TODAY’S DEVOTION (Saturday 5th July 2025)
“Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.” 1 Kings 18:45-46 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 186TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD after passing successfully through a month that meant so many things to many of us. Generationally, it is a month that marks the middle of the year. Now, we are in a new month. I am persuaded that God who brought us to the middle of the year will take us safely to the end.
We have been refreshing our hearts on matters of divine destiny, and God has been faithfully making it such an amazing experience. The Spirit of truth has been feeding us with matters of divine destiny, and I do not know about you, but I am incredibly grateful to God and His Holy Spirit who made all that happen.
Indeed, God will not stop pursuing His own with mysteries because He wants to be revealed. God does not want to be concealed. That is why it pains His loving Heart when a preacher stands before a people to preach messages that did not reveal God to the people.
The gospel is to be demonstrated and not just to be preached, and until it is demonstrated God cannot be revealed completely to a people. If God is not revealed, a lot about our divine destiny cannot be fulfilled, because it is the people who do know their God that will be strong and carry out great exploits.
We have been looking at the things that our divine destinies will need to be fulfilled. These things are Treasures of GOD’s kingdom, that if are missing in our lives, we will become stagnant in life and not come into the manifestations of GOD’s pre planned purposes for our lives.
If you have not been following the devotional this month, please go back to read those things and you will discover what may be missing in your life. Today we will be looking at the next thing that our divine destinies will need to be fulfilled. Like I said, it is a revisit we are carrying out.
THE NEXT THING OUR DIVINE DESTINIES WILL NEED TO BE FULFILLED HAS TO DO WITH KEEPING THE SCHEDULE OF GOD FOR OUR LIVES.
We get overtaken by the consequences of our rebellion towards GOD, failed systems that we may have been born into, or any other circumstances that are beyond us, only to wake up late in life. That is where divine acceleration comes in. If God does not help us to recover the time we may have lost in our pursuit of life goals, we may not fulfill our divine destinies.
If there is anything more our divine destinies will need to be fulfilled, that thing is called DIVINE ACCELERATION.
I have come to discover that if our lives lack divine acceleration, especially after the dragon has slowed us down, time and chance will rob us of accomplishing significant things within a lifetime. The power of divine acceleration and what it does to our lives cannot be over emphasized. It will so beautify a man’s life and propel one to accomplish great things within a very short period.
Personal mistakes of life can be very costly to our divine destiny.
Abram got one Ishmael from such mistakes, and his destiny was altered severely. Everything began from his not rising early in life to respond to God, according to Genesis Chapter eleven and twelve, and got compounded by Ishmael. He seemed to be missing God’s schedule for his life, until divine acceleration hit him.
There are goals we will never achieve in God, especially if we find ourselves in a system that is working against us, except we receive the grace of divine acceleration from GOD. I have taught again and again that God originally scheduled everyone to come into destiny at 30 years of age.
In His plan and purposes, once a person, male or female, reaches thirty, he or she should start unleashing divine destiny. That was why people entered into priesthood in Israel at 30. That was the age of entering into the service of priesthood in the days of the Bible.
That is why you will find Joseph becoming the prime minister of Egypt and minister of Agriculture at thirty. You will also discover that Jesus began to fulfill His earthly ministry and becoming what God sent Him to be from the age of thirty.
DAVID ALSO CAME TO REST FROM THE SWORD OF SAUL AND ENTERED HEBRON AT THIRTY.
The question now is, how old are you and where are you in God’s plans for your life! God designed and scheduled that when a man hits thirty years of age, he should begin to be what He has created him to be. He may not fully become, but he should begin to become.
Sadly, if you look at many of us today, you find a lot that have missed this schedule of God for our lives. That is why many are now above thirty and have still not found their bearing in life. If God did not bring them under His portal of divine acceleration, they may die without fulfilling divine destiny.
There is the blessing of Divine Acceleration. When it hits you, you begin to succeed at the speed of GOD. You begin to cover great distances in a short period of time.
If you are a pastor, you will find yourself growing so fast in ministry, that people who are jealous and bitter of your success will begin to think you sacrificed something to the devil (even if people do it).
They will not know that you only laid down your life on the altar of His will for your life as a living sacrifice having discovered how late you have become in life, and God began to respond with divine acceleration. A Major highlight in our devotional text this morning says:
“Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.”
That was Divine Acceleration on the Prophetic Ministry of Elijah. I believe God has reserved the same grace for those that will function in the Spirit of Elijah these end times.
There will be local Churches that will be placed on same chariots in our battle against Baal. God knows we will have to run against the chariots of Ahab and overtake them into Jezreel so that we can take over the gates of wickedness and pull them down.
I am writing all this to tell you that your divine destiny will need the hand of the LORD coming upon you from time to time, to be fulfilled. It will need the hand of the LORD to be coming upon you to help you run ahead and be ahead, depending on the circumstances, without which no manifestation of destiny will be possible.
As we bring this to a close, understand that everyone who fulfilled one thing or the other in God’s kingdom, laid down their lives as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to Him, with God responding by pouring His glory on them. When the glory was poured, they hit so many blessings in the Spirit, including the power of divine acceleration.
You will need to do the same if God has placed a seed of divine destiny in you to bring forth on earth. Amen!! It is a new day for you!
