TODAY’S DEVOTION (Friday 23RD October 2020)
“But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.
I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says the Lord.
“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.
In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Jeremiah 23:3-6 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 295th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF REJOICING
A people who do not know the God that is for them, will always be afraid and talking about the devils that are against them. That is why the Spirit of the LORD always fill our hearts with the revelation of GOD, and not information about the enemy.
Talking about enemy, enemy, enemy, is simply a sign of illiteracy in the things of God. Knowing God exhumes peace, calmness and boldness from a man. It makes the enemy too small to be made the center of a Sunday service or prayer meeting. He becomes “a thing of no concern”.
With this opening comment I again welcome you to this glorious day!
Our devotional today will be centered the first praise report of a major one of the miracles that took place in this ministry in 2016. We have head so many praise reports after that. The most recent ones are the outpourings of miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit from march 2020 to date.
Actually, amazing things are happening at the Cry of the Spirit ministries Nairobi in this lockdown period! But let me share a flow I shared four years back.
God has been moving in our then weekly Kingdom Advance meetings and schools of the Spirit. Also during those days, our Holy Nation Prayer and Prophecy nights were used by the LORD to deliver and heal of all manner of diseases in the lives of those who attended.
The cry of the Spirit has been a city of Refuge of refuge since the glorious mandate got planted in this nation!
A very beautiful lady met me four years ago in company of her friend, and told me that they worship in a particular Church in the City but felt strongly to leave and Join our Apostolic Family. I welcomed them.
Then she said she was HIV positive and that she had lived a very bad life before meeting Christ, and that her past life was responsible for her situation.
THEN SHE SAID SHE WANTS GOD IN OUR MIDST TO HEAL HER.
I remember sharing some testimonies of what the consuming glory of God was doing among us, and asked her to have faith in Jesus that He will visit her as well as she integrate into the ministry.
They joined the Church the following week and God started visiting her immediately. I don’t think they have been with us for one month then.
Long story cut short, one faithful morning, after a prayer session, she testified before GOD and His people with all the medical proves, that the consuming glory of Christ visited her and took away the disease.
That was without sowing seeds or taking me to their village to pray for her. I did not use salt, sand, water, anointing Oil, or whatever to pray for her. Jesus just touched her and took away every trace of the disease. His consuming glory indeed consumed everything!
Every of our meetings have been cabinet meetings with Christ, even in this lockdown.
In the Cry of the Spirit we believe that “you do not participate in a cabinet meeting with the KING HIMSELF (Jesus Christ) and return home with diseases or any other work of the devil.” We believe that it is not me (the preacher), that is doing the work. I cannot even deliver my shoes! It is God who is doing His marvelous work in our midst.
I don’t know what you are going through; you just need a City of refuge like our ministry to be visited by the LORD! One is located near you.
Sadly, there are so many Cities of refuse called Cities of refuge, making it for people to find a city if refuge for their lives. But you don’t have to suffer alone while Jesus is waiting for you in a City of Refuge, that may be far of near you, to take away your burdens and free you from whatever the devil may have casted on you.
JESUS SAID TO US, AND IS STILL SAYING TO US;
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV
I remember how we were all overwhelmed with awe, gratitude and praise to God that morning; It was the first time such a miracle happened in our midst. You can see people shedding tears as she testified. We indeed saw the evidence that Jesus indeed gives rest to His people.
He gave the lady rest from the HIV virus that day, and many others from their restlessness that night.
FRIEND, JESUS IS REAL! HE IS NOT A MYTH. He is God! It is when you look for Him in wrong places that He appears to be a myth to you; because you will never see Him.
Jesus cannot be found in wrong places, so you will never see Him in a City of Refuse preachers call Church. He can only be found in His Cities of Refuge, planted across the nations of the earth (though very, very few these days).
Friend, there is a move of God on earth to establish more of these cities of refuge and bring men into them for rescue. The signs are everywhere.
Our devotional text is a major prophecy that has both Historic and prophetic Consequences.
Historically, it was fulfilled in 1948 when God brought Israel back to their land. But spiritually it has been fulfilled in every Church generation. Our Church generation is currently experiencing the fulfillment of this prophecy. It is the very prophecy that was fulfilled in the life of this lady and many others in our ministry.
The precious souls that heaven is delivering at the Cry of the Spirit ministries, were in places they thought were Cities of refuge. But all their days in such places made them more miserable. And the reason for that is simple; Christ was not there!
IT WAS JUST THE MENTIONING OF THE NAME JESUS THAT WAS THERE; THE PRESENCE AND GLORY OF CHRIST WAS NOT THERE.
But in His mercy and kindness, He came into their lives and gathered then pushed them out of where they had been, through many Circumstances, and brought them to “His City of refuge.” And from what we shared few days ago, when you get to a City of Refuge, every avenging demon in your life will no longer hold you sway.
So when they got to where Christ is, they were delivered from the works of their enemies. That is the Jeremiah 23:3-6 prophecy manifesting.
A major Highlight of the text says,
“But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.
I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says the Lord.
You cannot be free indeed from any harassment of the Devil, or become what God has created you to be if this prophecy is not fulfilled in your life, the way it was fulfilled in the lives of these precious souls.
Contain in this scripture are basic ways God minister to His lost sheep.
First of all, when a sheep is lost, it becomes a victim of satanic attacks. When it is not in its fold, it is exposed to all kinds of adversity without deliverance. If eventually it runs into what look like a Church but not really a Church by God’s definition, it will still not be saved.
It could have relief but not rest. The hireling would then be exploiting it of money and all it can.
BUT JESUS SAID “I WILL GATHER THE REMNANT OF MY FLOCK OUT OF ALL COUNTRIES.”
What the Bible termed as “all countries” in this prophecy are, in simply terms, these cities of spiritual refuse with the outlook of a Church people run to for help. Sadly, they are everywhere, making the loudest noise and putting up the largest “man of God” signs and outlook; causing the naïve and ignorant to be carried away so easily!
God wants His sheep in all countries (Churches) that are merely Cities of Refuse gathered unto Him.
He wants them established under Him as their shepherd by the hands of shepherd who will let that happen – shepherds who will feed them until they get to a realm where they will fear no more or be lacking. Not shepherds who will curse them for not tithing or for leaving their churches, or threaten them with devils not to leave!
Friend, something is happening! We must rise from ignorance and start checking ourselves by our fruits not by our noises, claims or sign posts.
In the kingdom it is not by claims, noise or sign boards that we are known but by our “fruits.” It’s not Charisma but Character. Satan has intimidating charisma but has no character. If you see a Christian or preacher that fits that description, you have just seen Satan in the flesh.
Jesus said by their fruits we shall know them.
Fruits are what tells the authenticity or otherwise of a thing in GOD’s kingdom. And it is our “roots” that determine our “fruits.” That is why you must not dwell in a Church rooted in money, money, money, or enemy killing, enemy killing, and enemy killing.
The fruit such churches will bear in your life, will be terrible. There will be no words to describe what your life will become over time when they grow out the consequence in your life!
I have heard very sad stories of what the sheep of Jesus are going through under some preachers that are simply devils in God’s garment. People have tearfully narrated how they were cursed and given few days to live simply because they freely joined and want to freely leave a Church.
A church that is led by a spiritual leader who uses words like “I have to release you before you leave this place or else…” and other related cult terminologies, is not an Assembly of God but an Assembly of Satan.
The statements alone show that you are not in a church but a cage. And your so called father in the LORD is the cage master. In fact, you are the bird that is why until he releases you, you are not permitted to leave. NONSENSE!
What is the message of our devotional this morning? The message is simple; you do not need one more moment in a City of refuse you call Church.
There is a move of God to rescue His own from all cages, crowds or cities of refuse we call Churches. The primary goal is to bring us under one Shepherd Jesus Christ. Until this move is fulfilled in your life as a Child of God, you will never have rest in life!
I pray that you do like Mary this morning; saying “Be it unto me according to your word LORD.”
