TODAY’S DEVOTION (WEDNESDAY 13TH May 2026)
Then God said, “Let Us make man in our image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:26-28 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 133RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORY.
Yesterday, we looked at matters of mercy and how God deals with man according to the nature of his heart.
It is the nature of a man’s heart that determines his deeds or works. Sadly, so many are ignorant of this. I have heard people who teach and preach that God does not deal with us according to the nature of our hearts – in other words according to our deeds. That He is a loving God.
But that is a lie from man’s religious impressions. It is not a Bible truth!!
If God does not deal with us according to the nature of our hearts, or according to our deeds, then why does genuine salvation give man a new heart and a new spirit? With an old and sinful heart, hell is sure. With the new heart and regenerated heart, Heaven is sure. It is as simple as that. The Bible says:
“According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries,
Recompense to His enemies; The coastlands He will fully repay.
So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:18-19 NKJV
Dealing with men according to their deeds is one way God push back evil and promote His fear in a godless age. That is what this scripture teaches, among other things. The Spirit lifts standards so that people will learn how God wants them to live their lives. He deals with people according to their deeds.
So, in His love and mercy, He would give us a new heart and a new spirit, so that our deeds will no longer be evil but good. He wants to deal with us according to good deeds not evil deeds. So, by nature and characteristics, God deals with man according to His deeds. Adam lost the garden because of what he did.
FRIEND, WHAT YOU ARE DOING, IS SHAPING WHAT GOD IS DOING WITH YOU. LET NO ONE FOOL YOU.
If God is doing nothing with you, it is because you are doing something that is making Him to do nothing with you. If God is not helping you in life, you are doing something that is keeping you far from, His helping hands. What we do shapes what He does with us.
That is the Bible truth!!
Sometimes I wonder which Bible people who preach otherwise are reading from. Maybe they do not read or study the Bible at all. They just talk about what they feel. You must not allow yourself to be fooled by these agents of Satan trying to preach the gospel of our LORD and savior Jesus Christ.
I have always said, when you see the devil preaching the love of God, just know that he is about leading you through the sweetest paths to go to hell. God deals with us according to the nature of our hearts; according to our deeds. Let no one confuse you about that, if you believe in their heresy, you will not desire a new heart and a new spirit from the LORD. Jesus Himself said;
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the City. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” Revelation 22:12-16 NKJV
He said “….and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work” How can scriptures like this be in the Bible and someone is saying God does not deal with us according to the nature of our hearts?
HE SAID, “I THE LORD SEARCHES THE HEART TO GIVE TO EVERYONE ACCORDING TO HIS WORKS” (JEREMIAH 17:10).
Indeed, Satan has ordained people to twist the ways and word of the LORD so that a lost generation will remain under the grip of sin.
It is part of the sorcery or witchcraft of the last days you must watch against or overcome. It makes you feel your sin is no longer sin, especially if it gives you pleasure. It makes you feel God is not mad at you even if you take another man’s wife or husband and make your own. That is why you see people in the choir of Churches Jesus describes as the Synagogue of Satan, taking the husbands of women in the same Church.
I was told of a church secretary who took the husband of another under the supervision of the pastor. It later led to him divorcing his ideal wife and marrying the church secretary. As sin will have it, today he is no longer married to that foolish church secretary but to another woman.
He moved from woman to woman, to woman and is still moving because he was not taught how to move from faith to faith by his so-called pastor. Churches where such things happens and the pastors does nothing are synagogues of Satan.
If we do not teach people Bible truths, if they are told God is not mad at them no matter how they live, they will not bring their sinful desires under control and lead lives that are worthy of their calling in Christ Jesus. People who preach such lies push others to live sinful lives. The Bible calls such people, including those they influence so badly, “the dogs.”
That is the word Jesus used in describing them in His word to John the Beloved. He said, “But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.”
Dogs are also a once righteous and holy people, who are no longer righteous and holy; people who have gone back to the sinful life they threw away because of Salvation. The Bible says, they are outside the city, and if they die that way Heaven will not be their home, because Heaven is the city with foundations, whose maker and builder is God.
WHAT IS THE MESSAGE OF THE LORD THIS MORNING?
The message of the LORD is simple. Good things cannot happen to us when our deeds are evil. If we sow to please the flesh, we will of the flesh reap corruption. Righteous expectations, divine promises and a lot more will fail when our deeds are sinful and ungodly. That is the message!!
Our deeds are responsible for the results in our life. If Satan blindfolds us to that, then we will become unredeemable.
The Bible truth remains, God deals with us according to our deeds, much more than according to our prayers. Yes, God deals with us according to our deeds much more than according to our prayers, that is why prayers are not answered. When prayers are not answered, deeds are hindering them from being answered because God answer to our deeds much more than He answer to our prayers.
He said in His words:
“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.” Isaiah 59:1-2 NKJV
This scripture further tells us how powerful our deeds are. But the church has emphasized less on it. It is my prayer that these words will shape our lives visions, shape the way we lead our lives, shape our decisions and choices, define our paradigms, and keep burning in our hearts, kindling the fear of the LORD in us on daily bases, in Jesus precious name. Amen and amen.
