THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Monday 29th November 2021)

Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding lift up her voice? She takes her stand on the top of the high hill, beside the way, where the paths meet.

She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entrance of the doors: “To you, O men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of men. Proverbs 8:1-4 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 332ND DAY OF OUR YEAR OF HIGHER HEIGHTS.

Blessed be the name of the LORD for making it possible for us to see today. This year has been for us an eventful year; following all the LORD have been doing in our lives and through our lives. His mercies and marvelous deeds have been unmatched. His compassion and comfort for our souls has always been beyond description.

Indeed, what a mighty God we serve!

Through this devotionals, He has been very faithful in speaking and spewing Himself upon us. It’s just been glorious! We have been encountering a lot of divine wisdom from the great word sessions we have been having at our Apostolic Center; all of which have been streamed online. It has been divine wisdom galore for many of us.

Not the wisdom of this age that is coming to nothing but divine wisdom or the wisdom of God. You see, the wisdom of God is usually not from the earth. It is usually from the world of God. But it cries every day on the streets of the earth looking for who to help. It is outsourced from Heaven, which is why you don’t find it by going to Harvard University or London School of Economics.

You find it in the deeper places of the Spirit of the living God.

The vision of divine wisdom is to help men because divine wisdom is God’s instrument designed to help us, mankind, to manage our lives, the earth and the authority Heaven delegated to us properly. It is a class of wisdom that outclass every other which cannot be found on the surface of human learning. Deep must call unto deep for it to be found!

WHY MUST DEEP CALL UNTO DEEP TO FIND DIVINE WISDOM? THE REASON IS SIMPLY.

To start with, divine wisdom is not just an application of divine knowledge, divine wisdom is a person. His name is Jesus Christ. He is revealed by the preaching of the gospel. The Bible made this clear when God stirred Apostle Paul to write these blessed words;

“For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness,

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:22-24 NKJV

He was the one who inspired Solomon to become the wisest person to have ever lived. He was indeed the power behind the exploits of his wisdom. He powered him to have wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.

The Bible says;

Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt.

For he was wiser than all men — than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations.

He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five. Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish.

And men of all nations, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom, came to hear the wisdom of Solomon. 1 Kings 4:30-34 NKJV

No mortal man would have ascended this level of wisdom if the immortal God had not manifested in His life as the wisdom and power of God.

Jesus is the wisdom and the power of God. Before He entered into the womb of Mary as word, to be flesh and dwell physically among men, He was spiritually on the earth among men doing all the wonders that were written in the Old Testament, including powering Solomon to become the wisest man.

HE SAID IN MATTHEW CHAPTER 12 VERSE 42 THAT “…A GREATER THAN SOLOMON IS HERE.”

He called Himself “greater than Solomon” not because of the proverbs He spoke, or books He wrote but because He was the one behind Solomon’s wisdom. If the wisdom of God Himself manifests in your life, you will become wiser than Solomon, especially in your relationship with women. You will have just one wife in your life instead of the many he had. You will lead a holy life he never led.

So if you are looking for divine wisdom, Jesus Christ is divine wisdom.

There are steps I want to outlined at this point; steps you need to take to be accessing and operating in divine wisdom. These steps are actually the steps to take in meeting the Wisdom of GOD Himself and allowing Him to manifest what He is, in and through you.

The first is being born again! It is a step to take in accessing the wisdom of God because it brings you to Christ the wisdom of God, and makes Him LORD of your life. The next step is using the grace of GOD upon your life to overcome the practice of sin.

If we do not overcome the practice of sin after getting saved, we will go back to our unsaved states but under the delusion that we are still saved because of our involvement with Church activities.

We will never operate the wisdom of God under the delusion that we are still saved after slipping back to our unsaved states, that is why you find so many believers living in foolishness. You do not find many operating the wisdom of God in so many things. From marriage matters, to money matters and to all other matters, it is usually foolishness galore. Many speak in a tongue that do not illuminate the mind to walk in Heavenly wisdom.

TO OPERATE IN HEAVENLY OR DIVINE WISDOM, ONE MUST HAVE THE WISDOM OF GOD HIMSELF, JESUS CHRIST, LIVING IN THEM.

To have Him living in us, we must be born again and follow it up with a life of purity and righteousness. Receiving the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, making the Bible our friend, and exposing ourselves to sound doctrine always, will further establish our hearts to walk in Divine wisdom.

Friend, if you need skills go to school, if you need Education go to school, but if you need divine wisdom Come to Jesus Christ the wisdom and power of God. The wisdom of God is higher than Education. Education brings information, but the wisdom of God brings revelation.

The Bible says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Not the knowledge from Educational institutions but the knowledge of the Holy One. That is why even professors and other well exposed and well learned people are ruined by the issues of life. If Education was what God referred to, then there would have been no destruction among the educated.

In simple terms, people are destroyed for lacking the revelation knowledge of God that the wisdom of God brings not for not going to school! That revelation knowledge is also called “Prophetic Revelation” or “vision” in scriptures.

In proverbs 29:18 the Bible says,

“Where there is no vision or prophetic revelation people perish.”

That is why wherever Jesus reigns as the wisdom of God in people’s lives things that make them perish in any aspect of life are eliminated. Our devotional text today says;

“Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding lift up her voice? She takes her stand on the top of the high hill, beside the way, where the paths meet. She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entrance of the doors: “To you, O men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of men.”

Jesus the wisdom of God has been crying through the pages of the scriptures, the preaching of the gospel, and through His Holy Spirit living in the Hearts of saved and sanctified men saying “To you, O men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of men.

FRIEND, EVEN THROUGH OUR DEVOTIONALS HE HAS BEEN CRYING.

Will you heed His cry? Will you put what He has been telling you through this medium to work in your life? Will you make the truths buried in His word your choices principles to live by? He said in His word;

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

“But everyone who hears these sayings of mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” Matthew 7:24-27 NKJV

As we bring the devotionals to a close, and as we prepare to embrace a new day, my prayer for you is that you be the wise man who built his house (life) on the rock! The rains of life come every day, the floods and the winds of life are always inevitable but if your life is on the rock of “doing the word” or “application of the voice of wisdom” you will not fall.

May this day bring the best of God your way! AMEN and amen!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION OF THE DAY

“Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.

He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalm 1:1-3 NKJV
