THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 2ND DECEMBER 2025)

“One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.” Psalm 27:4 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 335TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY

The Bible teaches that God daily loads us with benefits! He is good and generous. I don’t think many of us have realized how good and generous God is. That is why we are still poor, sick, frustrated and tormented.

How can we have such a generous and kind Father, and we are not reaching out to Him in faith to collect all He has for us? No!! That must change as we prepare for 2026. How can we be thinking so much of our shortcomings that we forget His generosity that helps us live a flourishing life on earth, and grace that helps us overcome those shortcomings?

The woman who was caught in adultery was not punished by Jesus; the God she sinned against. Her proposed punishment came from men, who themselves have sinned, not from the God she sinned against. The God she sinned against loaded her with benefit that day. He gave her forgiveness and a grace to go and sin no more. That was the benefit she needed.

Her story teaches that God does not condemn, He cures. Man condemns but cannot bring a cure!! Religion condemns and cannot bring a cure. Our hearts condemns us but cannot minister a cure to us. Only a heart that God lives in, condemns our sinful deeds and ministers a cure to us.

God is too generous to always think about condemnation without ministering a cure. He is always seeking our cure. He will not condone our sins but will not send us to its punishment either. He will send us to His grace to cure the sin problem. Our job is to stay on the same page with Him.

If you do not stay on the same page with Him, you will lose. You will lose your sanity, your desire to keep serving Him, your faith will be changed to unbelieve and the verdict of your flesh or that of Satan will be accepted as God’s verdict for your life.

YOU WILL NEVER LIVE A PEACEFUL LIFE IF YOU ACCEPT THE VERDICT OF YOUR FLESH OR SATAN AS GOD’S VERDICT FOR YOUR LIFE.

Come to think of it, the flesh or the devil will make us sin, then after we have sin, passed a verdict God did not pass over us, sometimes standing on a scripture He has not inspired at that time, thereby opening our lives to spiritual attacks. That is the warfare. It tells us how much Satan and our flesh hates us!!

That is why we must be careful the verdict we accept after we have sinned or after we have failed God in one way or the other. The woman caught in adultery was a daughter of Abraham. Sadly, she had accepted the verdict of the system and was ready to die. But thank God for Jesus.

He did not condone her terrible and destructive sin but brought a cure instead of a condemnation. The intervention of the LORD saved her life from death by stoning!

Her life further teaches that People who accept the verdicts of the flesh or the devil will always be sent away from serving God and be made to suffer things that are not from God thinking they are. They will go through attacks of the devil taking them to be punishments from God.

Some will permanently get married to satanic verdicts they take as God’s verdict, and if God did not intervene, they might die without knowledge.

Friend, you must know how God deals with us when we do wrong. He might chastise us if we persist and become too rebellious for His liking but will not condemn us to death and destruction. You should know how God deals with His own, because you are His own.

He will not think of punishing us, He will think of helping us overcome our sins. It is important that you understand that and not mix it up.

Understand that He will not think of punishing us but will not condone the sin either. He will focus on giving us grace and truth to overcome our shortcomings. The vision is to bring us to the place of desiring one thing, and that thing will be intimacy with Him. Our devotional text says:

“One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.” Psalm 27:4 NKJV

GOD’S VISION FOR DEALING WITH US IN CURATIVE TERMS IS TO BRING US TO THE PLACE OF FULFILLING THIS SCRIPTURE IN OUR LIVES.

You draw closer to who has a cure for your sin problem not the person that has a condemnation without a cure for it. Except you want to destroy yourself, you do not draw closer to even the one who condones it and calls it your weakness. You draw closer to the one who cures it.

Sinners drew closer to the LORD when He was physically here because He was the one with the grace and cure for their sins. Intimacy with the LORD is boosted by how He treats us when we sin. You will want to stay with the person that cures it. That is how the goodness of the LORD functions. That is how good, merciful, and kind our God is.

Some of us know so much of His terror that we know nothing of his goodness, hence tormenting ourselves and lacking the faith to ask Him for anything.

The revelation of God’s terrors is not to put us in such a state, but to help us fear Him, run to Him for cure when the need arises, and walk in His ways. You will tell Him, “LORD, cure me because I don’t want to be judged by you.” As you persist, praying, studying, coming to a church that aligns with Him, and yielding, He will cure you.

Friend, Dady God is good, and until you allow that to sink into your heart, you will remain poor, suffering, dejected and oppressed while He wants you free and flourishing.

I believe the LORD has spoken to us today. I believe the message of today’s devotional is passed.

We began by saying God loads us daily with benefits. One of the benefits is His Spirit sending us a word each morning through this platform. There are other benefits, like the renewal of our cells each day, the healing of our sick bodies, the restoration of whatever we lose, the forgiveness of our sins, etc.

Each day has its own benefits, depending on God’s program for our lives. This year alone, He has loaded us with benefits for 335 days. Believe God for more benefits during the remaining days of the year.

LET THIS SCRIPTURAL BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR TODAY!

For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, And its place remembers it no more.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, To such as keep His covenant,

And to those who remember His commandments to do them. Psalm 103:11-18 NKJV
