TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Tuesday 17TH August 2021)
“As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” Psalms 103:13-14
WELCOME TO THE 229TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
The LORD who has kept us for these 229 days not because we are worthy of it. No! It is because He is worthy! He is not just worthy, He is loving, compassionate and kind.
It God were not love; no human would have been in existence. If God was like the god of thunder of the Yoruba race in Nigeria, or Amadioha of the Igbos, no human being would have been alive.
But our GOD is not a god. He is GOD, full of love and compassion. That is why we are not consumed. Please do not let anyone confuse you about the steadfastness of God’s love and kindness towards you.
Aggrieved prophets and prophetess may have presented God as cruel and insensitive because of selfish gains but that is not the picture of who He really is. My life is a testimony.
I have done so much that would have made Him throw me away. And you too if you are sincere to yourself. But our repentance has always stirred love from His heart to us.
If you want to know if someone is loving and kind, watch how he or she treats your repentance. GOD treats our repentance so well that as soon as we repents, genuinely of course, He makes our lives beautiful; yes, so beautiful that none can trace that we were really bad.
True repentance will exhume love and forgiveness from a kind heart. That is why if someone repents genuinely and you refuse to forgive the person, hell becomes your home because of your un-forgiveness.
On the flip side, when you are forgiven, please do not go on with your evil deeds. Because if you do, God Himself will be the one to allow time to judge you severely. Whatever a man sow he will reap. If you are fund of rewarding forgiveness with another round of evil deeds, you will have yourself to blame one day.
A time is going to come that even the earth will begin to react against you.
People who take mercy and forgiveness for granted will end up grinded in life. You don’t take God’s mercy or the mercies and forgiveness of someone you hurt for granted. If you do, a time is going to come that you will be in adversity that even prayer will not be able to sort you out. It will take restitution to be sorted out.
AND YOU CAN ONLY RESTITUTE IF YOU CAN REACH THE PARTY INVOLVED.
Meaning, the earth may put you in a situation where you will not even be able to reach the party or parties involved, leading to your total destruction or sudden demise. The reason for all these is for us to learn how to extend the frontiers of God’s mercies from heaven to the earth.
Indeed, He has been faithful and its good for us to be faithful to each other too.
Every Child of His on the face of the earth feeds from His faithfulness and special care. We should also be faithful to others even as they treat us with love and mercy.
Do you know that we are the only breed of God on earth with special angels assigned to watch over us? We are the only breed with special access to God’s Heart?
We are the only ONES who can sit with Him in Heavenly places, executing the judgment that is written along with the Heavenly host of His angels? All these are privileges that we must not take for granted.
We are the only ones who will sit with God in the Age to come to judge angels. That is love at its highest level.
It is very impressed to note that there is a higher life coming after the consummation of all things, and that life was pre planned for us before the world began. Hallelujah!
Let me share with you some things that may add to your wisdom bank this morning, and maybe improve your walk and talk with God.
Eternally, our God is the judge of all but has also made us judges of some. David said;
“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.
You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, All sheep and oxen — Even the beasts of the field,
The birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas; O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth! .” Psalms 8:3-9 NKJV
This scripture is full of revelation of the privileges we have in Christ. If you are genuinely saved, you are a unique breed on the face of the earth. You may not be proud of how you have lived your life in the past, but be proud of being a Son of God in the present. What really matter is not your past but your present.
IT IS WHAT YOU ARE NOW THAT WILL DETERMINE WHAT YOU WILL BE IN FUTURE, NOT WHAT YOU WERE IN THE PAST.
If you are saved and sanctified now, and continue that way, it will give you a glorious life in future. So, it’s not the past you that will determine your future but the present you. That is why some of us are proud of our salvation and what the LORD did for us on the cross.
Yes, we have every reason to be proud of our salvation even if the world hates us for being saved. We have every reason to be proud of our salvation even if we have no food to eat, money to pay rent or buy good clothes. We have every reason to be proud that we are saved even if we suffer for being saved.
Our salvation is something to be proud of, friends.
We are the only ones that the creator of Heaven and earth talks to and reveal things He wants to do on the face of the earth long before they are done. We are the only ones He share His secrets with.
That is why if anyone is looking for God’s secrets, He should not go the moon or the sun to search for them, neither should he go to any university to read about them. He should just meet us – the saved and sanctified – the redeemed of the LORD. He will find much more than any university can offer about God and His ways. Hallelujah! The Bible says;
“The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.” Psalms 25:14 NKJV
If someone is mocking you about your salvation, please cheer up, you are a unique breed. It’s just that they do not know!
YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS AT A HIGHER LEVEL.
They may have a relationship with the president but your relationship is with Jesus Christ the ancient of Days and governor among the nations. They may have a relationship with the owners of all the greatest companies in your nation, but you have a relationship with the owner of the entire planet. That is relationship at the highest level. The Bible says;
“The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters” Psalm 24:1-2 NKJV
If our relationship with the owner of the entire planet and everything in it is intact, we are superior to them and cannot be denied access to what He owns. The Bible says no good thing will He withhold from anyone who walks uprightly.
God has made so much investment in us that He cannot afford not to care for us. He has made so much investment in us, that He cannot afford not to have us with Him in the next life. That is why Christ is weeping for those who are presently in hell and working by His Holy Spirit to stop those who are on their way there from getting there.
To us who fear His name, our devotional text has a lot to say how He treats us! It says;
“As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust” (Psalms 103:13-14).
I don’t care what you feel about yourself as a child of God; God has great care and concern for you.
Sometimes we believe, think and feel otherwise. You see, whenever Satan want to kill a man who is walking with God, He will convince the person otherwise about how God sees the person. Its important to always stand with the word not your feelings.
The Bible says He pities those of us who fear Him for He knows our frame. That should not depart from your heart.
It’s my prayer that He uses this short devotional word to fire your faith into alignment with His plans and purposes for your life even today in Jesus precious name. AMEN!
