TODAY’S DEVOTION (FRIDAY 20TH FEBRUARY 2026)
“To know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding, to receive the instruction of wisdom, Justice, judgment, and equity;
To give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion — a wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,”

WELCOME TO THE 51ST DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY
Yesterday was the 50th day of the year. It reminds me of the 120 Disciples of Christ that were at the upper room on the 50th day after the resurrection of Christ to receive the Holy Spirit.
They were the first fathers and mothers of the Pentecostal movement.
In fact, the Church started that day. That is why you don’t call any group of people who call themselves Church a church if they are not moving in the fullness of the power of the Holy Spirit. In apostolicity, they are just a crowd!
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit and circumcision of the heart are God’s way of making a people part of His Church on earth. Until those two have happened, you are not yet part of the body of Christ, even if you claim you are.
In the days of these great men and women of God or true spiritual fathers and mothers of the early church, no one was considered saved and safe until they have received the LORD and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit; what they called the gift of the Spirit.
In the beginning, the Church started in an apostolic and prophetic strength created by the Holy Ghost in what we know today as Pentecostal movements. If you are really part of the Church, you will not be different. It’s my prayer that God restore these dimensions to every life on the face of the earth in Jesus precious name.
Now, talking about restoration, we are in a season of restoration – full restoration as the LORD. Like we shared yesterday, if we do not apply our hearts unto the wisdom that will allow a word of prophecy we have received from God come to pass, we will never see the word come to pass in our lives.
That is why as soon as God give you a word, go study, listen and find out all about that word, so that you will increase in knowledge and allow the word to come to pass. The Bible says, a wise man will hear and Increase knowledge.
THE PURPOSE OF HEARING IS TO INCREASE IN KNOWLEDGE.
In God’s kingdom, we increase in knowledge to know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding, to receive the instruction of wisdom, Justice, judgment, and equity. In the secular world, Education has a way of giving you an advantage over others in life. The same is applicable in the kingdom.
Increasing in the knowledge of God will give you an advantage over those who may have been schooled either in the things of men or devils. One may wonder if humans school themselves in the things of devils. Of course some do! Sadly, even in church. Most know more about the names of evil spirits than the names of our GOD in some crowds called church.
They know more of the Bible describes as the depths of Satan than the depths of our God. Jesus said in the book of Revelation that He will remove burdens from those who do not have the depths of Satan.
Meaning those who do will never be free from burdens. That is why they move from one yoke to another, one disease to another, one failure to another failure, one sin to another sin, always carrying on their lives things witches, wizards and devils are constantly doing.
We were designed to know God not devils. We stir up His jealousy to consume each time we get schooling ourselves in the things of devils. Let me say again, I have never seen any who school themselves in the things of Satan living a peaceful life. That is the wrong way to obtain freedom.
Learning about curses, evil altar, evil pattern, queen of Heaven and all that will never bring you freedom. What will bring you freedom is the truth, knowing the truth. The truth is a person; His name is Jesus. The Bible says He is the way, the TRUTH and the life.
KNOWING HIM INCREASES OUR KNOWLEDGE BUT KNOWING HIM INTIMATELY BRINGS FREEDOM.
When we delve into the knowledge of Satan, we give God’s glory, which we are, to another. God said in His word,
“I am the Lord, that is My name; and My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images.”
Isaiah 42:8 NKJV
God will not share the glory of being known intimately by us with any other being. That is why Jesus does not take away the burdens of those who are being schooled in the things of Satan, and walking in the intimate knowledge of what he does. The Bible says we should not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy. It did not say we should not be ignorant of the depths of Satan.
I am yet to see a man or woman schooled in the depths of Satan having rest from, Satan or his demons. But I have always seen people who sat down to be taught the depths of GOD standing in great glory because of what they know and coming out of every captivity of Satan.
In the spirit realm, the presence of the being whose revelation knowledge or depths you know will cover your life. If you have that of Satan, his presence will cover your life, and if you have that of God, His presence will cover your life.
When the presence of GOD covers your life, He will give you peace. But when the presence of Satan covers your life, it will be doing three basic things; it will be killing, stealing from you, and destroying you or yours, even when it appears to be helping. That is why those who learn about him do not have rest!
Every deliverance minister I have seen who teaches about Satan and his works is always in what they call warfare prayers. They do not know how to pray any other prayers apart from what they call warfare due to the presence of Satan that cast its shadow on them. They are always fighting and not having total victory, which is a correctional judgment from God.
You may never understand this until you read 2 Thessalonians 2:7-11. God gives over people who do not have love for truth to themselves to believe the lie. The lie will open their lives over to the activities of the father of lies, the devil, leading to constant spiritual warfare.
WHEN GOD IS NOT PLEASED WITH A MAN HE WILL GIVE HIM OVER TO HIS ENEMIES.
When God is pleased with a man, He will make sure His enemies do not prevail against him. He will make sure the man does not fall helplessly before his enemies. That is the heritage we share in Christ.
Few years back, I stumble into a story of a deliverance pastor in Nigeria who was good at going to people’s villages to uproot charms and what they call evil altars. He was an instructor in the things of Satan. He knew the names of all kinds of devils and what they do.
He was filled with the depths of Satan that people call revelation whenever he stands before them to speak. So, there was this day that he was returning from what they call a deliverance ministration. He followed a particular family home to uproot a shrine. On his way back he had a terrible accident and lost his leg.
Sadly, when the family heard about the ordeal, they said that was a sign that those he went to pray for were really delivered. But the Bible says we shall trade upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy that nothing shall by any means hurt us.
But this man was hurt, he was hurt because God will not fight for people with intimate knowledge of the depths of Satan. His glory will not defend them in any battle.
In erroneous deliverance circles like theirs, Christians believe that when you have a terrible attack after what they call warfare sessions, it’s a sign that you really touched the enemy. But like we shared earlier, Jesus says we shall trade upon serpents and scorpions, and nothing shall by any means touch us! If something is touching us, it’s a sign that we are not in his will or ways!
Knowing about the devil basically to cast him out of people and places is destructive. I have come to discover that it is not what you know about the devil that will cast him out from people and places. It is the Glory of God in your life that will cast him and all his evil works and workers out of people and places.
TO OBTAIN PERSONAL DELIVERANCE THEREFORE, YOU MUST BECOME PART OF THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW THEIR GOD.
You must become one of those who seek the knowledge of the glory of the LORD and have it all over your soul and spirit like the waters cover the sea. It is the knowledge of the glory of the LORD in your life that will cast the enemy and all he does out of your life because he and all his evil workers cannot stand the glory of the LORD. The Bible says,
“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”
Habakkuk 2:14 NKJV
As we bring this to a close, understand that in the Spirit realm, it is the knowledge of the Glory of the LORD that unleashes the moves of God in a man’s life not the knowledge of His problems or enemies!
The Bible made it clear that they that know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits. The exploits are usually sourced or activated by the revelation of the glory of God within their spirits, giving them rest from their enemies, and freedom from the days of adversity. The Bible says:
“Blessed is the man whom you instruct, O Lord, and teach out of Your law, that You may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked”
Psalms 94:12-13 NKJV.
This scripture contains a secret that many in the Church do not see. If we can be taught the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, which is the true wisdom of God, the enemy will not be a thing of concern in our lives. God will be given all the attention He deserves in our lives, and the devil will be so ignored that he will pack himself and all his devils and leave our lives.
Clearly, the most effective way to dig pits for our enemies is not always to pray against them but to sit down and be instructed in the things of God or be schooled by the LORD Himself! Those who are schooled by the LORD will never be defeated by their enemies.
The Bible says,
“Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them”.
Luke 5:17 NKJV
From this scripture we can see that while we sit down to be taught by the LORD, portals of Heaven will be opening over us, angels will be ascending and descending in our space, bringing blessings down and taking burdens away, pits will be dug for the wicked, and amazing freedom, peace, miracles and other outbreaks of good will begin to take place in our lives.
Above all, the power of God will be present to heal. Hallelujah! Amen and amen. So, let’s all choose to be Mary and not Martha.

But Martha [overly occupied and too busy] was distracted with much serving; and she came up to Him and said, Lord, is it nothing to You that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me [to lend a hand and do her part along with me]!
But the Lord replied to her by saying, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; there is need of only one or but a few things. Mary has chosen the good portion [that which is to her advantage], which shall not be taken away from her.
