TODAY’S DEVOTION (Friday 19th September 2025)
“Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.” Romans 12:19 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 262ND DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
We thank the LORD God almighty for His mercies in our lives. We thank Him for the truth of His words that we have always encountered on this platform.
When flames of truth burn off errors and deception, there are always sparks of reaction from people who are beneficiary of what the LORD is frowning at. That is the reason for all the backlash we do face in ministry, as God’s teaching prophets and apostles.
Personally, I have been called a cult, demonized, vilified and contemptibly called, the Nigerian here in Kenya because of the same reasons. They try to diminish us in so many ways with better words they shoot at us like arrows because of the flames of truth on our lips, our pen and fingertips.
Sometimes it is difficult, but when we look back at the lives and times of our fathers, men like Paul the apostle who went through the same, we will be encouraged.
When we look at the lives of those that these flames of truth are refining, we receive strength. When flames of truth burn off the flesh and all forms of carnality, they leave a mark behind. That was the mark Paul and many other apostles of Grace and Truth in scriptures had.
It is part of the marks of the LORD Jesus Christ because Jesus is the way, the Truth and the Life. It is a mark that makes one Christlike in moral nature and spiritual power.
IT MAKES ONE TO DESIRE TO LIVE THE WAY THE LORD AND THE EARLY CHURCH LIVED.
Today, in awe, we hear the same people who vilified and condemned us for what we taught on CITIZEN TV and elsewhere, stealing from it to preach. I wish it was out of true encounters with the LORD, but clearly it is not. That is why they have never tendered public apologies for all they called us.
They are only counterfeiting the message because they realized the LORD is with us and has taken His sheep from their dark controls and terrible errors.
Truth is first a person, that person is Jesus Christ. He manifested in form of grace and truth and walked in the lives of men and women resulting in the selection of Godly and Heavenly revelation called the Bible. When kindled by the Holy Ghost, the truth can leave a mark on you – a mark that will make sure no devil trouble you again. The Bible says,
“From now on let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.” Galatians 6:17 NKJV
There is certain trouble that leaves you when you allow the flames of truth to consume you until you become pure as gold. Yes, there are devils that will stay permanently away from you when you go through the refining process of burning truths from the throne room of God.
That is the process that takes place in the lives of those the LORD has given us to disciple.
The freedom that such refining process and power of the word of truth brings is what the devil does not want any to come into, because it keeps us forever beyond his reach. That was why we were vilified. But he failed and will always fail. The flames have power to burn off spiritual dirt in our lives.
Do not forget that it is spiritual dirt in our lives that makes us eatable by devils.
But when we abide in the word of God until the flames of the truth in the word get the dirt burnt off, we will become free and free indeed. That was what Jesus made clear to us when He said,
…”If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32 NKJV
God wants us consumed by His truth, and He wants us abiding in it so that the flames in His truth will remain unquenchable in our lives, refining us, purifying us, building us and keeping us refined and purified.
IF WE ARE KEPT REFINED AND PURIFIED, THE EVIL ONE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TOUCH US.
That is why the bible says:
“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.” 1 John 5:18 NKJV
It is the flames of truth in the word of Christ that we are keeping that makes it impossible for the evil or wicked one to touch us, it is not really our prayers. As necessary and powerful as righteous prayers are, there is something stronger than righteous prayer.
It is stronger because it makes righteous prayer powerful and life changing.
If you desire to make your prayer powerful and life changing, then you must have your heart kindled and consumed by the flames of strong apostolic truths, truth in the word of Christ (the bible describe those words as the testimony of Jesus Christ).
When we keep the truth, the flames in it will kindle our lives and protect us from the evil one.
God is the God of truth, and the flame in His truth consumes the spiritual dirt’s in the lives of the willing and refine them for His use or His blessings in their lives. But the flames do not do that in the lives of all. There are those that it terrifies. Those are the people who profit or live in error and benefit from darkness.
When it terrifies them, they will begin to hate or attack the one God may be using to spread the truth. Their hate blindfolds them not to see who is behind the truth that is being spewed out with a fervency and accuracy of the Spirit that is out of this world. Paul was one of such when he was Saul.
HE THOUGHT HE COULD SUCCEED AGAINST THE TRUTH UNTIL JESUS MET HIM.
When Christ met him, here is what he said:
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do you want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” Acts 9:5-6 NKJV
Saul got up from the ground that day knowing for the first time that he was attacking Christ Himself by attacking His truth bearers. Those in religious or moral darkness persecute bearers of God’s word when the flame in its truths touches them.
Sadly, many who attack bearers of fiery truths do that thinking they are doing harm to the bearers. They do not know that it is not the bearers they are harming but the One who is bearing the bearers up, to cry His truths in their hearts – the LORD Himself!
Sometimes people who do such things do it and prosper. They kill God’s redemptive work in the name of God and still prosper. The Bible spoke about things that makes the righteous sad. There are so many things that are making the righteous sad today.
One of it is the prosperity of the wicked. It’s not easy for the righteous to see the prosperity of the wicked and remain happy because it is the prosperity of people God is angry with every day.
Someone may be wondering why the sadness! Well, anyone who claims to be a Child of God and is happy when God is sad, is not His child. He is an alien in the transmits household of faith. It is the sadness of God that the Holy Spirit transmits into the hearts of the righteous that makes them sad.
The prosperity of people God is angry with every day, will destroy the prosperity of those God is happy with every day. That is the reason for the sadness. The prosperity of the wicked with a hate kindled by the flames of God’s truth will be used to quench that truth. That is why God is saddened.
God wants our hearts refined and purified by the flames in His word of truth and righteousness. It is when that happens that our life will be brightened up. The Bible says the paths of the just is like a shining light, that shines brighter unto a perfect day. What makes it shine is the flames of Bible truth that refines and purifies the just as he submits to God’s will and ways!!!
God sent this word to teach us to submit to His truths and let them purify and refine us. They will give efficacy to our Christians lives, improve the results we get in prayer, and give us a life that God designed us to have. Amen
LET THESE WORDS FROM OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!!
“I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.” John 17:14-19 NKJV
