TODAY’S DEVOTION (Tuesday 23rd September 2025)
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season, we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9 KJV
WELCOME TO THE 266th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
We have indeed seen great victories in these 266 days. God’s word certainly does not fail. No force in Heaven or on earth can make it fail.
The reason for that is simple – God’s word has an inbuilt performance power. It has capacity to fulfill itself. That is why you save a lot of energy if you choose to sail on the wings of God’s word. He declared himself:
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11 NKJV
When the word of the LORD leaves the throne room to our hearts, the first thing it does is to water it. It waters our hearts with the presence of God it comes with from His mouth. If our hearts are humble and contrite, the moisture of God’s presence will rest on it and make the word we heard to bring forth and bud in our spirits.
When it buds in our spirit, it will produce in our lives – giving seed to the Sower and bread to the eater. In other words, it will bring the word to pass in our lives. Creation itself is sustained by the word of God’s power. It is surviving because God spoke that it should survive.
The utterance has lasted for over 6000 years without failing. If God speak that you live, you will live irrespective of what might be against you. If God says that you become rich, great, successful or healthy for life, it will be so.
God’s word is stronger than time. It has the power to freeze time. It can cause times and seasons to be frozen so that God’s children come out victorious in life battles. Joshua knew that hence causing the Sun to stand still. That day the word of a man of God in God’s glory caused time to be frozen.
IT IS THEREFORE IMPORTANT THAT IF WE WANT TO BE SUSTAINED BY GOD’S POWER, WE DON’T TAKE HIS WORD FOR GRANTED!
You can walk with God by hearing His word, believing in it, and watching it freeze time for you to succeed against the odds of life. His word has inherent energy to release into our lives miracles and other moves of His Spirit if we do not take it for granted.
If we keep the doctrine of Christ, and live according to divine precepts, in the way we marry, the way we do business, the way we conduct ourselves, etc. God’s life-giving word of promise can then freeze time and work in our lives to produce the amazing wonders we need from His throne.
In fact, the word of the LORD is for our hearts. God designed it to be the secret of amazing strength in the lives of His Kingdom citizens.
It has the capacity to freeze time, so that we can be taken from sickness to health, from fear to faith, and from spiritual blindness to spiritual sight without losing much time. It has all it takes to freeze time, create and recreate, so that we can be built or planted, defended or distinguish etc.
If you want your world to be better than it is now, go for the word of the LORD that will freeze time and make it better, especially if age is no longer on your side. The word of the LORD holds the foundation of everything, and nothing good happens for too long if it is absent from people’s hearts.
If the word of the LORD is absent from a marriage, for instance, that marriage is gone. If it is absent from an economic life, that economic life is gone. No matter how rich you are, if GOD’s immediate present word is not at the center of it all, guiding your heart, refining your thoughts, inflaming your faith, and purifying your life, you are poor in disguise.
Without the word of GOD in your life, those dynamic things will not be happening, making sure your world falls apart after a season of being together. We live in an accurse world. So, to freeze the evil time that usually befall men and women, we must have the word of the LORD in our lives, guiding our heart, refining our thoughts, inflaming our faith, and purifying our lives.
If that is not happening, there will be nothing to freeze any evil time Satan creates to kill, still or destroy your joy, peace, or progress in your life. But with the word of the LORD present, all evil times will be frozen and nothing evil will befall you or your family.
THE WORD OF THE LORD IS THAT POWERFUL!
It can freeze time and create what does not exist. That is why I believe, if you put a man who is sold out to the word in an Island, and give him sufficient time, he will freeze that time you gave him and walk with the LORD to get the place filled with things that never existed there before. The word of the LORD at an immediate present can inflame our faith to create things out of nothing.
It is our tool for outsourcing Heaven to the earth.
If it is not in our hearts and mouths, we will pay dearly for its absence in the day of trouble. There will be nothing flowing out of our spirits to stop the enemy. There will be no power in our lives to freeze the times that constitute the evil day and grant us victory!!
That is why your Bible must be in your hand always, reading it, studying it and allowing the words that God speaks to come to you, to refine the deepest part of your life, purify you from the defilement of living in an accurse world, direct your thoughts and decisions, energize you to live a blessed life, inflame your faith, and do the rest of its work in your life.
The Bible says,
“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 AMP
The living word of GOD truly has what it takes to expose, sift, analyze and judge the very thoughts and purposes of a man’s heart. We can also see clearly that the word of the LORD does not just take care of the spiritual.
IT ALSO TAKES CARE OF NATURE. THE BIBLE SAYS:
“it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature],”
Our devotional text today is one of the statements to have ever proceeded from the mouth of God through His holy Apostle – Paul.
It says, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season, we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9 KJV). One of the well doings not to be weary doing is doing good to yourself, the good of making the word of the LORD the center of your life not just human activities.
Friend, understand that your strength in life depends on how far or close you are to your Bible.
Yes, your inner strength depends on how often you open your Bible in God’s presence, using the prayer knee and a heart that searches for life in the word, to find the very words that God speaks and make the pillars of your life, the words that energizes, freezes time to grant us life victories, expose, sift, analyze and judge the very thoughts and purposes of our hearts to align them with the will of the LORD on daily bases.
It is my prayer that this devotional will cause a beautiful move of God to break forth in your life. Amen
