TODAY’S DEVOTION (Wednesday 20TH October 2021)
“But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves.”
“You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” says the Lord of hosts.” Malachi 4:2-3 NKJV
WELCOME TO THE 293RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.
Welcome to another glorious day for our LORD Jesus Christ! Today we will be assembling at our apostolic center for a special word and prayer summit; a continuation of what the LORD started with us at the second service.
The heavens declare the glory of god; and the firmament shows his handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
His proceeding word has been feeding our spirit man, and converting souls, and making the wise the simple and humble. Faithful is He who has called us who also will keep doing it!
May be you woke up this morning feeling very far away from God.
In moments like that, you may think God has departed from you and has become far away. But scriptural truth tells us that when God seems far away, He has not really departed from us, rather we are the ones who have departed from the faith position we were when He seemed close.
Let me explain this in another way!
God can be likened to be the Sun and we His children the moon or other planets. In fact, Jesus is called the Sun of righteousness, positioned to give a constant energy to the Church. The sun does not depart from the moon, the earth, or any other planet. It is fixedly positioned in one place to give light to all.
In the same way, Jesus does not depart from any one of us. He is fixed or positioned in the Spirit realm to give His Supernatural SUN-POWER to all His Children on the face of the earth, by the power of His Holy Spirit.
Don’t forget, when He was physically departing from the earth, He made this promise to us,
“lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen (Matthew 28:20 NKJV).
Truly, He is with us. He has not departed from us; at least that is why I for one am alive.
IF THOSE WHO HATE ME HAS THE POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH, I WOULD HAVE BEEN NO MORE. BUT THEY SO NOT!
Like the Sun gives light to the planet, Christ has been giving us light through His Holy word and Spirit. His word positions us properly, and His Spirit reaches us powerfully! If the word does not position you properly, the Spirit will never reach you powerfully. That is why God will first speak to you before He moves to touch you.
If you study the solar system, you will realize that the same principle in written all around it. Creation sometimes helps us to understand the ways of God. It is the position the moon, the earth, and other planets take AROUND the sun that determines if they will get from it what it was created and positioned to give to them.
For instance, the proper positioning of the planet earth to receive light and energy from the sun, is responsible for the growth of plants and animals on planet earth. The role of the Sun in making plants to grow is called “Photosynthesis.” Photosynthesis is only possible if the earth takes the creator’s position in its relationship with the sun.
There is no space to state in details how the proper positioning of the planet earth is helping it to be impacted with life from the sun. The Bible actually says it is this positioning that helps us on planet earth to mark our calendars; that is to mark seasons, years, and days.
Meaning, none of these will be possible if the earth decides to move away from the position God planted it around the sun. Now, if we bring all that into our relationship with Jesus Christ, we will be able to understand God’s Word to us this morning.
Our devotional text says;

THE FIRST THING YOU MUST UNDERSTAND IN THIS TEXT IS THE NEED FOR “PROPER FAITH POSITION” IN THE SPIRIT.
Like we share earlier, God (Jesus Christ) is like the Sun. It is the position we take in Him that determines if we will have His presence in our lives or not. If we are not properly positioned in our faith, we will not be able to receive anything from Him as the sun of Righteousness.
For instance, our Holiness proceeds from Him.
If we are not properly positioned in our faith, we will not be able to receive it; leading to a life of sin, lawlessness and iniquity. If you are, therefore, struggling with sinful habits, all you need is this positioning. If you positioned properly, you will receive the energy from Him to break from the yoke.
Also our revelatory power proceeds from Him.
If we are properly positioned in faith we can be receiving accurate visions, revelation, prophetic foresight and insight into people’s lives, the circumstances that surrounds us, and etc. People like Moses, Samuel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Elijah and Elisha, and the rest of the prophets who operated in divine accuracy gained such prophetic powers through proper positioning in the spirit.
If you want to operate accurately in the prophetic you must locate the faith position to take around the Sun of righteousness in the Spirit, so that He can be rising upon you to unleash it.
In the same way, our health, a permanent freedom from hell and satanic yokes, our economic prosperity, our marriages, and all the blessings, miracles and divine visitations we need from Him; as the Sun of Righteousness, will not come until we locate the receiving faith position to take in the Spirit.
The Bible says;
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
“Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” James 4:7-10 NKJV
HIDDEN IN THE SCRIPTURE ARE THE MANY FAITH POSITIONS TO TAKE TO RECEIVE THESE THINGS FROM GOD.
The first is submission to God (and all spiritual and godly authorities), the second is resisting the devil (and works of the flesh), the third is drawing Near to God through deep intimacy sessions, and finally the fourth, cleansing our hands and purifying our hearts (by spending time with sanctifying truths).
All these are not possible without the fear of the LORD in our hearts!
In fact, our devotional text mentioned “the fear of the LORD” as the first faith position to take in receiving impact from the Sun of Righteousness. It says;
“But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings…”
When we fear God, it properly positions us for supernatural SUN- POWER from the Sun of Righteousness. It brings Healing, spiritual growth and operating in supernatural power upon our lives as He rises.
There is a lot of struggle to succeed among the saints today. But as the scriptures say, we fight and lust and get nothing because we do not ask. And when we ask we end up asking amiss because we do not know. We ask keeping friend ship with the world instead of with God.
In that way we will get nothing.
A people of God who keep friendship with the world will never escape the woes in the world. Friendship with the world is what leads to worldliness; making us enemies of God! We often forget that we are not of this world. We forget that we belong to an age to come! We keep friendship with a world that we are not of, consequently loosing things that belongs to us in the Kingdom of GOD.
I don’t know what you are looking for or want from God. The truth is “it is not lost.” You are the one who have lost the position you need to have it in your life. The problem is not your problem; the problem is lack of positioning in the Spirit.
OUR ASSIGNMENT AT THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT MINISTRIES IS TO TEACH YOU AND OTHERS BACK TO PROPER FAITH POSITIONS IN THE SPIRIT.
We have a mandate to uncover forgotten truths and bring our generation back to the proper faith that was once delivered to the saints; positions that our Apostolic Fathers took in the early Church to unleash the kingdom, power and glory of God in their days.
You must locate ministries like ours around you and plant yourself there these end times else you will not cease running after prophets and seers for a word from the LORD.
it’s a new day for you!
Make this devotional your meditation for today and other days to come, and your life will never remain the same. Meditating on sent words like these and others in the Holy Bible will make sure things sent against you from hell are neutralized at arrival. That was why God made meditation the success key of kingdom citizen in a world of evil like ours.
We all need to maintain great faith positions to draw daily from the Sun of righteousness Himself. Lack of proper faith positioning under God will cause a lot of pain in our lives. God created man to live through constant flow of things from His Spirit to us but we will never see that if we are not properly positioned under the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!
“Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:1-8 NKJV
