan, and purpose from the LORD, and you need a prophetic and apostolic support to bring forth God’s plan for your life, welcome to our ministry. If you are battling the dragon bite, God has a healing balm for you in our ministry.
The LORD has given us enough spiritual resources to help you become all He has preplanned you to be.
Indeed, the place and event that surrounded my birth 49 years ago hold a strong prophetic message that helps one in numbering his days. If there was a prophet to decode it to my mum that day, it would have been spectacular. But there was none. However, the LORD was her prophet.
He watched over me and shone His prophetic light on my soul. Today I am what the prophetic message in those details spoke. You do not always need a prophet in your life to know what God want you to do with your life, If the Holy Spirit is upon you, that is enough. Intimacy with Him will solve the mystery.
As I celebrate this day with my spiritual and biological families, join us in reflecting on God’s goodness and mercies. Let none be a “far-you-see” or “Sad-you-see;” I meant let none be a pharisee or a Sadducee. Rejoice with me and say something glorious to the LORD. Amen!!!
