THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (MONDAY 16TH MARCH 2026)

“Deliver my life from the sword, my dear life [my only one] from the power of the dog [the agent of execution].

Save me from the lion’s mouth; for you have answered me [kindly] from the horns of the wild oxen. I will declare your name to my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise you.

Psalm 22:20-22 AMP

WELCOME TO THE 75TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY

It pleases the LORD to keep us alive to see another day of a new week. This is the day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it.

For the believer in Christ Jesus, God broke the process of time into weeks so that we can plan our days properly and assemble weekly for corporate worship. The plan is very useful in our worship. It helps us to plan our prayer and fasting timelines and the things we do to execute the great commission.

It also helps us plan effective response to His Holy Spirit.

God’s seven-day system was created in eternity and assembled in time. His divine days are made up of seven, His prophetic days made up of seven, and the natural days He gave us are made up of seven. While our seven natural days have come to an end repeatedly for six to seven thousand years, His divine and prophetic days have not.

In fact, one thousand years from our natural days, a space of time made of thousands of days, equals one prophetic day of God. That should tell you how long His divine days are. They are eternal or timeless.

God’s plans for our lives a measured according to prophetic days.
But their execution are measured according to natural days. That is why the Bible teaches that we number our days (natural days), so that we apply our hearts unto wisdom. That primarily refers to the wisdom of God’s prophetic days. You find that in the lives and times of the nation of Israel of Bible times.

If you fully understand the mystery of God’s prophetic day, you can tell what He wants you to do with your life. Yes, you can tell the destiny He wants you to pursue and the things He has predetermined for you to live your natural days for.

THE REVELATION OF GOD’S PROPHETIC DAYS IS KEY TO UNLOCKING A MAN’S DESTINY IN TIME

If you are one of the sons of Issacchar, you can tell where the Church is, and where most denominations are in God’s scheme of things looking at the revelation of God’s prophetic days. You can tell who has missed it and who has not. You can also tell the distances we are yet to cover, as the body of Christ, in our walk with the LORD.

There is so much you can talk about God, His church, His redemptive moves and His plans and purposes for your life if you walk in the light of the revelation of God’s prophetic days. That is why the enemy has allowed preachers to veered into teachings that are just money making and not destiny molding.

It’s sad that many of us in ministry know nothing about the revelation of God’s prophetic days. Yet it is in the Bible!!

I hope those few lines on the mystery of time were helpful. Now to our subject of the day. God has been speaking to us about the prophetic purpose of our mouths and how not to use our lips. He has made it clear that destinies are either made or destroyed by mouths.

Yes, we now know that the difference between war and peace lies in what comes out of the mouth. For instance, your mouth played a major role in where you are today in life. Let me show you few of the many things I have come to learn about the mouth.

1. If you do not guard or control what comes out of your mouth, you will live a miserable life on earth. Most people we say are cursed are not really cursed by the external but the internal. Their mouth is their ruin, that is why they cannot be delivered.

2. YOUR MOUTH WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR EITHER YOUR SUCCESS OR FAILURE IN GOD’S PLANS FOR YOUR LIFE.

3. Sometimes it is important to stop your own mouth if you want to succeed in the will of God not the mouth of others. If you do not stop a mouth that causes ruin, it will stop a destiny from being fulfilled. The psalmist said, “…I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.” (Psalm 17:3 AMP) The transgression of the mouth is the reason for the backwardness of many!

4. The difference between peaceful homes and troubled ones lies in what comes out of the mouth. 90 percent of what we call domestic violence is precipitated by what comes out of the mouth. If you cultivate a peaceful mouth, you will have a peaceful married life.

5. There are preachers whose mouths must be stopped. That is what Titus 1:10-11 tells us. We have shared that previously. The mouth of an erroneous preacher or prophet will destroy you, and that is where we want to finalize this talk on the mouth.

In the book of Revelation 16:13 we are told that unclean spirits, in form of frogs, do come out of the mouth of false prophets wherever they speak. That is why it is dangerous to listen to false prophets and heretic teachers.

It is very dangerous, especially eternally, if you sit under false prophets or heretic teachers; people who steal to preach or who have no spirit of Truth in their hearts, and doctrine of Christ in their lips and lives.

If you give your life to a mouth that is speaking what may be working miracles in your life but not rooted in the Spirit of truth, you will be consumed by unclean spirits.

As you pass through this day, and for the rest of your years on earth, note the mouths that must be stopped and avoid them. That would save you from the mouths of lions. Submit to the Spirit of Truth to guide your heart and guard your life from mouths that consume in Jesus precious name! Amen.

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!!
