TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL (Saturday 18TH September 2021)
Say to God, “How awesome are your works! Through the greatness of your power your enemies shall submit themselves to you.
All the earth shall worship you and sing praises to you; they shall sing praises to your name.” Psalms 66:3-4 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 262ND DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS!
In His Amazing Grace we are alive today to tell of His goodness and mercies. Yes, in His amazing Grace, we can sing songs of deliverance and display the lovingkindness of Jesus in our lives. He has watched over us and kept us as a refuge from the teeth of our enemies. To Him belong the glory in Jesus precious name. Amen
This morning we will be refreshing our minds on the importance of God’s power in the life of a believer. It may interest you to know that the first thing Jesus will give you when you meet Him in Spirit is power not money.
Sadly, the false teachers of prosperity among us have presented money as the first thing you will get from the LORD, hence making so many powerless and keying those who see the need for the supernatural power of God in their lives into the power of Baal. Now, we have more worshipers of Baal in so many Churches than worshipers of GOD.
How do you know if you are a worshiper of Baal? if the Almighty God is a god of deliverance and prosperity to you, you are a Baal worshiper. If money and deliverance are all you run after God for, you are a worshiper of Baal, because that is the god that manifest with the two in on the face of the earth to counterfeit the true God.
That is why Jesus never promised us deliverance and money when He came. He promised us His Holy Spirit and a Kingdom. He said It is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. That is why He makes you a Kingdom Citizen when you meet Him. But the false Christ makes you a Baal worshiper; one seeking God to meet his financial or need for deliverance with no desire for His kingdom, power and glory.
One of the greatest curses on the human race remains a life without the supernatural power of God. There are lives with the supernatural power of Baal and Asherah in them. Such lives share in the curses of the devil, that is why they break them every month.
BUT IT IS LIVES WITH THE SUPERNATURAL POWER OF GOD THAT ARE BLESSED.
One may have financial power, and you must understand that there are three major sources of financial power. So if that financial power is not a product of God’s power to get wealth, it will be a curse to the one who has it. It is when money comes from the womb of God’s power and Holiness that it becomes a blessing in our lives.
Do not forget, money is not always a blessing. It can be a curse. That is why the Bible says;
“Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me; Lest I be full and deny You, and say, “Who is the LORD?” Or lest I be poor and steal, and profane the name of my God.” Proverbs 30:8-9 NKJV
This is a prayer for an economic prosperity that does not defile the possessor. It is a prayer for a non-flamboyant but blessed economic life because there is money that is a curse on those who have it, and there is money that is a blessing in the lives of those who have it. The source of it and the person who lives in them is what determines the difference.
If the source of it is the power to get wealth in God’s kingdom, and the person living in them is Christ, the money, no matter how small it is, will be a blessing in their lives. It will be like the two fishes and five loaves of bread that looked small but satisfied every need when it was broken and given to the disciples to feed the hungry.
People have generally considered money to always be a blessing. But that is not always true. Money is a curse to you when it is not helping you to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
YES, MONEY IS A CURSE TO YOU IF IT IS NOT MAKING YOU FRUITFUL IN THE THINGS OF GOD.
It is a curse in your life if it is bringing defilement and making you impure, ungodly, or lawless. That is the kind of money that will make hell your home. But God forbids. I better remain poor than to have that kind of money. If the only way to make money is to steal,
I choose to be poor and wait on the LORD for strategies to make money the righteous way. He is faithful; I only need to wait in patience and He will come through for me.
The Bible says;
“Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. He himself shall dwell in prosperity, And his descendants shall inherit the earth.
The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.” Psalm 25:12-14 NKJV
The truth remains, there is no shame to those who wait upon the LORD to teach them how to make money the righteous way if the only way available to them is to steal. We live in a corrupt world that require this kind of faith position to make money the righteous way.
There are so many in Church who are matching to hell because of the source of their money. They found themselves in economic systems and situations that only presented sinful and ungodly opportunities to them, and they made use of them. Today they have grown rich, but have also lost the required purity for making Heaven.
The blind celebrate them as rich and great but God calls them poor, wretched and naked. The way they made their money stripped them of the garment of righteousness and left them with either rags or nakedness in the spirit.
When God created man and placed him in the Garden of Eden, He clothed man with His glory and put wealth under His control. It was when the glory was stripped that man lost the wealth.
Today, our LORD and savior Jesus Christ has died on the cross and brought back what we lost. But we can never have it through sinful or ungodly ways. We will still be naked and poor in God sight if our prosperity came through sinful and ungodly ways.
UNTIL THE GLORY CLOTH US WITH GOD’S HOLINESS, ANY WEALTH THAT COMES WILL RUIN OUR LIVES ETERNALLY.
When we are clothed with His Holiness, it begins to deal with our filthiness by giving us the power not to be comfortable in sin, but overcome temptation and lead lives of righteousness on the face of the earth. It is the same power that will manifest as the power to get wealth in our lives.
Do not forget, power was the instrument God gave to Adam in the beginning; it was called DOMINION. He used it to subdue every other created thing on the face of the earth as God had commanded. That was his instrument of not just ruler ship as God’s regent on earth but prosperity.
All animals and created things obeyed him because he spoke in power. Without that power he would not have been able to name the animals. That is the life Jesus died on the Cross to restore to us. But many are meeting the devil to get the power that counterfeit that life. They are the magicians we see all around.
You can have the original back because Christ has made it possible. You only need to ask for it. Our devotional text says;
Say to God, “How awesome are your works! Through the greatness of your power your enemies shall submit themselves to you.”
This scripture pains the necessity of God’s power in our lives, especially today that we need covid 19 and every other pandemic that may be on their way to submit to us. So long as these end times and their horrors are concerned, this is the wrong time to lack God’s supernatural power in your life.
You must understand that without the supernatural power of God in your life, curses will rest on you, evil will thrive or feed on your life, you will be subjected to what is killing every ordinary man on the street.
Without the power of God in your life, sicknesses and diseases will hold sway in your life. Without the power of God in your life devils will turn your kids, business, ministry or whatever carries your name into a playground of afflictions. You must understand that the greatest hindrance to the success of many on the face of the earth this end times will be an absence of God’s supernatural power in their lives!
Our devotional text made it clear that enemies will not submit to us through the greatness of our boasting, anger, hatred, or ill feelings towards them. That will even make us vulnerable to their attacks. That is why Jesus said,
“love your enemies. Pray for those who hate and despitefully use you.”
The enemies will submit to us through the greatness of the God’s supernatural power in our lives. If you catch the revelation of what God is saying this morning, you will choose to die than to live a Christian life without the greatness of God’s power flowing through it.
The source of the power that your enemies will submit to is the glory of God. The Bible described that glory as “the womb of His Holiness.” In other words, the very place where God’s Holiness flow from is the same place this power we are talking about flow from!!
That is why people who truly walk in God’s power, also walk in God’s Holiness. There is no middle ground. Without Holiness no eye shall see God’s genuine power breaking forth in or through them. The could see a little anointing but no greatness of God’s power. If you want the greatness of Gods power, you must press into the womb of His Holiness through strong consecrations and deep intimacy with the LORD.
Deep intimacy with GOD with strong consecrations are the only keys that turns His power on in our lives. When the apostles gave themselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word, it was an act of consecration and deep intimacy. They walked in the greatness of God’s power as a result and turned their world upside down with devils screamed wherever they went and coming out permanently out of people.
They were not spending time with women like our present day deliverance prophets, and coming out with the power of Baal they call power of God, to make evil spirits they network with screams in deceit through the voices of the lost who go to them for help; influencing people to confess what they did not know on television.
They were not giving people oil to drink, or asking them to use salt in prayer or light up candles. They never practice charismatic voodoo. Time to come out of these nonsense and go for the true power of God.
If you will give yourself entirely to prayers and to the ministry of the word as the early church did, you will truly walk in the greatness of God’s power and see your enemies submit themselves to you. That is the message of today’s devotional!!!
