TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Monday 22nd February 2021)
“Also Isaac’s servants dug in the valley, and found a well of running water there. But the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek, because they quarreled with him.
Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that one also. So he called its name Sitnah. And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth, because he said, “For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” Genesis 26:19-22 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 53RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS
The digging of wells of revival is one major faith position that the end time saints will take as we prepare for the glorious appearing of Jesus Christ. As the wicked do more wickedly, opening ancient portals to usher in ancient demons, we are to press into some ancient revival wells in God’s glory and dig them so that our generation will be delivered.
The story of Isaac and the wells he dug have been preached with Evangelistic mindset. And it has helped many to build resistance against satanic frustrations. But we can go deeper than that to uncover great prophetic and apostolic truths for our age.
Re-digging of ancient revival wells in God’s glory is one major apostolic and prophetic truth to glean from that story!
While a full revelation of these will be taught, permit me to take you to a the first two devotionals I wrote when the LORD spoke to me to start placing devotionals on Face book. It’s my prayer that the Isaac spirit will rest upon you to dig out truths from it the way he re-dug the wells of his father.
God bless you!
TODAY’S DEVOTION (Thursday 17th September 2015)
“LORD, show me the destiny pathways to my blessings. Show me eternal paths to walk in and arrive at your desired blessing for me”
Thus says the Lord:
“Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ Jeremiah 6:16 NKJV
Are you troubled in your ministry, health, finances, family or marital life?
What area of your life is crying for rest having prayed, fasted, believe God, and done all you can? God is speaking to you this morning saying “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it, then you will find rest for your souls” The consequences of not doing this will be absence of rest.
The key words here are many. Two majors say; ask for old paths where the good way is and walk in it then you will find rest. Hallelujah! Old paths are the divine ways that our Biblical fathers followed in their walk with God, the divinely crafted routes of life people like Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Israel, etc. followed. These are the ways to ask the LORD show you.
The Christian life is full of divinely crafted routes. It is full of prophetic pathways and directions. Routes, paths, or directions leads to destinations! Your desired destination could be divine health, a life partner, a financial raise, deliverance from satanic attacks, or even success in an area of life or ministry.
God wants you to start asking Him for the path to take to get there. Enough of just asking Him to do it! Most things in God’s Kingdom only answer to walking in divinely paths not just praying.
Divine paths are created by God’s footsteps. When you make His footsteps your pathways you will begin to find rest in any restive area of your life. God will begin to restore favor to your land – your life, family, ministry, or business. And that will happen from this day in Jesus precious name.
Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway. Psalm 85:12-13 NKJV
TODAY’S DEVOTION (Friday 18th September 2015)
“For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain.” Titus 1:10-11 NKJV
This is an apostolic scripture. In today’s devotional I feel led by the LORD to talk to you about mouths. Do not wonder why the Bible says certain mouth (maybe including yours) must be stopped.
Destinies are either made or destroyed by mouths. The difference between war and peace lies in what comes out of the mouth. For instance, your mouth played a major role to where you are today in life. Let me show you four of the many things I have come to learn about the mouth;
1. If you do not guard or control what comes out of your mouth, you will live a miserable life on earth. Most people we say are cursed are not really cursed by the external but the internal. Their mouth is their ruin that is why they cannot be delivered.
2. Your mouth will be responsible for either your success or failure in God’s plans for your life. Sometimes it is important to stop your own mouth if you want to succeed in the will of God not the mouth of others.
If you do not stop a mouth that causes ruin, it will stop a destiny from being fulfilled. The psalmist said, “…I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.” (Psalm 17:3 AMP) The transgression of the mouth is the reason for the backwardness of many!
3. The difference between peaceful homes and trouble ones lies in what comes out of the mouth. 90 percent of what we call domestic violence is precipitated by what comes out of the mouth. If you cultivate a peaceful mouth, you will have a peaceful life.
4. There are preachers whose mouths must be stopped. That is what our devotional text tells us. The mouth of an erroneous preacher or prophet will destroy you. And that is where I want to zero in.
In the book of Revelation 16:13 we are told that unclean spirits, in form of frogs, do come out of the mouth of false prophets wherever they speak. That is why it is dangerous to listen to false prophets and teachers. If you give your life to a mouth that is speaking what may be working miracles in your life but not rooted in the Spirit of truth, you will be consumed by unclean spirits.
As you pass through this day, note the mouths that must be stopped and avoid them. Submit to the Spirit of Truth to guide your heart and guard your life from mouths that consume in Jesus precious name!
“Deliver my life from the sword, my dear life [my only one] from the power of the dog [the agent of execution]. Save me from the lion’s mouth; for you have answered me [kindly] from the horns of the wild oxen. I will declare your name to my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise you. Psalm 22:20-22 AMP
FINAL WORD:
I know the LORD God has spoken to your heart! It really pays to travel back in time to see how kingdom streams started.
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY
Then he went up from there to Beersheba. And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham; do not fear, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants for My servant Abraham’s sake.”
So he built an altar there and called on the name of the Lord, and he pitched his tent there; and there Isaac’s servants dug a well. Genesis 26:23-25 NKJV
