TODAY’S DEVOTION (MONDAY 25TH August 2025)
“For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.”
“For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath,’ They shall not enter My rest,'” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.” Hebrew 4:2-3 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 237TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
As we get closer and closer to the consummation of all things and the final return of our LORD and savior Jesus Christ, the Bible made it clear that the mystery of God shall be finished. Meaning, we shall come to a perfect understanding of hidden truths in God!
Our devotional word today is simple, instructive, and maybe deep! It’s about the lessons we can draw from family life.
We have been looking at what our divine destinies need to be fulfilled. The lesson on family life is what certain destinies need to be fulfilled. It is my prayer that as we look at them, you will find light and understanding in Jesus precious name. Amen!!!
Barrenness and fruitfulness in marriage has a lot of lessons to teach the end time Christian and all destiny men and women. There are so many things that can be responsible for bareness. While in some cases it is the seed of a man that is responsible for bareness, in other cases it is the womb of the woman.
No matter how fruitful the womb of a woman is, if the seed of the man that enters it is bad it will never get the womb of that woman pregnant with Child. On the other hand, a Fruitful womb is the key to conception. If the womb of a woman is not fruitful, no matter how powerful the seed of a man is, that womb will never conceive a Child.
IN OTHER WORDS, BOTH THE WOMB OF A WOMAN AND THE SEED OF A MAN MUST BE PRODUCTIVE FOR A CHILD TO BE CONCEIVED!
What spiritual truth can we draw from this natural reality? What lessons can we find to help us in releasing our destinies? Quite a few!!
The seed of a man represents the word of the LORD, and the womb of a woman represents the spirit of man. Do not forget that we are the bride of Christ, He expects that we receive word seed from Him and bring forth either in our lives or in the harvest fields of the world. That is one major way we fulfill our destinies.
If our spirits are productive, His words will be mixed with faith in our hearts and bring forth things in His plans for our lives, that will get His will done on earth as written in heaven. Off course, the driving force of every destiny is to get the will of God done on earth as written in heaven.
We thank God for making the baren fruitful, and if you are baren, believe God for that miracle, even as we draw lessons from the word of the LORD.
However, like the womb of a baren woman is, so is the spirit of most men and women of destiny, which is why they have not been able to release their destinies. There are some whose spirits cannot conceive anything no matter how powerful, effective, anointed, sanctified, miracle-producing and deep the word of God they hear is.
They are nonproductive or baren in the spirit, as a result no conception can take place!!
Do not forget, in the spirit, conception is the key to delivery. It is the key to bringing forth miracles, blessings, outbreaks of God, peace, and prosperity in our lives. Once the word is conceived, faith will be born. Once faith is born, something will break forth, leading to the release of destiny.
BUT IF THE SPIRIT IS BAREN OR UNPRODUCTIVE, ALL THAT CANNOT HAPPEN. LEADING TO EVER HEARING BUT HAVING NO RESULTS TO SHOW.
God designed that His word produce faith in us because Faith is a child of spiritual conception. It is what the word of the LORD creates in our spirits that births faith in us. In simple terms, your Faith will flow from what you have conceived in your spirit-man by the power of the word of God that you hear.
Any faith that is not producing a miracle or a divine move of God is nonexistent. We call that trust. Trust gives one peace of mind but cannot produce miracles sometimes. It is faith that makes a radical difference in an instant. God’s design is that we walk in trust until faith is born.
As soon as faith is born, His promise for our lives will be made manifest.
Now, let us shed some little light on Trust. The purpose of trust is different, that is why it does not bring immediate miracles. Its job is to help us avoid worrying, walk with God patiently, or hang on to the LORD until He shows up. I hope you understand me. That is why the Bible says:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
This scripture teaches that we should trust God until faith shows up and begin to direct our paths. Yes, it presents trust as the fertility ground of faith. It shows us how trust in God prepares us for faith in God.
That is why you should never allow the devil to take you away from trusting God. If you do, you will be thrusted into the dangerous state of worry, where faith can never be conceived, and if faith cannot be conceived, you will never enter your rest or the manifestation of God’s promise for your life.
We are to hold on to trust in God because trust in God is usually translated into a miracle producing faith in God as we get closer to a season of visitation. In other words, whenever God wants to show up, trust will be translated into a miracle producing faith.
YES, WE WILL MOVE FROM TRUST IN GOD TO FAITH IN GOD, AND HERE IS HOW IT WORKS.
When God is about showing up, the approaching light will shine into our hearts either as a word in season, rhema word, or words that comes as spirit and life, and faith will be born in us. As soon as faith is born, a miracle or a divine promise will be made manifest.
The importance of trust therefore cannot be ignored.
Trusting God is what prepares us to mix the word of God that we hear with faith. It is when the word we hear is mixed with faith that it can be profitable to us. But we must be in a trust-in-God mode for that to happen. God does not want us to be in worry mode.
The Worry mode is a place of defeat and posible destruction, but the trust mode is the place of life and possible elevation.
If you keep worrying over what you have lost, what you have missed, the mistakes you have made in life, the hopes you had dashed, loved ones who are dead, and maybe thinking you would have saved them, or the man or woman you did not marry and the one you eventually married, and all that, you will start sinking in life.
So, keep trusting God and moving on with His word and things will be better. Your divine destiny will need your mind to stay on God, trusting in Him at all times, to be fulfilled. The Bible says:
“For there is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its tender shoots will not cease.
Though its root may grow old in the earth, and its stump may die in the ground, Yet at the scent of water it will bud and bring forth branches like a plant.” Job 14:7-9 NKJV
I believe the LORD has spoken to us this morning. Now mix it with faith by taking actions in correspondence to what we have found in this devotional. Our devotional text said:
“For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.”
“For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath,’ They shall not enter My rest,'” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.” Hebrew 4:2-3 NKJV
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE A MEDITATION FOR THE DAY
“Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.”
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:11-13 NKJV
