THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (SATURDAY 28TH FEBRUARY 2026)

“Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.”

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.”

“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”

Matthew 10:27-31 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 59TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY

For 59 days of this year, especially during the 40 days of the blessing, we have seen God watch over us, provided for us, protected us, given us revelation knowledge of eternal things and set His eyes upon us! He has defeated our enemies, plagued those who hated us and beaten our foes before our faces.

It’s been from one strategic victory to another, and with this kind of God, we have not seen anything yet. He has a history of overflowing kindness, goodness and mercy. If this is true of your life, can you give Him a mighty shout of praise!

This shout is not a hype but a weapon of war. In the Kingdom of God, most of the ‘insane’ things we do are weapons of war. Our clap, our feet on the floor, our knees down in prayer, and our shout.

They are all weapons of war!! Joshua shouted first before the walls collapsed. We shout sometimes because the walls are down, other times we shout for the walls to be down.

I reiterate again that there are some of us that will shout because the walls collapse, and there are some of us that will shout in faith before they collapse. So, whichever breakthrough point you will shout from, something significant will definitely happen in the spirit realm in the name of Jesus Christ.

Now shout!!!!!!!!

There is a devotional I first published 11 years ago that I want us to revisit this morning. It was a season that we were looking at the things that our divine destinies will need from Heaven to be fulfilled on earth. We discovered that we would need divine protection for our divine destinies to be fulfilled.

A man of destiny who is not protected by the LORD will be a man of unending sorrow and grieve, one who will die in his prime and never come into the full moon of their prophetic destiny.

YES, THERE IS THE FULL MOON OF A MAN’S PROPHETIC DESTINY.

Jesus got there and brought the entire principalities and powers down and then secured a name that is above every other name, a name that things in Heaven, things on earth and things under the earth bows to. It is the full moon of our prophetic destiny that Satan fears. He can keep you in the half moon or the no moon at all and give you anything earthly pleasure or riches for you to remain there.

The full moon of a believer’s prophetic destiny is a destiny season that makes the person a part of the dreaded man child of the book of revelation, a child that is destined conquer all for the kingdom of God. Hallelujah!!

Becoming part of that man child is what Satan fears most about us, but what God expects of us all, that is why He protects us and guides us in ways we should go.

The devotional that day was short but very explosive. It was full of thought provoking and faith, implanting lines of wisdom from the Head office, and is still full of that. Let us meditate on it, precept upon precept, as we draw water from the well this well of Salvation.

To start with, understand that all through the Holy Bible, from book to book, you see divine protection expressed in the lives of Bible men and women who walked with the LORD. We all see that if divine protection is not added to our divine destiny, we may have all other things right, but we will not live long enough to unleash our destiny.

It is divine protection that keeps a man or woman of destiny long enough to finish God’s will for his life. You see that in the life of David. You see God protecting him from Saul and all his enemies basically to enable him to unleash his divine destiny. You see God making sure that even when he was battle wearied, his enemies did not prevail against him.

DIVINE PROTECTION IS WHAT MAKES US LIVE LONGER THAN ANYTHING THAT MOVES AGAINST US.

It may knock us down but can never knock us out. You see that all through the life of David. The same can be seen in the life of Paul the apostle; He went through so much that ordinarily he should have died in few months after accepting Christ.

The first year he opened his mouth to preach, the Jews stoned him to ‘death.’ The Bible says:

“Then Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there; and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead.”

“However, when the disciples gathered around him, he rose up and went into the city. And the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.”

Acts 14:19-20 NKJV

It takes divine protection to be stoned and left for dead and then rise to go back into the same City you were stoned to continue what you were doing before the stones came. It takes divine protection to be so treated and still have the life in you to travel to another city without being admitted in the Hospital for recovery.

Friend, if GOD had not divinely protected Paul and the rest of the disciples, I do not think the gospel would have gotten to us. The dragon really tried to devour them, but God protected them.

Without divine protection no divine destiny can be fulfilled. When God gives you a destiny to pursue, God will assign angels to protect you. When God give you an assignment to do, the Holy Ghost will be assigned to both empower and protect you to do it.

If you see yourself causing ripples in the camp of the enemy because you are doing a Holy Ghost empowered service in the kingdom, do not fear what may happen to you.

EXCEPT IT IS THEIR TIME TO GO HOME, GOD WILL NEVER ALLOW HIS VESSELS TO BE DESTROYED BY THE EVIL FORCES HE ANOINTED THEM TO DESTROY.

He said through Isaiah:

“Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’ concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread.”

“He will be as a sanctuary, but a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel, as a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem”

Isaiah 8:12-14 NKJV

The same Spirit that is empowering you to do those things is also protecting you at the same time from any harm that will come from doing those things. That is why you read Jesus telling us;

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Luke 10:19 NKJV

If the Holy Ghost uses you to trample on serpents and scorpions or step on toes that are destroying his work, he will make sure that nothing by any means hurt you thereafter. The Holy Ghost does not empower a man to do a thing then abandons Him when the repercussions come from hell.

He is not a man that abandons his partner when the heat becomes hot! Except they grieve Him, the Holy Spirit sticks to His human partners to protect them from the backlash of the enemy after using them to do a work for God. That is why a major highlight in our devotional text this morning says:

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.”

“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”

Fear will cripple the hand of the LORD and hinder us from experiencing God’s protection over our lives. But faith will launch us into the realm of glory where God’s protection exists! That is why the Holy Ghost always tells His human partners, “Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be afraid for I am your God.”

What is the message of our devotional this morning? Your divine destiny will need divine protection to be unleashed. It will not need human protection except the human protection built around you by the LORD!

If the LORD called you to do anything for Him or with Him, fix your heart on His word of protection for your life, and go on doing the things He has called or assigned you to do; do not turn to the right or the left. Keep your consecration intact, even if you are during charging bears and roaring lions, God’s protection will keep you beyond the reach of evil men and women! AMEN!!

God bless you dearly and stay strong in the LORD! See you in the next month!!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR TODAY;

“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

Genesis 28:15 NKJV
