THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Wednesday 6th August 2025)

“I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.”

“He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”

“I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.” Ecclesiastes 3:10-12 KJV

WELCOME TO THE 218TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY

It’s been six days since we stepped into the 8th month of the year, we are grateful to God.

We have been running at a speed supplied by God’s mercies. That is why our lives have not been messed up. Indeed, the truth you keep will keep you, as God’s servant Jesse Duplantis said. We need to walk by faith because faith is a creator. It will create a new life for us!

These truths are building our faith so that we can create. I hope you are creating. I hope you are creating a better life by properly applying these truths. Yes, faith creates but love motivates. I hope the love of God is running through your hearts and motivating you to keep running the race.

Today we will continue with what our divine destiny needs to be fulfilled. The next is “God’s timing.” Yes, God’s timing. Your divine destiny will need you to learn to do things in God’s time to be fulfilled. That is why the revelation of spiritual timing is a requirement.

Divine assignments, plans, visions, purposes and projects are designed to prosper only if executed or carried out in God’s timing. If man’s timing influences them in any way, there will be unpleasant results. Every destiny man or woman must understand that.

It is a principle that ran through the hearts of all who did things with God in Bible days. It’s the same principle that must guide our hearts today!

We live in a season where everyone is on the fast lane. No one really wants to go through the process of time and arrive at God’s time. People just want to do things and do them now. Except they have no resources, they will run ahead of God not caring about divine timing, consequently, running into life problems.

CHILD OF GOD, ALL LIVES SEEM TO BE ON THE FAST LANE. DON’T PLACE YOURS THERE!!

God’s plans for us are not in time but eternity, so to follow or execute them, you will need to be able to discern the times ordained for you to do a thing. You will need to do things within His time frame. You will need to make sure that you do not use your time to run His things and you do not call your time His time, because He will not make anything beautiful in your time. He will only make them beautiful in His time.

If we do not follow His timing, or if we allow our timing to clash with His timing, we will be stagnated in life. That is why the Life of many Christians go in a cycle and is stagnated. Very few know how to recognize God’s time. God’s time is sometimes called a time of visitation.

A time of visitation is not just a time for receiving miracles, or breakthrough from God, but also a time God visits us with the moment to do things He may have predestined us to do. You will need to be able to recognize such time for your destiny to be fulfilled.

Jesus Himself made it clear that many of us suffer and are stagnated in life because we do not know our time of visitation; we do not know when God has come to move us to the next level or when He has brought the divine moment to carry out a divine assignment.

Most people become either lazy or irresponsive when that moment comes from Heaven, thereby killing a great future that would have resulted from their proper response.

You will not be able to do anything God may have called or preplanned you to do if you cannot humble yourself and discern the divine moment that came from Heaven for the things to be done, before you do them.

IT IS WHEN WE DO THINGS IN THE MOMENTS CREATED FOR THEM TO BE DONE, OR THE TIME OF VISITATION, THAT ALL WILL BE WELL.

The Bible says,

“Be you humbled therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the time of visitation: Casting all your care upon him, for he hath care of you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7 Douay-Rheims

The word of the LORD in this scripture is clear. God cares about our destiny, but we must through humility recognize our moments. Our destinies are full of instructions to be carried out, orders or commands to be obeyed, and actions to be taken.

Yes, there are things that one must keep doing on daily bases for his or her destiny to be fulfilled. But everything must be done within the timing of God else we will have no favorable results despite our busyness with God. A major highlight in our devotional text today says,

“I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”

The word “travail” in this scripture simply means God given task. It has nothing to do with suffering or adversity. The Bible was referring to what God has assigned us to do within our own time frame, and that to me is to discover His time and take the Spirit led or destiny actions designed to be taken at that time.

For instance, Jesus died on the cross at God’s timing, that was why He resurrected. If He had died ten years earlier, He would not have resurrected.

The disciples of Christ got to the upper room at the right time, that was why they all got filled with the Holy Ghost. If they had gotten there before Jesus died on the cross, they would not have received Him. The release of destiny is usually tied to time, divine timing!!!

IF YOU WANT GOD TO MAKE ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL IN YOUR LIFE, DO THEM WITHIN HIS TIME.

God’s time comes with deliverances to receive, blessings to collect, instructions to obey, visions to pursue and execute, plans and purpose to make our goals, etc. That is why His time is called “DAY OF VISITATION.” It is usually full of divine moments to sense and see through the eyes of faith and cease swiftly.

One thing about divine moments is that when they come and we do not see, sense, and cease them, they will go back to eternity, leaving us dry. That is why many of us are still stagnated in life. Do not forget, until things leave Heaven to the earth of our lives, we will never go forward in life, and they do so in God’s time.

Let us close this by looking at why God’s time is so powerful. God’s time is powerful because that is the only time, He moves to make things beautiful! The Bible spoke about an evil time. You do not respond to destiny in an evil time. If you do, you will end up in life circumstances described in scriptures as a snare or a cruel net. It says:

“For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, Like birds caught in a snare, So the sons of men are snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.” Ecclesiastes 9:12 NKJV

What is an evil time? The Bible calls God’s time “beautiful” and calls every other time “evil.” An evil time, therefore, is a time that is not God’s time. It could be ours, that of our loved ones, or that of the devil.

Anytime that is not God’s time is an evil time.

Never do anything about your destiny in an evil time. If you do, you will be sorry how things will turn out. People have done things God truly wanted them to do, but because they did them in an evil time, there was no results. Today most are wondering why things never turned out the way the LORD promised them. They are wondering what the very things God asked them to do never produced the results He showed them they will produce.

But this morning the LORD has given us wisdom. I pray we apply it to our daily lives. Amen!! Your destiny will need things done withing God’s timing for it to be fulfilled. That is the word of the LORD!!!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!!

Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.”

“For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.” Luke 19:41-44 NKJV
