TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Thursday 25th June 2026)
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.”
“And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.” Acts 4:13-14 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 176th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORIES!
I want to begin by saying a big thank you to all who came to honor us in my 50th birthday event that took place yesterday, may your life not lack honor. You expressed your honor in different forms and added the flavor of love to the beautiful day. Such expressions will never be forgotten.
The beautiful decorations and all that was made by the event organizers was out of this region, a kind for only the very very Important people or the VVIPs of this world. But our God has made us much more important by His precious blood and precious Holy Spirit, hence granting us mercy to experience such a beauty of divinely inspired human creation.
It was a wonderful event and a memorable one, and we will never forget. Thank you to all who made it happen. Amen and amen!!
Our devotional text today is full of truths that are worthy of strong apostolic note. If you look at it intently, you will realize that the system that was on ground in the early church, that had initially killed Jesus Christ, was still very much alive when the spiritual gains of His death was born.
The gain was the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the New Testament church by the apostles He called, trained and commissioned. But the system treated them different, just as it had treated Christ. They called them uneducated and untrained, to diminish them. But people the LORD is using to promote a righteous course cannot be diminished.
Yes, in matters of the law they were untrained and uneducated but not in spiritual, redemptive or apostolic matters. They were fit and well educated in God’s sight to begin the foundation laying season of the Church that will span a hundred years, and they did it perfectly.
THEY WERE UNTRAINED AND UNEDUCATED ON THINGS THAT ARE NOT NEEDED IN THEIR WALK WITH THE LORD.
Come to think of it, why should I be trained and educated in things that are not part of my eternal or prophetic destiny? Why should I be trained and educated in things that will add no kingdom value to me in any way? Why should I be trained and educated in things that God has not designed my heart to head to know and be trained in.
The reason for ungodly behavior and terrible wickedness can be traceable to so many things, including people’s training and education in things GOD never designed the human mind to be trained and educated in.
For instance, a young child should not be trained and educated in anything that will make that child sexually perverse. A single person should not be made to experience what God designed to be experienced in marriage only. No one should be made to feed on things they have no financial capacity to acquire. These things are the reasons for bad behavior that looks right in the sight of those with such behaviors.
Above all, what your destiny does not need to be fulfilled, you should never be trained or educated in it. That was the principle that God applied on the lives of the early apostles that He was using to promote His righteous course. That is why when people try to diminish you using your areas of your deficiency, fix your heart in the areas of your strength and move on.
Understand that we live in an accursed world. So, people will always see what to pick on you when you begin to succeed more than them in any field of life.
However, if you have something you are deficient in, something that is negatively affecting your productivity in life, do not recline into a self-pity mode or low self-esteem. Always remember that God does not choose the qualified. GOD qualifies the chosen.
Now, if you are gifted and good, do not be full of yourself. There is this temptation where gifted people are often found to be full of themselves. Do not fall into that temptation because if you are full of yourself, there would be no room for God to fill and use you in the school of human instrumentality.
FRIEND, CHRIST DID NOT LEAVE US A REASON TO BE DEFEATED IN LIFE BY ANY SYSTEM, SITUATION OR PEOPLE.
I was not qualified for ministry. I was born a stutterer and scarcely educated because my parents were poor. But God qualified me through self-development programs He helped me to initiate and through other institutional trainings, and today none of that exist in my life. His grace has given me much more and made me who I am today. God indeed does not choose the qualified, He qualifies the chosen.
You do not need to be qualified for anything God want to do with your life. A yes, is all He looks for.
I repeat, you do not need to be qualified for what God want to do with you. No matter how big, huge, expansive, global, or how tough it might be, qualifications should be taken out of your table because they are not on His table. All God needs from you is a YES with dedication.
Sadly, that is what many who feel unqualified lack. They cannot commit with a dedicated “Yes LORD” hence remaining unqualified for life.
God will need your dedicated “yes” to qualify you for what He wants to do with you. He will need you to be sold out, investing all your strength, your time, your talent, your resources and everything. Once that happens, grace will begin to speak, and you will find yourself doing things you never thought possible.
As we bring this to a close, understand that under God, we are more than able to succeed in life, prevail in life, and defeat whatever is out against us in life. We only need to believe and then say a “a yes” with a strong dedication to the LORD.
In other words, we only need to be sold out. Once we become sold out to His course or His assignment for us, everything that look zero in you, will be turned into hero. His grace will so help you that people will begin to see so much in you that was not even there when you first started out with GOD.
