TODAY’S DEVOTION (Sunday 11th October 2020)
“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you.” Proverbs 4:23-24 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 283rd DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
To the immortal and omnipotent God, we give all the glory. It is His mercies that has been keeping and powering our lives from day to day. And that He is doing, by giving us a word in season on daily bases.
The Bible pointed out that Ignorance of God is the real problem of mankind. People are destroyed for lack of Knowledge – the knowledge of the Holy One.
That brings us to the revelation of the highest provision of God for mankind.
The highest provision of God for mankind is not money for the poor, a glorious marriage for the single, a family for the solitary or a fulfilled life or career. The highest provision of God for mankind is not even children for the barren, home for the homeless, or peace for the troubled.
As good as these things may be, the highest provision of God for mankind is revelation knowledge of who He is.
That is what brings us to all other provisions. They that know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits. They that do not know their God shall be weak and exploited. That is what makes Ignorance of God a deadly spiritual disease on earth.
When what you ought to know is not known, you can perish for not knowing. These devotionals are part of the greatest provision of GOD for us – a revelation of who He is – a knowledge of His ways for us, His will for us, His power for and in us, and His everything.
There are things we ought to know; things that if we do not know, and early enough, we will be ruined. These are the things GOD designed that we know – things our souls are designed by God to accommodate.
These things are things which the Holy Spirit teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. Sometimes the things are taught at advanced level, as shared yesterday. Other times they are taught through human vessels.
THE THINGS HAVE CAPACITY TO OPEN HEAVENLY PORTALS IN OUR SOULS WHEN THEY ARE KNOWN.
When it opens, an outpouring of God is released upon us. Spiritual things come through the gates into our souls.
You must understand that Portals are spiritual gates that connect the invisible world with the visible. In God, they are spiritual gates that brings in Heavenly visitations our way, and the very treasures we need from Heaven in our lives. Revelation knowledge can open them right in our souls.
Jesus said something to Nathaniel that is worthy of note. Nathaniel was one of those godly men He met when He was physically on earth. The Bible says,
“And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” John 1:51 NKJV
Jesus was referring to the opening of Heavenly portals over His Spirit, Soul and Body. In other words, the opening of a Heavenly portal within Him.
One of such moments was in Matthew 17, where a glorious portal opened, and tow glorious ones stepped out and met Him. The Bible calls it the transfiguration. During the encounter His face was transformed and He shone like the Sun.
The deity of Christ was revealed to the disciples – Peter, James and John – that day. It was the revelation that equipped them to be the first three leaders of the Church. Meaning, you are not fit to be a Church leader in any capacity until you have meet the person whose Church to lead.
What am saying is, the Church does not belong to anyone. It belongs to Christ. Until you meet Him, you are not fit to be a leader in His Church.
Sadly, we have so many who are disqualified of being leaders, functioning as leaders in different local Churches – men and women have not met the LORD in Spirit an in truth. That is why things are not in order spiritually.
The opening of that portal that day, and what Peter, James and John experienced, remained a Heavenly reference in their lives and ministries until they left the earth.
We need the same experience to be leaders in Gods sight. Because it is possible to be a Church leader in the sight of men but not one in the sight of GOD.
If you look at the spiritual landscape today, you will see so many people considered as Church leaders by men but are not one in the sight of GOD!
THE FIRST TIME HEAVENLY PORTALS OPENED OVER EARTH WAS AT CREATION.
The Bible made it clear that the earth was created under six or seven portals of glory. There were other times Heavenly portals opened over earth after that. One of the significant times was in the place Jacob would later call Bethel. That was what Jesus was referring to when He spoke with Nathaniel. The Bible says,
“Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran. So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.
Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. Genesis 28:10-12 NKJV
Then spiritual portals opened externally only, and that was the experience Jacob had. But in John 1:51, Jesus was revealing another type of opening that the earth only witnessed when Adam was in the Garden of Eden – the opening of Heavenly portals in the souls and spirits of men.
People have been talking about “open Heavens” but open Heavens are actually “portals of Heaven” opened over earth or individuals. And that is the gateway of blessings in the realm of the Spirit.
As earlier stated, God originally designed that Heavenly Portals open both in and around man. The soul of a man is built in such a way that Portals (either from Heaven or hell) can open within it. That is how people communicate with either God or demons.
WHEN HEAVENLY PORTALS OPENED OVER YOU, IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE SIGNIFICANTLY.
It is God’s way of transferring Blessings from Heaven to earth. It is His way of bringing eternity into time, and taking things from time into eternity, especially the souls of the departed. When a Heavenly portal opened over Jacob, something came from eternity to time, and things left time to eternity. The Bible says,
“And behold, the Lord stood above it and said:”I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.
Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” Genesis 28:13-15 NKJV
Each verse of this scripture is full of the mysteries of things that happens when portals or spiritual gates open over us.
The first is the release of significant promises, and a commitment from GOD to fulfill them. This happens in visionary states, not just small spiritual experiences.
In other words, along with the promises that are made under a Heavenly portal, is the Heavenly backing which that promise needs to be fulfilled. For Jacob the backing did not leave earth to this moment. That is why we still have the nation of Israel today.
Yes, that is why Israel is still where it is today in spite of the opposition around it and all the nation had gone through over the years.
THE NEXT MYSTERY YOU SEE IN THAT VERSE IS THE BLESSING TO INCREASE AND SPREAD EVERYWHERE.
We saw that also speaking when Israel went to Egypt. When Heavenly portals open over us, we begin to increase and spread. We begin to see uncommon growth and all kinds of glorious things happening.
I have come to discover that an earthly life that is not under a heavenly portal, will never fulfill it’s potential. Jacob had the potential of birthing a nation, the messiah, and the church the very day God spoke to Him under that portal.
The LORD said to Him, “in your seed (Christ) all the families will be blessed.” Today we have the nation of Israel, Jesus Christ in our lives, and the Church that was birth through the outpouring of the Holy Ghost on all flesh.
Indeed, in him all the nations of the earth have been blessed. His potential was fulfilled because of the portal that was opened over him.
That day the LORD said to Him,
“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”
Until Heavenly portals are opened over us, or within our souls, we will not connect Heaven for significant things to happen in our life. Schooling in the things of God and responding positively, will bring us under opened portals from Heaven.
There are also portal from hell. Those are portals that unleashes evil into the lives of people. If you see people suffering severely, most of it is a by-product of evil portals opened over their lives or souls.
Also, there are things we are not designed to accommodate in our souls. Doctrines of devils are some of them. These things open evil portals over us, and keep us in demonic oppression. That is why people who are taught things about the devil, evil altars, curses, evil patterns, in father’s houses, and led to do what they call spiritual warfare are not always free from oppression.
You cannot be free from oppression following teachings that open evil portals over or within people.
What is the message this morning? The message is simple!
Your life is a product of the kind of portal that is opened within or over you. If portals of evil are subtly or vividly opened in your soul, or over your life, either you know it or not, you will never have rest from demonic oppression. The solution will always lie in finding a Church with a portal of Heaven opened over it.
What happened to Christ on the mountain of transfiguration, was the opening of a Heavenly portal within Him! We can experience the same. Let us hunger and thirst for it and our lives will take on a new turn.
LET THESE SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY;
“Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.
And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” Matthew 17:1-6 NKJV
