TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 29TH MARCH 2026)
“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;”
“Moreover by them your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.” Psalm 19:7-8, 11. NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 88TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY
It is the first day of another week and it please the LORD that we gather in corporate fellowship to celebrate the strategic victory the resurrection of the LORD brought to humanity. I hope you will find a Bible teaching, not Just believing Church, to join and have time with the LORD this morning.
If you have none then join us today at the Cry of the Spirit Sanctuary.
As the LORD will have it, this week we are celebrating the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Some call it Easter and others call it Passover. We may call it either of these names, our focus is on the impact of what the LORD did. Starting from the 2nd to the 5th of April this week, we will be having our 2026 Resurrection and Life Apostolic Conference.
We will be teaching under God, the Seven classes of eternal life. This is a revelation that every believer on the face of the earth must have.
Many are of us Christians have not realized that Jesus said there will be believers in hell. We do not read those portions of the Bible even if the preachers hides it from us in the greed. We do not study the scriptures by ourselves to find that out.
This meeting is to show us, each believer in Christ, where they are in our walk with the LORD, and where we ought to be in this terminal generation. We will also be looking at the eternal verdict of the LORD for believers in each class of eternal life. Do not miss this!!!
Today, we will be building on the devotional text of yesterday. It says:
“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;”
“Moreover, by them your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.” Psalm 19:7-8, 11. NKJV
THERE IS SO MUCH TO GLEAN FROM THIS SCRIPTURE. WE GLEANED SOME TRUTHS YESTERDAY AND WILL BE GLEANING SOME MORE TODAY.
All these scriptural verses will bless your soul if they meditate on them. One of the verses tells us where servants of God should take their warnings from. It says, “by them your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.”
The message here is, we should take our warnings from the Bible. It did not say we should take them from dreams, except if they are prophetic dreams, or from some prophets and all that, except if they are teaching prophets.
It says we should take our warnings from the law or WORD of the LORD, the Holy Scriptures.
There is no book of the Bible that has no warning from the LORD. From warnings about approaching judgments, to warnings about entering wrong marriages, to warnings of what will happen if we do not fully follow the LORD to all kinds. If we allow the word of the LORD in the Bible to warn us, and keep the ways of the LORD it teaches, the Bible says there is great reward.
The rewards manifest as eternal and earthly blessings.
The rewards are, walking in power, experiencing God’s kingdom and glory, having a very good marriage, building a peaceful home, having well behave children, living a progressive economic life, having a beautiful future, great health, and amazing victories in the day of adversity, experiencing the outbreaks of God in your life, breakthroughs whenever and wherever we need them, and eternal rest with Christ.
All these comes as a reward for keeping the laws or word of the LORD. This means if our lives look less than these things, either in time or eternity, we are not living or we did not live our days keeping God’s word. But there is more truth to glean from these beautiful scriptures.
Another line speaks of “The law of the LORD” “the statutes of the LORD” and “The commandments of the LORD.”
THE LAW OF THE LORD, HIS STATUTES AND COMMANDMENTS ARE PERFECT, RIGHT AND PURE.
Like we saw yesterday, they convert the soul, rejoice our hearts, and enlighten the eyes. Meaning we cannot live a perfect life in a chaotic and immoral world until we are impacted by the laws, statutes or commandments of the LORD!! They are the source of true light in a morally dark world for the Child of God.
They have divine capacity to protect us from harm and deliver us from evil. They transmit a kind of joy to us that keeps us happy even in very sad situations. Sadly, in some quarters, prayer has been lifted above the sound teachings of the law, statues and commandments of the LORD, taking away the impact that prayers should have brought to the believers.
It is my prayer that we allow God’s vision for our lives to be fulfilled, that we allow His commandments, statutes and laws guide us.
We are going to close today’s word with a beautiful statute God gave to Israel to help them move from the declaration of their blessings to the manifestation. It is the same law or rule we are to follow. It is a statute in God’s kingdom.
Statutes are written laws passed by a legislative body that commands, prohibits, or declare policy. They are the primary source of laws. They must comply with the constitution. In the kingdom of God statutes are the source of the decrees of the watchers and sentences of the Holy ones.
They are God’s word and do not go against his will. One of the statues in the scriptures says, “Mankind shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceed from the mouth of God” (Deuteronomy 8:3).
In my opinion, this is the first and most important statute in God’s kingdom because it covers matters of doctrine. It is through it that God’s laws, precepts, and kingdom patterns are known.
Also, because it sets the things rolling and determines everything in the Kingdom of God that we all should belong. It is what the LORD feeds us with, that makes us what He created us to be. What you feed your spirit with, must be the word of the LORD. If you feed it with other things, your life will go contrary.
Yes, mankind suffer what we suffer because we do not keep this statute God made to govern our existence. We do not feed our spirits and live by what comes out of the mouth of God.
WE FEED OUR SPIRITS AND LIVE BY WHAT COMES OUT OF OTHER SOURCES.
For example, many feed on the headline news, secular humanism, self-help knowledge, the social media, the words of the aggrieved etc. They feed on them until evil spirits act on those things and use them to influence them in making decisions that creates destruction.
On this side of eternity, what we feed our spirits with is what determines how our lives turn out. Until we change our spiritual diet, we will not be able to stop what the enemy may be doing in our lives.
The natural importance of good food is a revelation of the spiritual importance of feeding on what comes out of the mouth of God. So, if you want to change your life into what God created it to be, change what you feed your spirit with. Feed it with the word of the LORD and you will see the difference.
Sometimes when God want to change your life, He will not give you a prayer warrior. He will give you a fresh preacher to feed you spiritually. He will give you a preacher after His heart for you to commit your time, treasures and talent to, for your spiritual feeding.
If that person shows up in your life and you do not commit, your life will keep going in a circle. He said to us in His word (Jeremiah 3:15-16) I will give you pastors after my heart who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. He did not say He will give us spiritual leaders who will pray for us, as important as they are. He said He will give us spiritual leaders who will feed us.
That stresses the truth that lack of proper spiritual food is the reason for the woes of mankind.
As you embrace this day, do not forget that a healthy and proper spiritual feeding is the seed for a healthy spiritual and natural progressive life. You will never be free from any crisis until you are fed.
Spiritual feeding remains the eternal key to spiritual freedom. Amen!!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY
“But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'” Luke 4:4 NKJV
