TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (MONDAY 18th May 2026)
“Then the children of Israel moved, and camped in the plains of Moab on the side of the Jordan across from Jericho.
Now Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. And Moab was exceedingly afraid of the people because they were many, and Moab was sick with dread because of the children of Israel.” Numbers 22:1-3
WELCOME TO THE 138TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORIES!
Today we will continue with our excerpts from the book “OVERCOMING WITCHCRAFT BY THE GREATNESS OF GOD’S POWER.” There is so much we have learned so far and the LORD have been faithful to us.
Eight years ago, while preaching in a Church I was invited to speak in Nigeria, the LORD spoke to me about his sword against the Python spirit (the chief diviner people then treated as a prophet of God) in Nigeria. Sadly, at that time, the nation had played host to this spirit for too long, influencing many lost souls to accept falsehood as truth.
He said, “Nigeria will pioneer the last mass evangelism that will usher in Jesus as King of kings and LORD of LORDS but most of what is happening now is not from Me but from the python spirit.” Then He said, He will withdraw His mercies like He withdrew it from Saul, and the spirit will begin to eat its carriers the way the spirit of rebellion ate Saul.
Do not forget, Saul died in the battlefield during his days of rebellion.
Now, it was not long after I received this prophecy from the LORD, the chief sorcerer died mysteriously to the shock of many. Some of his agents in few nations also died the very month he died. This chief sorcerer is believed to be a man of God by so many people, from Nigeria to the western nations.
Till date people still adore him as one great legend of faith from Nigeria, and all those who adore him that I have checked with the Holy Scriptures, are unsaved by Bible standard of Salvation in spirit nature. You cannot be genuinely saved under the spirit of divination or preachers of errors.
YOU MAY BE MADE RICH AND GREAT, BUT YOU CANNOT BE MADE HEAVEN WORTHY. YOUR SALVATION WILL JUST BE AN ASSUMPTION.
Sadly, these breed of Christians constitute part of the believers I saw in a vision who are going to hell with their Bibles in their hands. The reason for this strong belief in him is not rooted in checking his ministry with Apostolic Truths in the Bible to see if he was of God as the Bible teaches, but it is rooted in his generosity, seeming humility and miracles, signs and wonders. The Bible says:
“Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.” 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 NKJV
This scripture contains four apostolic instructions given to the Believer. The third one teaches us not to despise prophecies or ministries, churches and mandates that appear to be of God, since that will all be prophecies, but to test them with the scripture of truth, to see if they are of God. But many do not test, they just believe them.
To test is to prove the source of a thing using the scriptures, and you must know the scriptures to be able to carry out a proper test.
Sadly, many do not know the scriptures and others do not care about carrying out the test. Some who do, carry out the tests with their minds and deep ignorance of scriptures not with apostolicity of the early church and give approval ratings that shows they have been deceived.
It’s disheartening to see that so many believers do not know about the python spirit and how it covers its ministers with a false humility and charitable acts, so that the world will see them as messiahs. The Bible spoke about the two horns of the false lamb of God, the anti-Christ in Church. It teaches that the two horns will be like the two horns of the lamb of GOD that takes away the sins of the world.
The horns of the false lamb manifest in different forms.
Most of them manifest as humility and charitable deeds especially when operating in poor regions of the world. If you use the light of the scriptures to check how they do their charitable deeds, you will see that they do their charitable deeds to announce to the world so that their identity will remain hidden.
YOU WILL NEVER FIND THEIR LEFT HAND NOT KNOWING WHAT THEIR RIGHT MAY BE DOING.
In other words, they do it to be seen by men, not really to help the poor. They do it to build a reputation they do not have. They do it to have a trumpet of generosity in their hands and in the hands of their captives or members, so they could sound. They do it to deceive. The scriptural principles for doing charitable deeds was taught to the Church by the LORD Himself. He said:
“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have no reward from your Father in heaven.
Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly. Matthew 6:1-4 NKJV
You can see from this scriptural light why they do not keep their charitable deeds secret. You can see why it is published, and widely so. You can see why it is documented and used to win more followers and entice more people into their churches. The essence is to deceive in ways that even the elects will be deceived, putting the hearts or eternal life of many in jeopardy.
Jesus says,
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:24 NKJV
IT IS BECAUSE OF THEIR SIGNS IN CHARITABLE DEEDS THAT THEY WILL DECEIVE SO MANY AND IF POSSIBLE, EVEN THE ELECT.
This is another form of witchcraft that we must overcome. Thank God it is not possible to deceive the elects of Christ, because He said, “My sheep hear my voice, the voice of a stranger they will not follow.” But there is something more to note here in that Bible prophecy. Jesus further said:
“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:22-24 NKJV
I have always said that Bible Prophecies are stronger than the prophecy of any prophet on earth. There are so many things God will do this end time because of the elects. One of them will be the shortening of the days of tribulation and hyper deception. That tells us what to expect as Children of God, especially in our days and times.
It tells us that whenever tribulation gets to its boiling point, God will step in to shorten its days. Also, whenever the ministry of any prophet, like Simon the sorcerer, gets to the point of even deceiving the elects, the life of the prophet will be cut short. God will instantly withdraw His mercies and allow the python spirits they operate to eat them.
Let he that has an ear hear what the LORD is saying to us this morning.
The removal of the sorcerer in Nigeria is just the beginning. More sorcerers will be removed by the LORD at their appointed times. It will continue to happen in this decade, in the Church realm, I mean globally. And by 2036, so many of these guys you call “Great Power of God” will no longer be here. A major Bible Prophecy in Zechariah will be fulfilled thereafter.
THEN, THE EZEKIELS, JEREMIAHS, ELIJAHS, PAULS, PETERS ETC. WILL BE THE ONES WE WILL BE HEARING.
They will be the voices on God’s global platform for end time ministry and end time harvest. We are living in very interesting days. Matthew 7:13-28 is playing out. There are so many on the Broadway that leads to eternal damnation and so few finding the narrow way leading to life; all because of the kind of deception in Church today, especially in matters of deliverance from witchcraft.
You find witchcraft on the pulpit trying to deliver people from witchcraft from their villages. Even people you think should know are believing the lie and questioning the truth. They interrogate the truth and do not care investigating the lies.
Many are building their lives on the sinking-sand of the python spirit, while very few are finding the rock of the Testimony of Jesus Christ to build their lives on.
That is why many are not overcoming witchcraft. You find the storms of witchcraft wiping away marriages, finances, people, health, and sometimes entire lives of those whose lives are not built on the rock of the Testimony of Jesus Chrust, the true spirit of prophecy.
Present-day Balaam and Balak seems to be conspiring and winning over some souls. If there is anything we need now, that thing is victory in the plains of Moab, and I will share with you what it means. The Bible teaches that:

The witchcraft attacks on the nation of Israel that was masterminded by Balak and Balaam started when the nation camped in the plains of Moab.
In obtaining victory over witchcraft, one must understand the mystery behind these plains in the life of a Child of God. Yes, there is a mystery behind the plain of Moab. A mystery is a hidden truth. In the Kingdom of God, mysteries are hidden truths that must be exposed to the saints. Jesus said,
…Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. Matthew 13:11 KJV
OUR LIVES WILL REMAIN A MISERY IF WE DO NOT UNLOCK THE MYSTERIES IN GOD’S WORD AND LEAD OUR LIVES ACCORDINGLY.
People with no knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom will never be free from the miseries of witchcraft attacks. It takes God’s kingdom mysteries to erase human miseries. Evil works of darkness are hidden works. It will require the glorious works of light to deal with them.
Most of what people go through in the hands of witches and wizards is usually mysterious. You see mysterious sicknesses and diseases, mysterious economic hardships, mysterious accidents and air mishaps, mysterious political victories and campaigns. You see mysterious marriage break-up, mysterious deaths and collapse of things in people’s lives.
Virtually everything bad that is happening today is mysterious. That is why unlocking the mystery of God’s kingdom has become expedient.
Many of us do not know that in the spirit, it takes a mystery to deal with a mystery. It is the ignorance of God’s hidden mysteries that are responsible for the struggle of men with the mysterious developments of witchcrafts. What is hidden will require WHAT WAS HIDDEN IN GOD but now revealed to us to be eliminated.
