TODAY’S DEVOTION (WEDNESDAY 29th October 2025)
“And He said, Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make Myself known to him in a vision and speak to him in a dream.
But not so with My servant Moses; he is entrusted and faithful in all My house.
With him I speak mouth to mouth [directly], clearly and not in dark speeches; and he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?” Numbers 12:6-8 AMP
WELCOME TO THE 302ND DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY
Blessed be the name of the LORD who made it possible for us to see another great day today. It is out of His mercies that we are not consumed!! He has been our refuge, our fire and purifier. That is why we are still in the faith.
We live in a season of increase of knowledge but decrease of the authentic voice of the LORD. That is why you see spiritual confusion, heresies and counterfeiting or stealing of words from one preacher to another increasing, the very things the LORD spoke against in the book of Jeremiah.
The Bible says knowledge shall increase. But amid it, there shall be a famine of the word of the LORD, a near absence of His true voice. We cannot afford to be without the voice of the LORD. So, if there is any time we need a word from the LORD, it is now!
That is why if God is not speaking to you directly and clearly, look for those He is speaking to directly and clearly and learn how to hear Him speak clearly and directly to you. If you do not do that, you will not be able to move from strength to strength, faith to faith or grace to grace, as a Christian.
Personally, I have come to discover that whenever the throne of grace wants to increase one’s grace, it will update the knowledge of GOD in the person and connect the person to an immediate present voice from the LORD. Yes, whenever GOD wants to increase one’s dominion in the spirit, His Holy Spirit will update or upgrade the revelation of who God is, in the person. Mostly, through an encounter with the voice of the LORD.
The upgrade of a man’s revelation of God by a direct encounter with the VOICE of the LORD, is Heaven’s way of increasing God’s dominion, grace, and power in a person’s life. A word from God is Heaven’s medium of increasing our revelation of God.
FRIEND, THERE IS A SILENT MOVE OF GOD TO RELEASE A PEOPLE OF “END TIME EXPLOITS” INTO HIS HARVEST FIELD.
But everyone that will function in it must be able to hear the voice of the LORD directly, because the Bible says, the LORD will utter His voice ahead of His army. If you do not have an accurate prophetic hearing system, if your hearing system, is faulty, there will be a problem. You will not be able to connect with the true voice of the LORD.
Sadly, you might end up picking from another spirit and destroying the harvest for having a faulty prophetic hearing system that you do not know you have. The Bible says,
“Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” Daniel 11:32 NKJV
There can be no Knowing God without an encounter with His true voice.
In fact, if you do not have access to the true voice of the LORD, your knowledge of God will be heretic and emotional. It will never be accurate. Knowing God through His voice is the most accurate way to know God. Bible History is littered with the lives of people who knew Him by being intimate with His voice and carried out great exploits for Him.
It is the voice of the LORD that will break the chains of poverty and bring you into abundance, it is the voice of the LORD that will heal you of any diseases and bring you into sound health, it is the voice of God that will give you an edge over the enemy. It is the voice of God that will define the boundaries of your calling and give clarity to your assignment.
You will never be anything in God as a Christian, especially on this side of eternity, if you are not hearing, absorbing, knowing, walking in the light of, and building your life around the voice of the LORD. Knowing God through an encounter with His voice is the missing link in the faith of many.
THOSE WHO ENCOUNTER GOD THROUGH ANY OTHER MEANS WILL END UP KNOWING ABOUT GOD. THEY WILL NEVER KNOW HIM!!
It is those who encounter Him through His voice that will know Him accurately. Knowing God and knowing about God, are not the same levels of knowledge. One is deep and accurate. The other is shallow and most times full of inaccuracies.
Simply put, Knowing God is deep and accurate, but knowing about God is shallow and most times full of inaccuracies of who He really is!
Knowing about God leaves a portion of our flesh alive, making it possible for us to blow up in pride. But knowing GOD kills our flesh completely and keeps us in a state of humility; because the more of God that is revealed to us, especially through encounters with His voice, the more we see that we are nothing.
In other words, the more of God His voice reveals to us, the less of us we become, making it impossible to boast.
In simple terms, the revelation of who God is has a way of reducing our pride level. That is why no one who truly met GOD in Bible days was full of pride. Moses who saw Him face to face was considered the meekest man on earth. It completely reduced His pride level to zero.
Don’t forget, he was a warrior. Warriors are usually full of the pride they fetch from the victories they get on the battlefield. But Knowing GOD, especially through an encounter with His voice in His glory, has a way of eliminating a man’s pride.
That is why, if you see someone who claim to have seen a vision, an angel, or seen God’s glory, walking in pride, that person has not seen God. So, encountering the voice of the LORD is not just an instrument of knowing God, but a tool for helping us develop Christian virtues. That is why people who know God, are also known by their Godly virtues and Christlike values.
THEY USUALLY TURN OUT TO BE MEN AND WOMEN THAT GOD’S VOICE HAS MOLDED INTO DEEPER LEVELS OF CHRISTLIKENESS.
They could have certain temperaments like Elijah, Peter, or Paul, but they are usually full of the love of God, the simplicity of Christ, and godly virtues, all steaming from the encounters they have had in life. Friend, God wants us to know Him, not just about Him. He wants each one of us to know Him face to face and be able to hear His blessed voice.
A major highlight in our devotional text says,
“And He said, Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make Myself known to him in a vision and speak to him in a dream.
But not so with My servant Moses; he is entrusted and faithful in all My house. With him I speak mouth to mouth [directly], clearly and not in dark speeches; and he beholds the form of the Lord.
This scripture contains the will of God for all of us. God wants us to grow from knowing about Him to knowing Him, and that will only happen if we come to the place of being close enough to hear Him speak to us face to face, clearly and not in dark speeches. It will happen if we come to the place of beholding the reality of the LORD in the forms Moses saw.
As we bring this to a close, I want to ask if you truly sensed the voice of the LORD in this devotional.
If you truly heard Him speak and show you God’s will for your life today. His will is that you know His voice and be able to hear Him yourself. His will is that you build your life around His voice. It all begins with building your life around His written voice, the Bible, by living according to its precepts and doctrine.
People who live according to the doctrine of God in the Holy Scriptures, will eventually come to the place of face to face, or mouth to mouth communications of the LORD!!! Do not forget, the Bible teaches that if we cannot hear His voice directly, then we are not part of the sheep of Jesus Christ.
It is my prayer that your “walk” and “talk” with God will be inflamed this morning, that the faith that move mountains and level hills be born in you from this word, in Jesus precious name, Amen.
