THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 22ND FEBRUARY 2026)

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”

“Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.”

Psalms 32:8-9 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 53RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY

Welcome to another glorious day from Heaven. Today we are assembling for corporate worship as the body of Christ. I hope you will be there too. The Bible says the scepter shall not depart from Judah until Shiloh comes; unto Him shall the gathering of the people be.

Shiloh has come; His name is Jesus Christ. Today we are going to gather unto Him for worship fulfilling that scripture. We believe the blessing of the LORD that makes rich and adds no sorrow, the blessed Holy Spirit will be with us to speak comfort, edification and exhortation to us.

In our devotional today, we will be looking at critical matters of divine destiny, the role of communication in the release of our destinies as sons of God. The kingdom of Heaven carries out its activities on earth as the kingdom of God through divine communication systems.

The system is full of supernatural tongues, languages, signs and wonders that brings divinely classified messages from God’s throne to us.

Understand that there can be no knowledge of a man’s destiny without communication, and there can be no accurate release of a man’s destiny without communication. That is why if you are not hearing from God, through any of His communication systems, you will never come into the realm where your destiny can be released.

The greatest cause of spiritual backwardness and stagnancy is not hearing or receiving from God. A Christian life that does not receive clear communication from Heaven, either through sound teaching, sound preaching, visions of God’s glory etc. will never know progress.

IT WAS DIVINE COMMUNICATION THAT HELPED ADAM TO KNOW HIS ASSIGNMENT IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN.

When it came to his marital destiny, it was an internal communication system that enabled him to know who the creature God made from his ribs was, and how her destiny connects him. You will need the same communication system to know things that are related to your destiny.

If there is no divine communication, there will be no way we can come into God’s plans and purposes for our lives.

Without divine communication Abraham would not have moved from his father’s land to the place God wanted him to be. In the same way, you will not need just reasoning to move from where you think you ought to be, to where God really wants you to be.

You will need strong, effective and genuine communication from GOD.

Many believers are operating at a very low level in their faith. Their spiritual communication levels are very poor because they come from carnal sources. They will see visions and revelations from their carnal nature, spice with some religious ingredients, and begin to live their days, accordingly, calling it God’s will for their lives.

Many have married that way, joined churches that way, pursued careers that way, and invested their lives in prophecies that came that way, only to be humiliated by the test of life that comes, to expose the delusion and transmit a shocking discovery that God was not part of it from the onset. A discovery that they just made it up.

So many of us are not born of the Spirit yet, we just move at the level of emotions, hear from our human intelligence, scoop from fragments of things residing in our memory, and then come up with critical decisions rooted in the sanctified sands our own self gave us, calling it God. However, when the storm of life comes to test it, what we built on such “thus says the LORD” will come down crumbling, with no help from the LORD.

OUR BIBLE FATHERS HAD GOOD SPIRITUAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS THAT BROUGHT THE MESSAGES THEY RECEIVED FROM THE THRONE ROOM OF GOD.

That is why we still get inspired by their walk with the LORD each time we read about them. From the book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation, the Bible is full of truths of how divine communication helped our fathers to become what they became. Moses was in the back side of the desert, living the life of a Shepherd unto the divine communication that changed him into a lethal warrior of God came.

The Bible says:

“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”

“So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”

Then He said, “Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.” Moreover He said, “I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.

So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.

Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”

Exodus 3:1-10 NKJV

This scripture presents one of the many divine communication moments our Bible fathers had in their days.

THESE ARE THE VERY COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS GOD CREATED AND MADE AVAILABLE FOR HIS OWN.

If you really want to hear from God, you must move from the shallow places of our carnal nature to the deeper places of the Spirit, because that is where true communication from GOD is caught. That is where to truly hear God or come into accurate visionary experiences.

Anything outside that, will be facts and figures from the evil one that may be correct in some instances, but only create crisis, conflict and bitterness. No edification of any kind.

As we bring this to a close, understand that God’s communication system has tongues and languages we must come into as His sons. For instance, there are tongues of men and angels and languages of the Spirit. We must become familiar with them. Our devotional text says:

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”

“Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.”

Psalms 32:8-9 NKJV

If we choose not to be like the mule or horse, God will not use the bridle of crisis to lead us. He will use sweet communication systems to speak to us. He will be instructing us calmly and moving us from where we are to where He wants us to be.

He will speak to us in tongues of men and angels and in dreams and visions. There are times He will speak in several other spiritual tongues and ways unknown to other men. But whatever He might say will be consistent with the core truth of the New Testament.
It’s a new day for you!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY;

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.

Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

Your descendants also would have been like the sand, and the offspring of your body like the grains of sand; His name would not have been cut off nor destroyed from before Me.”

Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! With a voice of singing, declare, proclaim this, utter it to the end of the earth; Say, “The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob!”

Isaiah 48:17-20 NKJV
