TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Monday 5th July 2021)
“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.
“Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.” Isaiah 48:17-18 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 186TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
It’s a good thing to give than thanks to the LORD for the glorious weekend we just had. For us at the Cry of the Spirit, it was a great weekend because of the first session of the 7 days 7 mountains that we had.

We saw something about the Mysteries of Bible mountains. We met the God of the mountain who brought mountain worship to an end; the Holy Spirit also helped to understand the activities of the gods of the mountain who are presently promoting mountain worship, especially in the church.
Now to our devotional for the day! Let me begin by sharing some important information about us; things that perhaps many have not realized.
The Bible says;
“man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceed from the mouth of God.”
I am so glad that the statement did not come from a theologian or a religious person, it came from God Himself. He taught Israel just that one lesson for 40 years. If the lesson was not important, the nations would not have been made to learn just that for 40 years. Though it took long because they were rebellious and unteachable.
You see, when God speaks, He does not speak to the body of man, He speaks to the spirit of man. The power of His word may touch the Body and fill it with grace, but His communication contact is the human spirit because He is Spirit. So when He feeds man with His Word He does not feed his body, He feeds his spirit.
When God said,
“man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from His mouth”
He was revealing to us what the human spirit needs to either become alive or stay alive to the Spirit realm of GOD. Simply put, He was saying to us as the human body needs natural food (bread) to stay alive, so the human spirit needs spiritual food (God’s Rhema or proceeding Word) to stay alive.
We are to be moving from revelation to revelation the way the Early Church did if we are to stay alive in God today.
Our days have become more dangerous, hence we cannot afford to be spiritually famished. Sadly, so many believers are being entertained with preaching that elates the souls but do not feed the spirit.
THEY ARE NOT BEING FED, AND MANY LOVE TO HAVE IT SO.
They call the ones God graced to feed the souls of men all kinds of names and give preachers with messages that can build them unkind treatment. You will become spiritually weak, malnourished and eventually die if you are not being properly fed.
One major way God protects our spiritual lives from defilement, decay and destruction in hell is to feed it properly. That is why He gave some to be apostle, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers and very few to be all of them, for the perfecting of the saints through proper spiritual feeding.
Feed the hungry does not necessarily mean we should buy food and give them. It mainly means we should feed them with quality spiritual food until they grow up to become prosperous spiritually. When they prosper spiritually, they will also prosper materially and will not need that we feed them with physical food.
I reiterate again that many believers are not being fed spiritually. You find them in Churches that are taking care of their physical needs and not spiritual needs. That is why they cave in each time sin or sorrow knocks at their doors. They resort to men and even devils for help.
Friend, the myriad of the spiritual problems we see today tells us that so many are not being fed. Most are being entertained while many others are being fooled, and it is not good for their eternal lives as well.
A lot are even made gullible by the ministries of their spiritual leaders and kept in a state of physical prosperity but spiritual malnutrition. Leading to an army of people who gets their hearts desires but receive leanness into their souls. Do not forget, the same thing happened to the nation of Israel. The Bible says;
“They soon forgot His works; They did not wait for His counsel, but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert. And He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.” Psalm 105:13-15 NKJV
They forgot the works of the LORD because they were not fed with the knowledge of His counsel. Then they got their heart desires, as a consequence also got leanness into their souls. That is not a good thing.
WE SHOULD NOT BE GETTING OUR HEARTS DESIRES GRANTED AND HAVING LEANNESS IN OUR SOULS.
It will destroy us eternally. None of those who got their hearts desires in the wilderness made it to Canaan. They became too rebellious to make it home.
Today we also have men and women in in so many local churches who are getting their hearts desires from the ministries of their papas, mams, prophets, prophetesses, Bishops, Archbishops and all that and enjoying the moments. But they are not aware of what is happening in their souls.
The unknown consequence is none of them is having the spiritual fatness our spirits and souls needs to make it to Heaven, the eternal home of the saints, in a crooked and perverse generation like ours. It is making them gullible and helping them to build a resistance against truth.
Subsequently, most have become partakers of the activities of the coming of the lawless one and the working of Satan in Church today. They are enjoying all the signs and wonders he is demonstrating with unrighteous deception by the power of the demon of deliverance, and building great resistance against Bible Truth and sound doctrine. The Bible says;
“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 NKJV
THIS SCRIPTURE TELLS US WHAT GOD DOES TO PEOPLE WHO PARTAKE OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE WORKING OF SATAN THEY CALL MIRACLES.
It tells us that God sends them strong delusions, that they should believe the lie. This is very deep and important. That tells me that there are false Churches and satanic ministries that God will allow to be established and grow as part of His correctional judgments on those who are resisting His truth and not receiving the love of it so that they might be saved.
That explains why Isaiah said the ways of God are high and why David said it is a fearful thing to fall into the hand of His judgement.
Will you ever believe of you are told that the rise of certain false prophets and churches that are spread lies and deceiving people with magic miracles is allowed by the LORD as an act of judgment? Will you believe if you are told that God sends strong delusions through those false ministries and Churches as judgment on those who refuse the love of the truth? Indeed, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hand of His judgement.
There is so much I cannot write in this devotional about God’s strong delusion program for our days.
I can show you prophets in Africa, starting from Nigeria who were allowed by the LORD to be the Simon the sorcerer of our days just to judge the army of believers who are resisting the love of His truth. That is why they tell people they heard from God that they should preach the doctrine of devils that they are preaching – doctrines of first fruits, redemption of first born, raising of altars of sacrifice, use of water, Salt, and etc. for prayers.
Some indeed heard from Him but it was a delusion He sent to them so that they would believe the lie and be condemned, for resisting His truth. At this point, let me explain something fearful to you about this kind of divine judgment. I pray that it never happens to any of us but we need to know how it works so that we can avoid it.
When God want to judge you for resisting His truth, He will even show you visions, or use circumstances or someone you trust to convince you to become part of a Church that is indeed false or a false prophetic movement that will be presented to you a true or a synagogue of Satan called house of God. You will never know you went there to be judged for not receiving the love of His truth, you will think you went there to have your problems solved.
With the evidence that you truly heard from the LORD, you will remain in that place irrespective of the evils that may be happening there, until you die and go to hell. Nothing on earth will ever convince you that your man of God is a wizard, a scam or your woman of God a witch. That is how fearful it is to fall into the hand of the LORD.
A major highlight in our devotional text this morning says;
“Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.”
This scripture is one of the lamentations of the almighty in the Bible. People do not like heeding his commandments hence coming under His correctional judgement of strong delusions.
What is the message this morning? The message is simple; God never designed that we come under any correctional judgement. It is our carnal desires and love for lies that usually bring us into it. It always begins from the place of running after God just to have your heart desires granted to you, instead of pursuing Him to know Him.
You may not like this but it’s my job to warn you. Please stop attending Churches or listening to preachers who major in praying or preaching to have people’s hearts desires granted by the LORD. It is Dangerous to your eternal life.
LET THIS SCRIPTURE BE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR US TODAY;
“Oh, that My people would listen to Me, that Israel would walk in My ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their adversaries.
“The haters of the Lord would pretend submission to Him, but their fate would endure forever. He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat; and with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you.” Psalms 81:13-16 NKJV
