TODAY’S DEVOTION (Friday 25th July 2025)
Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, Ephesians 5:14-18 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 206th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY!
Glory to the LORD GOD Almighty for another weekend! The mercies of the LORD are indeed new every morning. Great is His faithfulness. They have made our year remarkable and brought some of the greatest shockwaves of God’s goodness to us.
I pray that God continue to keep us, amen and amen.
We have been looking at the things our divine destiny will need to be fulfilled. Today we want to look at the next. First, it is important to acknowledge the times and seasons we live in. We are in the last days, in a season of what is called the horrors of the last days. If you will fulfill your divine destiny today, you must be aware of that.
You must walk in spiritual awareness of our times and seasons to fulfill your destiny!! You must not walk in spiritual blindness like the rest of the world. You must be aware that things have changed, and that times are no longer the same. Caution is now required more than before.
In times and seasons like this, there are things you should never do. If you do them, they might destroy you completely, because things are no longer the same.
For instance, what we will do and go free fifty years ago, we can’t do and go free today. The society may not call it wrong, but by God’s justice system, it will ruin us more. Yes, what we will do and not see our destiny affected in any way fifty years ago will completely alter our destiny today!!
SADLY, IT WILL DO IT WITHOUT US REALIZING IT.
For instance, if you marry the wrong woman or man fifty years ago, it will not affect your destiny as much as it would if you do that today. If you make a mistake in life and fall into a life of sexual sins fifty years ago, it will not affect your destiny the way it would today.
One of the reasons is, fifty years ago we will easily know we had done very wrong and need to repent, but today the gross darkness will influence our hearts to call it our weakness and propel us to justify our actions.
There are many today who unjustly abandon their marriages for younger men or women, justifying themselves with things the God of the Bible will never justify. There are those doing to their spouses what people will never do to their spouses fifty years ago yet seeing nothing wrong in it.
There are others who do some very unjustifiable things in their marriages that were not even dreamt of fifty years ago.
If ever we will fulfill our destiny, we must understand that things have changed drastically, but God’s justice system has not changed. We must not forget that actions still have the same spiritual consequences they had then even if we do not see the consequences manifest immediately.
What is wrong in God’s sight fifty years ago, is still wrong in His sight today even if it is no longer wrong in the sight of present-day preachers.
Fifty years ago, you could get pregnant out of wedlock and not ruin your destiny because it was seen as an abomination and not supported by any church. People did and quickly walked away from it, embraced the right paths and still went on to fulfill their destinies. But today you will ruin your destiny with it completely because it has become the norm.
The Bible teaches that if transgression becomes a norm, it will begin to ruin more destinies, because people will not even think of walking away from it, hence building a generation of children born through transgression. If you want to fulfill your destiny today, especially in God’s design, you must understand that and not fall into the snare of the enemy.
FIFTY YEARS AGO, BEING SINGLE WAS NOT A CALAMITY.
Today it is treated like a calamity worse than going to hell, hence forcing people to enter marriages that are simply fornication and adultery in God’s justice system, and putting lives in danger of eternal fire. Clearly if women like Kathryn Kuhlman were alive today, they will marry repeatedly after the failed marriage she had and ruin their mantles.
If there is any time to become wise and know what the will of the LORD is, it is now. Friends the days are evil. More evil than they were fifty years ago. A major part of our devotional text says:
“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,” Ephesians 5:15-18 NKJV
If we will ever become what God destined us to be today and make heaven, this scripture must be at the center of our hearts. We must assimilate each word in it and yield the totality of our spirits to it. We must not be drunk with this wine that the spirit of Babylon is serving present day believers. We must be filled with the Holy Spirit as of old, the very wine Christ served the early church.
Like we stated earlier, if Miss Kuhlman and the rest who shook their world with God’s presence were alive today, our generation would have persecuted them for their commitment to the LORD, not to get married after the failed one, but live the rest of their days serving the LORD with their whole lives, without sharing it with a man.
The so-called fathers of faith would have sat them down and say to them “you are being misled” or do other things to influence them to break their vows to the LORD!!! Indeed, the days are evil.
Due to the wine Babylon has served many today, our church generation is not recognizing the call on some to live single lives for the kingdom’s sake. If you will ever fulfill your destiny today, you must understand that times and seasons have changed, else you begin to do things that will ruin you even eternally.
YOU SEE THE CHANGE IN THESE TIMES AND SEASON EVEN IN THE TYPE OF CHURCHES WE HAVE TODAY!
You see it in the type of preachers we have today; money-minded and not Heaven minded preachers. People who preach to please men and have more money, thereby having churches that are simply the gates of hell.
Fifty years ago, there were more churches preaching against immorality and all forms of sins, but today you can hardly find them. Today people are finding it difficult to truly repent of sins than fifty years ago. People are finding it difficult to live a life of purity than fifty years ago. People are finding it more difficult to get married in God’s way and will than fifty years ago.
People are sold out to do evil than fifty years ago.
Even the youths are not left out. They now have more profanity to feed on than fifty years ago. The elderly now have more mundane things to feed on than fifty years ago. Children are no longer protected from profanity, pornography, immoral behavior and all that corrupts a young mind like it was five decades ago.
Times and seasons have drastically changed. If fifty years ago had darkness, what we have today is called gross darkness. If fifty years ago had deception, what we have today is hyper deception. You must be aware of the changed in times and seasons to be able to fulfill your destiny today.
If you understand that things have changed, for example, you will be caution of the deceptions of the last days. Yes, if you understand that things have changed, you will be careful of marriage and money matters.
If marriage is not forth coming, you will not just jump into the hands of any available sperm donor you see as a husband or seed donor you see as a wife and begin to make babies with them. It might alter even your eternal destiny very badly because things are no longer the same.
If you want to fulfill your destiny today, understand that the days are evil and begin to be strict about doing only what you have scripturally proven to be God’s will. Understand that the spirit of lawlessness has been let loose and pursue the Spirit of truth, by cultivating the love of the truth above anything else. That is the word of the LORD!!!
