TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (MONDAY 17th August 2026)
“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.” Hebrews 11:1-3 NLT
WELCOME TO THE 229TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF STRATEGIC VICTORIES!
Slowly but surely, our year of Strategic victory is being lived with God’s grace. The LORD’s mercies, kindness, presence and power are all making the year a peaceful and fulfilled one for us. We have not seen the will of our enemies coming to pass in our lives. Not because they were too weak to reach us, but because Jesus never handed us over to them.
I remember the deport him songs that were sung so many years back. It was the will of the enemy that the work here be stopped and we be deported. But God stood by us and today we are still here. With some who shouted it not even here with us any longer.
If a man is on the LORD’s side, it does not matter who is not on His side.
One major thing a human must strive to do is to be on the LORD’s side. People who try to do critical work for the LORD like the one we do, should always be on the LORD’s side if the wild beast and parading princes of Darkness will not destroy them. In fact, all who call on the name of the LORD ought to be on the LORD’s side, but sadly not all are.
Like some tribes of Isreal at the foot of mount Sinai were, which lead to their judgment, understand that not all Christians are on the LORD’s side, and not all preachers and local churches are on the LORD’s side. Most do not even know what the LORD is doing now. Majority are on the side of the god of gold, fame and fortunes and the god of fortress.
IN FACT, IF YOU LOOK AT OUR BEHAVIOR TODAY, YOU WILL JUST KNOW THAT VERY FEW PEOPLE IN CHURCH ARE ON THE LORD’S SIDE.
Many of us call Him, “Jesus, Jesus” but we do not do what He says. We do what our sinful flesh says and guides us to do. People who are on the LORD’s side are not led by the sinful flesh but by the Spirit of God in their sanctified life. Those who are not but claim to be, proclaim that they know God, but deny him by the way they live. The Bible says, “they are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good in God’s kingdom.”
It is therefore important to understand that it is not just those who are doing a critical work for the LORD, but all who are alive on this side of eternity, because it is whose side you live your days on this side of eternity that will determine where you live in the afterlife, either in hell or heaven.
One of the major reasons why Church people who profess to know God do not live the lives of people who know God, lies in the kind of faith that have been preached to us and is still being preached. A faith that was not delivered to us but manufactured in America many years ago and sent to the whole Christian world by most faith preachers.
The Bible says the just shall live by faith. It is not the faith we see today but the faith of the Bible. The one our Bible fathers lived and practiced. If you want to be on the LORD’s side you must understand what that faith is, among other things, and live your life with that faith.
The one we hear on the lips and see in the lives of present-day Christians must be jettisoned. It must be thrown away because it leads to hell and have sadly taken many to hell. In revealing the ideal faith, the Bible says;
“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jude 1:3-4 NKJV
THESE SCRIPTURE PRESENTE TO US TWO KINDS OF FAITH; THE ONE TO CONTEND FOR AND THE ONE TO RESIST BY ALL MEANS.
The faith the scripture says we should contend for is different from the faith you find in church today. Sadly, the one to resist and not contend for is the one we have in church today. Maybe if we read this same scripture in another translation, you will understand what the Bible is saying to us. The New Living translation put it this way;
“Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people.
I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.” Jude 1:3-4 NLT
Clearly, we can see that there is a faith that forbids immoral living and a faith that allows for immoral living in this scripture. The one that allows for immoral living preaches a grace that is perverted, but the one that disallows preaches a grace that urges man to turn from wicked ways and live right.
The faith you see in Church today is the faith that allows believers to live immoral lives. That is not the faith Jesus died for. It is a manufactured faith. It was first manufactured in the early Church. That was the faith that sank the early church after a hundred years of existence and gave birth to the over one thousand years called the dark age.
The first step God made to restore back that faith was the first of reformation He kindled then which gave birth to moves that brought us to where we are today. Sadly, this perverted faith was later resurrected in America by some faith preachers decades ago and sent to the whole world. Today it has gripped the soul of the Church and those it has gripped attack those who try to go back to the faith once delivered to the Church.
YOU MUST FIGHT FOR YOUR SOUL AS A BELIEVER BY REJECTING THAT FAITH BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.
Sadly, the faith to reject is intelligently proclaimed and promoted by the super-rich preachers, and their ministries and the super influential, hence making it looks as if one is attacking the church when one contend for the faith that the Bible says we should contend for.
That is why many seems to see it as the ideal faith.
But if anyone deceive you, please do not deceive yourself. Read the Bible and seek no extrabiblical explanation because the Bible explains itself. Our devotional text says:

We can see in this scripture that the faith our fathers practiced, gave them good reputation or godly character. It did not give them ungodly character or reputation. But the one we have today is not giving us good reputation. Some of the thieves we have in our governments for example are Christians, some are even pastors.
Indeed, our faith has not given us godly reputations.
We might have the reputation of the richest pastors and churches on earth, but you cannot find the world calling us the holiest people on earth. That is the message. You must rise over this decay and become a reformation catalyst for Jesus Christ this end time.
Let me close this by reiterating again that according to the Holy Scriptures, the faith that preaches that God’s grace allows us to live immoral lives was not brought in by able ministers of the New Testament. It was brought in by certain men, disabled ministers of the New Testament, who used teachings on financial prosperity, deliverance, success, and all kinds of money-making doctrines to warm their way into the hearts of believers.
Sadly, today that is the faith that many of us have embraced. We do not even know the one that was delivered to the Church. If we will make Heaven at last, we must know which faith we are to contend for and the one to resist. We must resist the faith that tolerates and even emboldens us to break God’s laws while professing to be born again. That is the word of the LORD!!
