TODAY’S DEVOTION (WEDNESDAY 27TH August 2025)
“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 239TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
Sometimes I wonder what people really expect from God. I wonder why they treat Him like a tool for the accomplishment of canal ambition and selfish goals. They transmit the same to His servants, who they also treat like tools for the realization of selfish desires.
God and His servants have been reduced to mare consultant clinics and hospitals.
Clinics and hospitals are only important when people are sick. But once they are healthy, they are no longer important. We have been looking at what our divine destinies need to be fulfilled, and I want to submit to you that our divine destinies will need our lives planted in the house of the LORD to succeed.
It will not need the treatment of God as a dispensary.
To so many people, God and His servants are only important when they have problems. Once they are free from their problems they disconnect from them. You will never fulfil your destiny that way. You must be committed to a course to fulfill your destiny, not live a life that floats from place to place.
To others, just as people move from one hospital to the other when they are sick until they find cure, so they treat Church, God and His servants; they move from Church to Church, pastor to pastor, and God to god, to find cure.
Sadly, many are finding none because you do not treat anything divine like a dispensary and fulfill your destiny or get rest from God from your enemies.
TIME TO SYNCHRONIZE WITH WHAT GOD DESIGNED HIS CHURCH TO BE!
I used to define the Church to be a spiritual hospital and God the doctor and men the patients because of what Jesus said about the sick needing a doctor. But God brought me out of that when He gave me a deeper revelation of what Church is, using the book of Ephesians, because no scripture should be made to stand alone. The Bible interprets the Bible.
If we just reduce Church to be a hospital, we the patients and God the doctor, then we are not seeing things in God’s apostolic and prophetic perspective. That is why people do not have a relationship with God! They only have contact with Him.
Until we line up with what Church really is we will keep having contact with God instead of relationship with Him. God is not looking for our contacts. He created us for relationship with Him. Of course, no patient really has a relationship with a doctor, a hospital, clinic or dispensary! We all have contact with them not relationships.
Contact requires no commitment. It is based on problem solving. That is why no one has ever moved out of his or her home to go to live in a hospital, clinic, or dispensary or with a doctor or nurse. But relationships are built on the foundation of commitment. That is what makes Church, God and His servants different, and that is what you need to fulfill your destiny!!
If you treat God like a dispensary, life will treat you like a prescription.
God wants people who will live with Him in covenant relationship not just have contact with Him. That is why God is neither your doctor, nor His Church your hospital and servants your nurses. He is your life and home. The role of His servant and Church is to help you build relationship with God not just maintain contact with Him.
No one who just maintains contact with God will have rest this end times or fulfill their divine destiny. There was a generation that did that in the Days of the Bible, and the result was not really good. They could not fulfill their destinies.
THE BIBLE SAYS THERE WAS NO PEACE TO HIM WHO WENT OUT OR COME IN.
“For a long time Israel has been without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law; but when in their trouble they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them.
And in those times there was no peace to the one who went out, nor to the one who came in, but great turmoil was on all the inhabitants of the lands. So nation was destroyed by nation, and city by city, for God troubled them with every adversity.” 2 Chronicles 15:3-6 NKJV
This generation made God a temporally shelter and got the result – no permanent peace. You can never get a permanent peace, steady progress, or enduring success if you make God a temporally shelter. Neither can you get peace making Him your consultant of eternity affairs.
God is not a consultant of eternity affairs, neither is he a temporal shelter. God is our source, and His servants are His arm for returning us back to and keeping is in Himself. So, if you are treating Him either as a clinic, a hospital, or a consultant, you will never make it in your walk with Him. You will never have any permanent thing from GOD.
There are realms of glory you will never come into or embrace and walk in.
There are those who claim they love GOD but treat His servants and church very badly. You cannot claim you love GOD then treat what is His badly. If a man truly loves the LORD, it will show in how He treats His servants or the Church.
You cannot claim to love God and then treat His servants and the church badly. If you claim you love God but treat His servants and His Church badly, you do not love God. You are a hypocrite. It’s like saying you love a man but hate his wife and Children, his mother father and siblings.
The same is applicable in submission and sitting under God’s authority. You cannot say you are submissive to God if you are not submissive to a His servants or answerable to a local Church. There are so many Christians who are not answerable to anyone. But they say they are answerable to God.
HOW CAN YOU BE ANSWERABLE TO GOD AND YOU ARE NOT SUBMISSIVE TO ANY OF HIS SERVANTS OR COMMITTED TO LOCAL CHURCH?
Our devotional text today says, “we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” That is what I am doing this morning. Stop this foolishness you call Christianity. Be truly reconciled to God.
True worshipers do not treat anything that carries the seal of God lightly. They sit under God given authority, by being submissive to a servant of the LORD and committed to a local Church.
The version of Christianity we see in the lives of so many today, is in total conflict with the Christianity of the Bible. You cannot serve God without having a pastor over your life. You cannot serve God without being committed to a local Church.
There are those who do not commit to their local churches at all but want all they need submitted to them. In the Kingdom of God, if you do not commit, God will not submit. Except it is an assembly of Satan, stop speaking ill of your local church, making all forms of allegations. Do something to help your man of GOD. Commit yourself to God.
God wants us to be reconciled to Him. If we are truly reconciled to God, we will not engage ourselves in spiritual masturbation; where we sit all by ourselves, having a feel of God all by ourselves, without receiving seed from a divinely ordained authority through corporate fellowship.
Fellowshipping with other believers and having a pastor called of God you are committed to remains a Biblical key to making it to Heaven in the next life. There are times you do not attend Church because you like a church. You attend Church because it prepares you for Heaven. It may be made up of a few people or thousands.
if a Church is not feeding your carnal desire but is preparing you for Heaven, you have escaped the deceptions of the last days.
