TODAY’S DEVOTION (Friday 1ST August 2025)
“Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men!”
“You shall hide them in the secret place of your presence from the plots of man; you shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.”

WELCOME TO THE 213TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
The steadfastness of our God never ceases. His faithfulness never comes to an end. They are new every morning!! Great is His faithfulness. It is a new month, and we are glad about what the love of the LORD has done.
We are in extremely critical seasons of the battle between good and evil. We are in seasons when the gates of hell are unleashing all they can on the programs of GOD, but God has kept us and brought us to a new month. If He had not said yes, the enemy’s no, would have destroyed our lives.
Glory be to the LORD who has not given us as prey to the teeth of our enemy. We are alive because He is keeping us alive. Yes, if you see us at rest, it is because He has been our man of war. If you see us shining, it is because He is our Sun of righteousness. We will remain grateful to Him. Amen
We ended last month’s devotionals looking at the things that our divine destiny will need to be fulfilled. Due to the end time programs of God and the necessity for all to wake up to matters of divine destiny, we will continue the same flow under the LORD this month.
Today, the first day of the 8th month of our year of victory, we will be looking at the next thing our divine destinies will need to be fulfilled, especially in the present age; that thing is victory over financial hardship.
YES, VICTORY OVER FINANCIAL HARDSHIP.
Satan is good at using lack and poverty to cripple the programs of God on earth. He is good at using debts, either you owing people or people owing you, to cripple God’s will for your life. He is good at using our personal financial miscalculations to run down our finances and stop us from doing God’s will. He is good at organizing situations that remove money from our pockets around us.
He is good at making sure we build our hopes on people’s promises of financial help that will never come, making sure we spend money that has never come through stupid loans, and all that. He is good at waging terrible financial warfare using our ignorance on money matters and people in our space that he can sway.
He is good at enthroning wicked governments to unleash financial hardship on people.
But our God is also good at helping us out, sometimes very swiftly other times slowly, depending on our faith and our need to grow in stature. Howbeit, know that your destiny will need victory over any form of financial hardship to be fulfilled, and do not forget that your God has a history.
He has a history of not abandoning His own in time of need. He has a history of adding financial prosperity to the efforts His people make to release their divine destinies. As the omniscience, He knows how lethal financial hardship can be in stopping His programs on earth, especially in our age, hence granting us victory.
There have been no one God placed an assignment on their lives that has ever been abandoned in financial hardship, no one. God has always come through for them. If you are going through any from of financial hardship today, God will come through for you!!
Just believe and hang on to obedience to His will, ways, words and submission to His power.
If you look at the nation of Israel of Bible days, you will see that God has always placed economic prosperity side by side the release of a man’s destiny. He has always made sure that as soon as one becomes sold out to His assignment for their lives, they are taken, over time, from penury to plenty.
HE DOES THAT TO PREVENT ECONOMIC HARDSHIP FROM CRIPPLING HIS PEOPLE AND PROGRAMS.
For instance, He decreed plenty on Isreal and gave it to them. He made sure the inherited houses they never built, not through stealing or witchcraft but by His favor on them. The Bible says:
“For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them.
You are my King, O God; Command victories for Jacob.” Psalm 44:3-4 NKJV
Your divine destiny will need the very move of God you see in this scripture to be fulfilled. I say again, your divine destiny will need the move of God we just read in Psalm 44:3-4 to be fulfilled. You will need the same commanded economic prosperity and financial victories Isreal got from God, to become all that He has called you to be.
So, stand on that scripture in prayer asking the LORD to command the same favor He gave Israel to be made manifest in your life. Understand again that if there is no victory over financial hardship in your life, you will never be able to fulfil God’s program for your life.
May the LORD give you money this month!! May He keep you away from begging and borrowing. May the fountains of His mercies break forth in your life and bring the financial provisions you need to fulfill God’s will for your life this month and beyond. Amen and amen!!
In time past, our apostolic fathers used their blood to do God’s will. While some believers still do that today in few regions of the world, and many might still do in the days to come, most of what we will use to do God’s will in most regions of the world today, will be money in one hand, and God’s miracle working power in the other.
If you we do not align with this Bible truth, it will be impossible to begin God’s assignments for our lives and move them to the finishing line. A major highlight in our devotional text today says,
“Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men!”
THE MANIFESTATION OF GOD’S GOODNESS IN FORM OF ECONOMIC FREEDOM IS A NECESSITY TO THE RELEASE OF DESTINY TODAY.
Yes, the goodness of God that is laid up for our financial plenty is among the sons of men not in Heaven, and that goodness must be made manifest in our lives for us to fulfill our destinies. That is what the will of the LORD says. If we have an assignment to fulfill in Christ, and God’s goodness laid up for us among the sons of men is not manifesting in our space, financial crisis will stop our march towards a glorious destiny.
We will conclude this devotional by looking at two principles we must put to work. They are the very principles that guarantee the release of the economic prosperity we need to fulfill our destiny.
The first is to be sold out in total synchronicity to doing God’s will for your life, being diligent in your work and solving people’s problems. God’s servant apostle Paul said, “my life is worth nothing, except I spend it doing the things assigned to me by the LORD Jesus.” That is the standard. Be sold out!!
If you are sold out in whatever your hand finds to do, you will not need to sale your soul to find what to eat while pursuing your divine destiny. Be sold out and you will not need to lie, steal, cheat, forge documents, or go about looking for greener pastures to conquer your economic challenges.
If you are a preacher, and you are sold out in doing God’s assignment, you will not need to sale oil, water, salt, or any other thing as prayer materials to have money for ministry. God will show up for you.
The second principle is in the devotional text. It says, “how great is your goodness which YOU HAVE LAID UP FOR THOSE WHO FEAR YOU.” It is simply the principle of the fear of the LORD. The goodness of the LORD that will bring money or economic freedom is not laid up for those who pretend to fear God but those who truly fear Him.
If we do not live our lives in “the fear of the LORD,” we will shut down the power to get wealth for the release of destiny from operating in our lives. The Bible teaches that the whole duty of a man is to fear God and depart from evil. If we do not fulfill this duty, we will destroy all that God has established on earth to bring money to us.
If we do not fear God, we will be doing things that will shut down the supernatural supply of our resources, thereby bringing us to the realm of struggles; the very realm where even our hard work or diligence will not give us the financial freedom it should.
I believe the LORD has spoken to us. May the new month be our month of seeing more of God’s marvelous kindness in any City we find ourselves so that what is laid up by God for us in those cities can come to us. Amen!!
