TODAY’S DEVOTION (MONDAY 20TH April 2026)
“But the end and culmination of all things has now come near; keep sound minded and self-restrained and alert therefore for [the practice of] prayer.
Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and disregards the offenses of others].
Practice hospitality to one another (those of the household of faith). [Be hospitable, be a lover of strangers, with brotherly affection for the unknown guests, the foreigners, the poor, and all others who come your way who are of Christ’s body.] And [in each instance] do it ungrudgingly (cordially and graciously, without complaining but as representing Him). 1 Peter 4:7-9 AMP
WELCOME TO THE 110TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY
Let me begin by thanking everyone who was part of our 12th Anniversary Apostolic Assembly, where things that are for our ears only were taught by the LORD. Ordinarily, on an Anniversary, friends and family were supposed to be invited, but the LORD wanted just us in the house with Him in this.
I want to thank all who participated and those who attend the last day, the day of the main event that saw our God anointed us with so much power, our choir and kids telling the story of the ministry in ways that create destiny rhythms for us, and the documentaries that cement it all. Then the meal. May God bless those who prepared it.
Talking about the meal, I want to apologize to all who left without taking their meals and cake.
This has never happened before in the ministry. We heard that some ushers served their friends more than once and gave them cakes more than once while some have not eaten. They did what grieves the Holy Spirit, and I don’t think He will be happy with them. We are also not happy with them and will take actions.
I promise that next time I will take measures and none will leave such a meeting without taking the cake or a meal.
Today we will be looking at the importance of being sold out to God. The most useful vessel in the hands of GOD is a human who is submissive to the will of the Holy Spirit not the will of the flesh, which is the filthiness of the spirit, the filthiness of the flesh and the carnal mind. The one who is submissive to the flesh becomes the most useful vessel in the hands of the devil. That is what God does not want any of us to be.
Anyone who is sold out to God becomes His regent on the face of the earth. But anyone who is sold out to the flesh and its filthiness, becomes an agent of the devil on the face of the earth; sometimes ignorantly.
YES, THERE ARE AGENTS OF THE DEVIL EVEN BY DEFAULT.
People he influences or sway to do certain things for him without them knowing they are being used by him. Peter was once swayed to stop Jesus from dying on the Cross, and Jesus quickly identified the force behind it and neutralized it with strong prophetic truths, that still guides us today.
Potentially, everyone is either an agent of the devil, actively or inactively, or a regent of God, actively or inactively. There is no middle ground. A regent of God will execute His will in our lives, but an agent of the devil will stop the prosperity of God’s will in our lives.
He or she will do that by executing Satan’s will in our lives.
Very few people really realize how much their lives have been badly affected by the wrong people they attached themselves to. Others see the negative effects as nothing or something manageable then ignore them to their sudden peril. They do that due to either ignorance of Bible truths on relationships, or wrong understanding of what love is.
Talking about a wrong understanding of what love is, there are scriptures on love that many of us have been reading upside down and twisting to our destruction. One of them is in our devotional text today. It says;
“Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and disregards the offenses of others].” 1 Peter 4:8 AMP
If you look at this scripture and compare it with how God, who is love Himself, treats offenders and their multitude of sin in order to keep relationship with men and angels, you will see how we have destroyed ourselves. The first angel to sin against God was Lucifer. And if you read Isaiah and Ezekiel’s account of what this fallen angel did, you will see a multitude of sin.
BUT HOW WAS GOD’S LOVE APPLIED? PERFECTLY!
You can see in scriptures that God covered the sin for a part of eternity until He could no longer cover it. It is when we get to Heaven that we will fully come to the revelation of the magnitude of what Lucifer did.
When God could no longer cover it, He commanded Michael the archangel to push him and all his co-traitors out of Heaven! That is a principle of love there – displayed for us all to see. If we apply this same principle in our relationship with people, we will not allow the devil to use wrong people to destroy us!
In simple terms, God covered Lucifer’s sin, but the fallen angel refused to accept the cover through repentance. He continued in his destructive agenda until Heaven could no longer bear it. Then he was cast out along with the angels he deceived to do the same thing.
That is why, anyone Satan fills his heart will never repent as well. You will be covering their sins, but they will be rejecting the cover through persistent unfaithfulness. At best they will be apologizing but doing nothing opposite. That is why I consider repentance as the highest form of apology.
In dealing with offenders, or disregarding their offenses, we must understand how God’s love works and walk in it. God’s love swells when it sees repentance and withdraws when it sees persistent unfaithfulness. That is why people are in hell today. If your own love withdraws when it sees repentance and swells when it sees persistent unfaithfulness, you will self-destruct.
You must be perfect in love as your Heavenly Father is. That is what the Bible teaches!!
Our love must swell when it sees repentance and withdraw when it sees persistent unfaithfulness – yes, it must withdraw to protect us because until we love ourselves, we cannot love our neighbors. Loving them will be hypocritical, foolish or self-destructive.
The Bible says, “Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins” It covers the sins of those who have truly repented, and have ceased from being wicked, but judges the sins of those who are persistent in wickedness.
If we apply love the way the Bible teaches it, we will be saved from the destructive consequence of having wrong relationships in our lives. A Samson will not love a Delilah to his destruction. A Joseph will not love a Potiphar’s wife and commit sexual sin with her and destroy his own soul.
YOU AND I WILL NOT LOVE A WRONG RELATIONSHIP AND DESTROY OURSELVES.
The price of love is seeing the multitude of a man’s sin and forgiving or disregarding them; especially when they ask for it in repentance. If they do not ask for it in repentance you forgive but withdraw from them to protect yourself.
I believe God forgave Lucifer but withdrew from him and the angels he corrupted by casting them out of Heaven because they would not repent, that is why they are in hell. God, who is love, did not keep him in his job as a covering Cherub.
He took the job away from him and gave it to us forever. I don’t see him returning it because it’s over. Lack of repentance is the greatest destroyer of God’s love for men and angels! It turned Lucifer into a destroying cherub. That is why we self-destruct if we keep the unrepentant attached to our lives.
For instance, I have seen unrepentant adulterers destroy the lives of their faithful spouses with terrible diseases, spouses who kept them despite their persistent unfaithfulness. God said marriage comes to an end when adultery set it; but these faithful spouses said marriage continued even if there is unrepentant adultery.
They did not do what God did to Lucifer. Hence struggling with diseases today! I know two who have died. It is dangerous to be more righteous than God, because He is the ultimate standard of righteousness. Only genuine repentance should keep a man or women married to an adulterous man or woman.
GOD’S LOVE STATES THAT WHEN THE PERSON REPENTS; WE FORGIVE AND KEEP THEM IN OUR HEAVEN.
But if they do not repent but only apologize and go back to it, we should forgive but cast them out of our Heaven, otherwise, we will destroy ourselves. Persistent unfaithfulness will turn the unfaithful into a destroying person; that is why we must treat them as God does!
I shared earlier that I take repentance as the highest form of apology, but it took me a long time to come to that revelation.
If you read the Bible, you will realize that repentance is indeed the highest form of apology in God’s kingdom. Whenever God sees repentance (not remorse) His love swells around an offender. I have realized that the Holy Spirit in us works the same way.
That is why I don’t understand the spirit that is working in a person who is in love with the persistently unfaithful.
Whenever someone repents of an offense they commit against me, I sense a deep love for them swelling in my spirit. I know that is not me but the Spirit of the living God in me. But when they say, “I am sorry” and go on in their wickedness, I sense a sadness in my spirit. Sometimes very strong sadness. Indeed, it is the Holy Spirit that teaches a man how to walk in God’s love.
The Bible says;
“Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:5 NKJV
Yes, I have experienced this outpouring of God’s love in my heart for offenders who truly repented of their sins. I learnt the hard way that if we do not flow with the Holy Spirit and take repentance as the highest form of apology, we will destroy ourselves by giving holy things to dogs and our peals to swine (pigs). Jesus says;
“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.” Matthew 7:6 NKJV
WHO IS THE DOG? THERE ARE TWO BIBLICAL DEFINITIONS OF DOGS. THE FIRST DESCRIBE A DOG AS A STRIVING PERSON.
The other describes a dog as one who goes back to his vomit. Jesus says we should not give holy things like marriage, beneficial relationships, or forgiving and bringing back into our arms to dogs, if we do, we will be sorry. They will trample it under their feet and turn to tear us into pieces.
Look at the many lives that have been torn into pieces by dogs and tears will come out of your eyes. The same will be done to us by swine. A swine is one who is living in sin and all kinds of terrible wickedness. He lives in sin and feeds on it. The Bible says they are not worthy of holy things.
If you are born again and Holy Spirit filled, you are God’s holy vessel. You do not give yourself to a dog or swine in marriage or any other form of relationship. They will trample your love for them under feet and turn to tear you into pieces.
The end is here. Let’s keep our hearts filled with sound wisdom from heaven on our relationship with fellow men. The best thing to possess at this end time is not a property but our souls. We should possess it in sound wisdom on relationships, self-control, and intense prayers.
Another part of our devotional text says;
“But the end and culmination of all things has now come near; … Practice hospitality to one another (those of the household of faith). [Be hospitable, be a lover of strangers, with brotherly affection for the unknown guests, the foreigners, the poor, and all others who come your way who are of Christ’s body.] And [in each instance] do it ungrudgingly (cordially and graciously, without complaining but as representing Him).
If you look at this scripture carefully, it is talking about showing great love for those who are part of the body of Christ – Not Hypocrites, false brethren and the killer men and women some believers are even married to! We must yield to the Holy Spirit and treat wrong relationships the way He wants us to treat them.
Amen!!
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.” Colossians 3:12-15 NKJV
