THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (SATURDAY 23RD May 2026)

“looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.

For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.” Hebrews 12:15-17 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 143RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORIES!

God has graciously brought us to the last day of the week. To Him belong the glory. We believe we will have a glorious weekend also.

We have been looking at the first aspect of the witchcraft software that make us vulnerable in the spirit; sin. The LORD used yesterday’s devotional to talk to us about it so profoundly. These are things we do not look at whenever we come under successful witchcraft attacks.

Satan and his ministers who masquerades as angel of light have taught all of us to be looking outward. He has taught us to point at this person and that person whenever we come under attack.
He has made us to forget all the scriptures that say about spiritual attacks and how to prevent or deal with them; that is why this review is helpful.

The witchcraft software has been our real problem. Sin have been one of the very powerful forces making us a prey to their teeth, nothing else. If there was no sin in our lives, there would have been no successful attacks of the devil in our lives, when it comes to matters of witchcraft.

It is the dust of sin that brings the decay. When the decay comes, worms begin to come out of the decay. The decay means corruption and the worms means successful demonic attacks.

Yesterday we discovered how we have been put in a state of not being able to repent by teachings that tells us we no longer need repentance having recited the sinner’s prayer. We forget that repentance is the only way we deal with sin and its consequences, not giving, singing in Church or even serving. Repentance is the only way.

BUT THE WORD HAS BEEN COMPLETELY DELETED FROM OUR HEARTS, MAKING US VULNERABLE TO SIN.

Most of us have become like the biblical character, Esau. That is why the word repentance has been deleted from our lexicons. Some now not only believe but fight for preachers who say we do not need to repent again because we are already saved. But concerning Esau, as presented in our devotional text, the Bible says;

“looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.

For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.” Hebrews 12:15-17 NKJV

Now this took place in the Old Testament but resurfaced in the New because truth is one and constant. The New Testament did not replace or abolish the Old as the Nephilim grace preachers are making men believe. It fulfilled and established the Old.

Sadly, our generation has become more of an Esau and Saul generation instead of a Jacob and David generation that honored the LORD by seeking Him and repenting from their sins. Esau and Saul could not find repentance because they were not interested in God. They just appeared to be! But Jacob and David found repentance because they were interested in God.

JACOB SOUGHT HIM AND DAVID BASKED AFTER HIS HEART UNTIL GOD HIMSELF CALLED HIM, “A MAN AFTER MY HEART.”

People who seek the True God will be interested in repentance. Those who do not will explain it away and see no need for it. Jesus met people who were of this spiritual stock in His days and the exchange was clear. The Bible says;

Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.”

So He spoke this parable to them, saying: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?

And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’

I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. Luke 15:1-7 NKJV

This will always be Christ’s response to those who believe they do not need repentance. The Pharisees presented themselves as people who do not need repentance the way the Nephilim grace preachers of today are doing, and Jesus responded with the parable. He made it clear to them that He came for those who realize that they need repentance, and that they are the ones who create Joy in Heaven through their repentance.

Now, the easiest way to create joy in your life on earth is to create joy in Heaven. You don’t create joy in Heaven by giving sacrificially, fasting or praying but by repenting of sin. Giving sacrificially is great, if it is towards God’s righteous course, praying and fasting is beautiful if done the right way. Both will unlock God’s glory upon your life. But creating joy in Heaven is by the repentance of one sinner.

However, if you fast or pray, or give sacrificially in repentance, then your fasting, prayer and sacrificial giving will unlock Heavenly joy upon your life. That joy will manifest in your life as times of refreshing or the joy of salvation. The Bible says,

“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,” Acts 3:19 NKJV

It is times of refreshing that deletes the witchcraft software completely and sets us free from its reach, because it creates a new internal life, plants the seed of God in us that will not allow us to live sinful lives!

IT’S THEREFORE IMPORTANT TO LEARN HOW TO REPENT OR OBTAIN MERCY IF YOU FALL INTO SIN.

This is not to encourage a life of sin but to promote a life of victory over practical sins. Falling into sin here and then and repenting all the time will not help you over witchcraft completely. But at least it’s good to repent and not continue with a life of sin. I am writing these things so that you might not live a life of sin.

Repentance from sin will help you obtain mercy, not repetition of sins. When you obtain mercy, you find grace to help you against witches and wizards. The Bible says,

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 NKJV

Obtaining mercy through repentance should be known to all because most times, the only way you can find redemption from evil works is to obtain mercy through repentance from sinful works. A generation that does not know how to approach the throne of grace to obtain mercy through REPENTANCE will never find redemption from evil works.

The key to REDEMPTION in the kingdom is mercy obtained at the throne of grace through repentance.

The first step you take, therefore, to obtain mercy through repentance is to ADMIT your sins. It is not to have a sense of denial like many do today. To admit means to acknowledge that you have sinned. The next step is RENUNCIATION of what you have admitted.

TO RENOUNCE SIMPLE MEANS TO REJECT, RELINQUISH, OR ABANDON.

When you truly renounce your sin, you will not be repeating it again or accusing anyone of pushing you into it. You will not excuse yourself the way Adam and Eve did. You will take responsibility and seek GOD for power not to keep living that kind of life again.
People who do not renounce their sins, will never begin their journey into God’s forgiveness.

If you seek God for forgiveness of sin without admitting and renouncing those sins, you will rather be driven away from your Garden – which could be marriage, economic abundance or a life of victory over witchcraft. In fact, you will never receive forgiveness. The easiest way to insult the spirit of grace is to seek forgiveness without any fruit of repentance.

The Bible says by our fruits we are known not our words.

Forgiveness is a Harvest you collect only when you seek mercy through repentance, not just through prayer and fasting. If you fast and pray without first renouncing your sins, you are a big joke. Admitting and renouncing your sin are very important fruits of repentance.

The next fruit of repentance is hating to keep doing what you have admitted and renounced. It is a major step you take to obtain mercy to find grace at the throne of grace. Hating your sin is a major step into the portals of mercy. It is considered a fruit of repentance in the apostolic.

The next step you take is CONFESSION AND TURNING AWAY from what you have admitted, renounced and hated. Any sin you have truly admitted, renounced and hated you will confess and forsake and not conceal. That is why confession of sin is a major hallmark of one’s relationship with God.

You do not conceal what you hate. You expose it with the aim of getting rid of it. For instance, if you hate that masturbation, adultery, pornography, or deceitful living that is handing you over to witchcraft attacks, you will not conceal it and call it a weakness, while blaming your father’s house for your predicament.

YOU WILL RATHER EXPOSE IT TO GET RID OF IT. THE BIBLE SAYS,

“He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13 NKJV

People who conceal their sins are saying, “WE LOVE WHAT WE ARE DOING.” They will never prosper. Sin concealed will explode in time and consume those who concealed it. You do not deal with sin and its consequence as a child of GOD by concealing it. You deal with it by confessing to THE RIGHT ears and forsaking it. The Bible says,

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16 NKJV

People who conceal their sins will one day die under the plague of their secrecy. The Bible made it clear that healing only comes when we confess to the right ears.

The right ears are ears that will BUILD and not BREAK us – ears with the heart to rebuke, reprove and then repair us all at the same time. Not those who just rebuke or shame us. Not people who will cut off our spiritual productivity by mishandling our confession. Sadly, some are saying grace has erased the need for confession of sins due to the activities of the wrong ears they confessed their sins to.

Like I stated earlier, the Nephilim grace preachers are here again, preventing souls from entering the inner chambers of God’s grace to be saved. Any grace preaching that remove the need for confession of sin, is a fraud. The Bible says,

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-10 NKJV

This scripture was written to help the church escape the Nephilim grace preachers that invaded the early church in the days of Apostle John. It reveals how sin lives in us and encourages us not to live in the sin that live in us, by engaging or unlocking the power of confession of sin.

IT TAKES POWER TO DEFEAT THE PRACTICE OF SIN, SOME OF THAT POWER IS UNLOCKED THROUGH CONFESSION OF SIN TO THE RIGHT EAR.

The preachers and their followers in the days of John claimed they have no sin living in them and could not sin, and that there was no need to confess sins since Christ had died. But that is so wrong! Yes, they are so wrong. We must beware of these kinds of preachers and believers in our days.

Child of God, to enjoy God’s continuous mercy, we must not conceal any sin that we fell into. We must be spiritually accountable to GOD and confess it to the right ears. The amplified version rendered the same scripture this way;

If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].

If we say (claim) we have not sinned, we contradict His Word and make Him out to be false and a liar, and His Word is not in us [the divine message of the Gospel is not in our hearts]. 1 John 1:9-10 AMP

It’s my prayer that you make use of these truths to deal with the first aspect of the witchcraft software – the sin nature. Follow us to the next chapter, in it we will uncover the next aspects of the witchcraft software!
