TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 1ST MARCH 2026)
“The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him. I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him.”
Psalms 89:22-23 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 60TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY
We give GOD the glory for His marvelous deeds in our lives. Today is the first day of another month, the 3rd month of our year of strategic victories.
We have no one else to thank than the creator of Heaven and Earth, who stepped down and manifested as Jesus Christ, died on the cross and set us free from eternal damnation; only He kept us alive and brough us to this month. He is the only living God. The one and only true God who never lies, sleeps or slumber. Our all in all!!
Our praise belongs to Him. We thank Him for the breath in our nostrils, the air in our lungs, the blood in our veins and the life within us. We thank Him for all He has been doing in us. It is the things He has been doing for us that have been keeping us. If those things were not there, there would have been no us.
One of them is the invisible battles He fights on our behalf. He said in His words:
“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.”
2 Chronicles 20:17 NKJV
This scripture has been true in our lives. He has been fighting our battles, by showing us how and where to position, and we have been picking the victories. Our job has been proper positioning, while his job has been strategic victories, both day and night.
Indeed, if it had not been the LORD who has on our side, the waters, the floods and the winds of the enemy would have uprooted and cast us away from the land of the living. Blessed be the LORD who has not given us as prey to their teeth. Amen and amen
IT IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH. IT PLEASES THE LORD THAT WE LOOK AT MATTERS OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE!
You see, spiritual warfare is inevitable. It is a warfare that began before Mankind was created. It may interest you to know that we were created and placed on an earth that was already a battlefield. That was why God planted a garden called the garden of Eden to hide us there.
He never wanted us to be bothered by the warfare going on, hence making His glory our dwelling place.
God’s will then, was for us not to be part of the war at all because we were not there when it all started. But after the fall and subsequent expulsion from the garden of Eden, mankind became part of the warfare on earth. Today you find people who are fighting either on the devil’s side or on God’s side.
God’s will then, was for us not to be part of the war, but His will now is for us not to be defeated by the enemy. His will is that the enemy that was defeated in the eternal past and later on the cross of calvary, remains defeated in our lives. However, if the enemy outwits us in battle, this beautiful will of God will not come to pass.
We will rather be in trouble and defeated into a life of sin, pain, eternal judgment and so much because spiritual warfare is a battle of wits, and many do not know that.
They think it’s a matter of fasting and praying aimlessly. No, it’s a battle of wits, even if we have to fast or pray, it must promote our spiritual wits. When we say wits, we are referring to intelligence, common sense, understanding, and the use of the head or mind to make way.
In spiritual warfare, it is those who use their Holy Ghost filled head that goes ahead in life. Those whose heads are not filled with the Holy Ghost, or who may be filled with Him but do not engage their heads in strategic spiritual thinking or decision making, will never be ahead of their enemies in life.
THE ENEMY WILL OUTWIT WHOEVER DOES NOT HAVE A HOLY GHOST MINDSET TO PUT TO USE IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE.
The dictionary defined the word “OUTWIT” to mean “to get the better of by superior intelligence.” In the context of our devotional today, when the enemy gets the better of you by superior intelligence, he has outwitted you. Believe it or not, that is what is happening to so many Christians today – the devil getting a better of them by superior intelligence.
It is a new month, God wants you to walk in victory, but you must know how that victory comes. It comes when the enemy does not get a better of you by superior intelligence.
Again, the enemy has gotten a better of many of us by superior intelligence. He will use or twist the teachings of grace that allows sin to reign supreme in our life just to keep us filthy enough to be perpetually oppressed, sick, and depressed by his demons, or to remain heaven unworthy but calling ourselves saved or born again.
He knows his activities only prevail where the glory of GOD does not dwell, and that the glory and sin do not coexist. So, he may even keep you anointed, but in a life of sin that you take as a weakness so that he stays with you in spite of your anointing and take you to hell despite the manifestation of the supernatural in or through you (Read Matthew 7:21-23). That is superior intelligence.
Sadly, many do not know that one can be anointed and still live in sin, consequently, taking the presence of the anointing as a divine mercy that shows understanding or gives them support, or ignores their sinful lifestyles. But God does not have a history of ignoring sinful lifestyles. He confronts it.
IF THE DEVIL OUTWITS US IN BATTLE, WE WILL NOT SEE THE LACK OF REBUKE FROM GOD AS A TERRIBLE SPIRITUAL DISASTER (READ HEBREWS 12:8).
For some, the enemy has successfully used Romans 8:1-2 the way he unsuccessfully used a part of Psalm 91 on Jesus, to get a better of them, or outwit them in our battle against sinful living, by telling them “there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” without adding “who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit” to keep them moving from sin to sin and seeing nothing wrong with it, or perceiving the danger that lies ahead of them.
Satan’s superior intelligence can network with our flesh to get a better of us any day, that is why the flesh must be crucified and not allowed to lead or influence you in any way. It is when he networks with our flesh to feed it with what it wants that we quotes scriptures in half to justify any sinful lives that spring out of it.
Friend, whenever you see a Christian or preacher quoting this scripture halfway, you have seen a man or woman living in secret sins.
A pastor once used this half-quoted scripture to keep a lady he was not married to in sexual sin for a long time. It is common knowledge that all the perverted grace preachers who quote the portion of Romans 8:1-2 that suits them and leave the rest, are living in sin. The enemy outwitted them in battle. But our devotional text this morning says:
“The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him. I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him.” Hallelujah!
That is our heritage. You must come into this spiritual heritage site. You must walk in light, walk in love, and walk in truth to have superior intelligence over the enemy, and allow God to beat Him before your face the way He did for those who were here before us. God does not want the enemy to outwit us in spiritual warfare this month, hence sending this word.
If we allow the enemy to outwit us in the battles of life, it will open the door for every son of wickedness to afflict us. Wherever a son of wickedness is successfully afflicting you, the enemy has outwitted you in the battle of that area of life. It’s a sign that you lack wits in the Spirit in that area, be it the area of consecration, purity, finance, or marriage.
You will need to attend the “School of the Spirit” or “God’s School of Hard things” depending on His sovereign will, to gain wits in the Spirit. Understand that only those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. Those who do not know him shall be weak and exploited. Those who are foolish shall be exploited. But any of these schools will help you to know God closely enough not to e weak or foolish.
As you embrace the new month, may this devotional be a guiding light for you. May you walk in victory. May the enemy not outsit you in battle. Amen.
