TODAY’S DEVOTION (WEDNESDAY 01ST April 2026)
“But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? Matthew 12:25-26 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 90th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY
Today is the beginning of another set of days from the LORD. He has kept us for 90 days. To Him be the glory. For the year 2026, this month will be our Passover month (or Easter). This is the month set aside for the traditional remembrance of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ by most of the Christian community.
It is a month of remembering how the wisdom of God smashed the hierarchy of darkness and delivered us from bondage. The wisdom of death, burial and resurrection.
It tells us the eternal process of redemption and all restorations. To be redeemed and restored, we must all apply the principle. There is something about us that must die, and get buried, for God to bring forth something new or resurrect that which we desire. It is the wisdom of death, burial and resurrection.
The Bible calls it the hidden wisdom of God which none of the rulers of this world knows. It says if they had known, they would not have crucified the LORD. They would have known there would be resurrection and that all about them would come to an end. But they did not know. Here is the scripture:
“However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1st Corinthians 2:6-9 NKJV
God’s way of bringing out things that eyes has not seen, ears heard or hearts conceived from eternity to time, is in the wisdom of death, burial and resurrection. Yes, His way of bringing forth a glorious future for the righteous is through the principle of death, burial and resurrection.
WHERE THE PRINCIPLE IS NOT RESPECTED, PEOPLE’S LIVES WILL REMAIN THE SAME. THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO GREAT THINGS WITH GOD!!
Some will not even be able to start a journey with God. Others will not be able to step into their callings. They will just remain small or be running after established preachers to collect their anointing. There will be no meaningful sacrifice for the greater good of the kingdom of God.
But our Bible fathers where different. If you read the stories of the men and women in the book of Hebrews 11, you will see how this principle (of death, burial and resurrection) took them from where God met them to where He pre planned for them. They started weak, small, and like men who were perishing, but ended up living and dying like warriors of righteousness.
They died to fear, sin, iniquity, trespass, the cares of this world and all the pleasures in it, and buried all the carnality, greed, covetousness and ungodly tendencies that would have destroyed their destinies.
Paul himself said, “I die daily… I put my body under so that when I have preached to others, I will not be a cast away. He was a man who understood how to die to things, get buried in God, and resurrect in glory. If we embrace this wisdom like he and others did, we will have the glorious results he and others had in their times.
When the three Hebrew boys stood before King Nebuchadnezzar and said they will not bow to him, demonstrating faith in God, they were applying this principle.
THEY KNEW IF THEY DIE TO THE DESIRE TO SAVE THEIR LIVES, THEY WILL GET IT BACK THROUGH THIS PRINCIPLE.
The Bible says:
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? ..” Matthew 16:24-26B
People who apply the principle or wisdom of death, burial and resurrection, will not seek to save their lives if it means the collapse of a kingdom agenda. They will throw caution to the wind if being cautious will undermine their relationship with the LORD.
They will tell themselves, “What shall it profit us if we gain the whole world and loose our souls?”
The three Hebrew boys would later be thrown into the burning furnace because of their desire to keep to the principle, and God would honor His word in their lives because of that.
They were not willing to save their lives at the expense of God’s kingdom, and the principles of true worship given to them to uphold. If you want to be a world changer like these boys, you must apply the wisdom of God, the wisdom of death, burial and resurrection like they did.
Jesus embraced the principle, and brough forth a redemption and blessing that eyes have not seen, ears heard, or hearts conceived.
He also got a name that is above every name, that at His name every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, things on earth and things beneath the earth, and that every mouth should confess that He is LORD.
I believe the message of today has been passed. It is a new month. It calls for fresh decisions for the blessing God has set aside for the month. I trust you have received an insight from the LORD on the decision He wants us to make this month. May you miss your destiny. Amen!!
I wish you and all that are joined to you a happy new month in Jesus precious name.
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY.
“Come now, and let us reason together, “Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword”; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” Isaiah 1:18-20 NKJV
