TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Sunday 30th May 2021)
“The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of thousands; the Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place.
You have ascended on high, you have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, that the LORD God might dwell there.
Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah
Our God is the God of salvation; and to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death.” Psalm 68:17-20 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 150TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
It’s been a journey through these 150 days. 30 of those days came through in a set of days called May. To God be the glory for His love, compassion and mercies. His marvelous works has kept us beyond our imagination.
The scripture of our devotional text have been visible in our lives. We have seen the visible works of the thousands of His invisible chariots in our lives.
We have seen His gifts among us minister His will to us. We have experienced escape from death. We have seen Him load us daily with benefits.
For a while I was wondering how the benefits come. I remember preaching what I knew then in 1999 of how they come, but all that changed when I grew in revelation. I began to understand that the scripture was telling us how constant our GOD can be.
For each day He carries us in His arms. He is constant in His mercies, goodness and compassion towards us.
There are seasons that I have been shocked by His compassion and marvelous deeds. I mean His compassion and mercies are deeper and more constant than we think. I believe that is why people do not take advantage of them and live right. We rather take disadvantage of them and live in sin. We live in sin because His mercies do not allow us to suffer an immediate consequence.
But God’s mercies and compassion are to be taken advantage of; we are to use them to repent from our wicked ways and led righteous lives on the face of the earth.
As He surrounds us with His chariots, minister His will to us by the instrumentality of His gifts, load us daily with benefits, and help us to escape death, we are to respond with a life that is totally committed to His will and ways, by His saving grace. He has placed His Holy Spirit, His Bible, His Church on earth and our will to help us in all that.
That is why we must not forsake the assembling of the brethren this morning. Except that Church is an assembly of Satan, we must assembly corporately this morning to experience the spirits of just men made perfect. Hallelujah!
Now to our discourse; for few days now we have been journeying and receiving revelation from extracts from our book “OVERCOMING WITCHCRAFT BY THE GREATNESS OF GOD’S POWER.”
We are continuing on the same flow this morning, by picking up from where we stopped yesterday.
May the LORD perfect His will for our lives as we journey along!
ELIMINATING WITCHCRAFT – GOD’S WRITTEN JUDGMENT
(1) GOD’S FURY: The first written judgment and strong reason for God’s move against witchcraft is His fury against every works of darkness that is enslaving mankind.
I tell people who try to go physical against witchcraft “you cannot be angrier against witchcraft than God Himself.”
God helps us against witchcraft because He is furious against the works of darkness. He cannot stand wicked men destroying the lives of His own. He has a History of responding to them with great measures. When you see Pharaoh ask him. The Bible says,
God is a just judge, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If he does not turn back, He will sharpen His sword; He bends His bow and makes it ready.
He also prepares for Himself instruments of death; He makes His arrows into fiery shafts.” Psalms 7:11-13 NKJV
Sadly, in a Church generation that is speedily moving in the direction of darkness, we know more of the arrows of our enemies than the arrows of our God. That is why many are in a spiritual panic modes called deliverance.
Let me at this point tell you something about God’s fury!
You see, when God become furious with anything, nothing helpful will ever be helpful to it. When He is angry against anyone, nothing helpful will ever be helpful in the life of that person.
The Contemporary English Version of Proverbs 11:4 puts it better. It says, “When God is angry, money won’t help you. Obeying God is the only way to be saved from death.”
It’s not just money that will not help you in the day of God’s fury; nothing helpful will ever be able to help you; no prayer or fasting can be of help.
THAT MEANS HELPFUL THINGS ONLY REMAIN HELPFUL IF GOD IS NOT FURIOUS WITH A MAN.
Sometimes God will fill His servants with the feelings of His fury in other to bring a word of warning or judgment to wicked men. He filled Jeremiah with a strong expression of His fury against the evil of the men of his generation and the man screamed saying;
“O Lord, you misled me, and I allowed myself to be misled. You are stronger than I am, and you overpowered me. Now I am mocked every day; everyone laughs at me.
When I speak, the words burst out. “Violence and destruction!” I shout. So these messages from the LORD have made me a household joke.
But if I say I’ll never mention the LORD or speak in His name, His word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!” Jeremiah 20:7-9 NLT
It’s not easy to release a prophetic ministry where you are called to communicate the fury of the LORD to a rebellious generation.
If you read what happened to Jeremiah because of being used that way, you will marvel. Nobody will like a prophet who moves in God’s fury, bearing the warnings of the LORD to a rebellious generation. We all Like prophets who move in God’s power, solving our problems. That is why we do not see so many genuine prophets today.
There are too many false prophets today, leading to an increase of the activities of witchcraft even in Church.
The cost of being a true prophet is huge! Being filled with God’s furry to bring warnings to a rebellious generation is one of the many cost. That is why anytime you see an Old Testament Prophet bringing divine warnings; you see them moving in divine fury.
You see people like Elijah before people like Ahab, moving in the fury of the LORD. You see men like Elisha before the lineage of people like Jezebel; the mother of witchcraft in Israel, moving in the fury of the LORD.
Even in the New Testament, the day Peter confronted the lying prophet and sorcerer Simon, who was mistakenly called great power of God, it was in the fury of the LORD. You see that in Acts Chapter 8
THE APOSTLE MOVED IN THE FURRY OF THE LORD AGAINST HIS WITCHCRAFT.
You will find him telling the wizard, who spent his days using his witchcraft to counterfeit the things of God, and even his own personal salvation when Philip came;
“Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!
You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God.
Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.
For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity” Acts 8:20-23 NKJV
Paul also moved in the fury of the LORD in dealing with another wizard He met. You see that in Acts chapter 13:6-13. The wizard was called son of Jesus or Bar-Jesus.
No wizards going about as prophets usually call themselves anything outside that. They always present themselves as sons of Jesus to us, consequently deceiving everyone in need consciousness.
But when an apostolic and prophetic authority moving in God’s fury comes, they are exposed. The man of God moved in God’s fury against the black witchcraft he saw and ended up shutting down the ministry of the sorcerer, setting his captive free.
The Bible is clear on how God fill His servants with His fury to execute a written judgment on an evil work. However, we must understand that there is a difference between moving in God’s fury and moving in human anger. The Bible says the,
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” James 1:19-21 NKJV
Because of the many synagogues of Satan called church that we have today, we are going to experience many apostles of our LORD and savior Jesus Christ (by content not by title) moving in God’s furry this end time, to expose the witchcraft in Church, neutralize it and set captives free.
It is going to be a display of apostolic and prophetic ministry as never before! But just as the enemy tries to counterfeit everything by copying, he will also try to counterfeit this pre-determined will of God for our season. There will be a falsification of divine furry by the spirit of deception walking in prophets and prophetesses of darkness treated as prophets of light in Church.
Child of GOD, religion and human manipulations has a way of falsifying divine fury.
I have seen people in Church moving in human and demonic anger and heard how prophetesses and prophets do the same just to manipulate people. They will tell those who default in tithing, “God is angry with them” while they live in sexual sins or any hidden kind of abominations.
How can God be angry with me for not tithing, but is not angry with you for living in sin and deception.
They craftily present their manipulations and prophecies of divine fury to you to make people afraid and submit whatever they want from them. You must understand that there is falsification of divine furry in Church today. That is why whatever they are doing us not working the righteousness of GOD.
The Bible makes it clear that if it is divine fury it will work the righteousness of God because the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. That is why many prophets, prophetesses and their captives have applied the “suffer no witch to live” scripture wrongly.
They have used it to unleash human (and most times demonic) anger against others. Satan will want us to counterfeit divine furry even against witchcraft so that it cannot be neutralized.
When we counterfeit divine fury in our battle against witchcraft, we run into trouble waters. We tap into demonic furry and all that. I have heard of people who even killed their loved ones physically in a demonic fury against witchcraft. They came under the curse of blood for being stupid!
You don’t engage witchcraft in battle with human or demonic anger and win. God’s holy fury is the only force that can engage witchcraft and win.
